thismom4deals - Thanks so much for the K-cup train, my box arrived today! That was fast shipping, I kind of figured they would arrive today and sure enough they did. I only had a few of the varieties you sent, and am anxious to try so many of them! I love that you included some Wolfgang Puck that I don't have. I have the breakfast blend by him and that is a good one.

flugette - I packed up the box with another 10 for , and shipped it to you today. Now I'm here catching up and reading the sad news about your grandpa. I'm sorry for that and thinking about you.

I also bought a couple of the Philadelphia Cooking Creams to try. I got Sante Fe and Savory Garlic. It also comes in Italian Cheese & Herb and Original. I had never seen them before. They were $2.50 each.

TM4D -- HyVee had them in a little bunker in the meat department. They also had some $1 coupons and a little recipe book. Two different things, the coupon is not in the recipe book. They were not out, the meat lady gave them to me. But the bunker even had signs on the sides and I guess they demoed these the other day, so they should have them. Unless SC got them all.

They demoed the Creamy Chicken Fajita here and it was pretty good but cold, I think I'll make it more like a quesadilla. I got the Santa Fe and the Italian Herb and they were $2 here. Demo lady was wrapping it up and gave me a few of the Qs, expire 7/31

Wow, that is super fast!! Thanks, can't wait to get them!

Thanks, everyone, again, for all the kind thoughts and prayers. We received the last item we needed to file our taxes, so we're just hoping we can get everything done and tax return in our bank acct by the time they have the memorial service. Oddly enough, both my grandparents have long expressed their desire to be cremated, so that is what my dad and his sister are going to do, despite their strong disinclination. Thus, they can be a little more flexible with the service date, which is a blessing. Considering there are 13 grandchildren and their families flung far across the US, it will take a miracle to get everyone there.

My grandma has her ups and downs right now. Sometimes she understands what is happening and other times she doesn't. She was sent out of the room again today, because she couldn't stop bothering grandpa, and my aunt and dad were sitting with her. She asked if grandpa was going to be ok, and dad told her that he was very sick. She just hung her head and started crying, saying "What am I going to do without him?" The hospice nurses have warned my dad and my aunt that couples that are so close like this, so dependent on each other, when one dies, the other follows pretty close behind. Especially when they are not completely there mentally, like my grandma.

I am so thankful for such a sweet heritage - I am well aware that not everyone is blessed like this, as was evident just a couple weeks ago with my hubby's grandfather's passing.

OK, now its time to get my shopping list together and get out the door. Have a great evening, everyone!!

bunnies - glad you are back!

So...I finally called Keurig asking about my delayed order. Evidently one of the flavors was on backorder and they just sent my order out today (after 2 and a half weeks). Shouldnt they have notified me about this???? They are sending me 2 free coupons for the sampler packs, but I am still pretty irked.

Trying super, super hard to stay within my WW points this week. In the last month I have only lost 2 pounds. I cannot justify spending $40 a month to lose 2 flippin pounds. I want this 15-20 pounds off by summer!!!!

Dinner Wink Their website is crappy. I'll post some of the recipes in the book tomorrow. I'm going to try one that is "pocket" --sausage, mushrooms, peppers, ??, wrapped in pizza crust from a tube.

Nothing yet.

SC probably threw something at the demo lady and had her 'sister' grab the coupons. Other sister was screaming 'start the car, start the car'.

Let's blame it on the post holidays and getting back into a routine.. 2 pounds lost is better than 2 gained Wink

You can do it!! 20 pounds lighter by bathing suit time woot

I do know what you mean about paying though. Back when I used to go to WW, I hated to pay the money and get on the scales and not lose anything.. or lose .1 Funny thing is, I never minded paying on the weeks I lost 5 pounds laugh out loud

Folks at work have been talking about weight loss all day.. They went to a conference over the weekend and heard one of our docs praising the lap band.. now they all want it.. And most of them only could stand to lose 20 pounds or so.. They were saying that the doc said the lap band is one of the only things that will help you with long term weight loss and keeping it off shake head I have seen *many* people regain weight after those too. You gotta relearn your eating habits.. And of course he is gonna say that.. He wants your money Smilie

I've had issues with the Ortega mq as well. It always beeps coupon not accepted at Giant, and it's because like flugette said the products have various bar codes. I like their taco seasoning so much more than Old El Paso.

l2b, a friend of mine had the lap band done about 8 years ago and is very unhappy with it. Didn't lose all the weight she wanted to in the first place.

I've been thinking about the sleeve. There is a dr. assistant (maybe you call her a nurse) at my Dr's that just had this done. She was working only 1 week after surgery. I was shocked that she had it done to start with (not that big IMO), but was all laproscopic (sp).

Yes I agree you need to change your eating habits, but to take off as much weight as I need, it would be a LOT faster this way (and maybe my knees and ankles wouldn't hurt so much).

So I was Whee when the mail came bc it looked like I had all the forms I needed to do my taxes (turns out I need another one, dammit!). Anyways I am working on them now and I just got this message:
Quote :
Due to tax laws passed in December 2010, the IRS won't start processing returns with itemized deductions until mid-February. Just keep going and file your return with TurboTax now. We'll take care of everything to get your return processed as quickly as possible

A lady that I know had one of the surgeries done. I don't know exactly which procedure -- band, I think. She lost a tremendous amount of weight fairly quickly and was very glad she did it. I don't how much she lost but it was in excess of 100 lbs.

I have never heard of the sleeve? But, they do the banding laparoscopic too and supposedly has a quick recovery rate..

And, I do know it works for some people, and can be a jump start to getting some folks going.. I wasn't trying to say people shouldn't have it.. sorry, if it came off that way hug My point is.. the doctor was wrong to make it seem as if that is the only way to keep it off.. and the people I work with don't need to lose that much, they just want a quick and easy fix.. The one girl admitted it today, said she can't stand to diet, doesn't like water, and won't give up her favorites of bread and pasta.. I don't think they would do it on her anyway, cause she can't be more than 15 or 20 pounds over weight.

I have seen people be very successful and happy with it too.. I know atleast 3 nurses who I used to work with and they got it a few years ago and are still pleased.

If you are seriously considering it, make sure you take a look and see if there are any long term diet restrictions and such. The doctor told them that with the banding there were several things you could *never* eat again.. I don't know exactly.. they all went just to get education credits ot something, and I didn't go Smilie
