OH and I should say..perhaps you are having sympathy pains?
Hey, could be sympathy pains.

Nice to see a cute bunny avatar.

M2C - Reading the deals thread and I think 1 more SD'er in your area...
I saw that. WTF... they are coming out of the woodwork around here!

ank - I went through that with DS every now and then. He would eat and eat and eat. The ped said as long as I was giving him healthy options and not crap not to worry about it because he was happy and healthy otherwise.

Do you guys ever feel like your children are driving you insane? I have been really struggling the last few days with DS. He is on my LAST NERVE. Nothing really in particular that he's doing, just general annoyingness. I feel like a totally $hitty mom for feeling that way. Yesterday I snapped at him for something and then I felt horrible about it. Ugh. This parenting thing is tough. Hopefully I can get away from these lunatics this weekend for a couple hours and all will be right with the world.

Oh... and both my kids were born with blond hair. DS had a FULL head of thick white "billy idol" hair. I should see if I can find a picture. It was really amazing. The pediatrician told us that in 20 years, he's never seen a blond baby with so much hair. DD's hair is super long now. I put it in pigtails this morning and it sticks up so high now like chicken hair.

*snip* Seriously, you get too far north and I think "how to make sweet tea gene" is missing. I think it froze in the cold. True story. I live in Iowa, I know about this. *snip*
My dh and FIL are ADDICTED to that nasty brown flavorless tea....we ALWAYS have a big 'ol vat of it in our refrigerator. And I am always asking dh to clean up after himself after sloshing it all over and getting it all over the refrigerator, kitchen floor, and numerous other places Annoyed I hate that stuff laugh out loud

Quote from ank220 :
All you toddler moms... can I get some advice/opinions?

*snip*
Sounds like she is eating healthy stuff Ank, I wouldn't worry about it. Mine is a pretty predictable eater but does go through spurts like that.

I don't have too many rules for eating either but my one big one is that if you're hungry you can eat what's given to you --- I don't make a new meal if she doesn't 'like' it. She doesn't have to eat it (and of course I know what she likes and doesn't like so if I know she doesn't like the main dish I try to make sure there's veggies and fruit on the plate that she does) but I don't have an 'alternate' like the school lunch menu always did laugh out loud

My other is that there has to be a 'no-thank-you' bite. I think if I had a kid who fought this like the plague I probably wouldn't be too harsh with it but it's worked for us and dd doesn't fight it at all. So she at least tries everything but is not made to eat anything beyond that. Sometimes she eats a ton sometimes she really doesn't eat much. Toddlers!!

Huge thanks to Fireflymuse for the heads up that Publix is now selling Morningstar Corndogs. Worthy These are some of my favorite guiltfree foods and I crave them with mustard drool they had stopped selling them for a couple of years due to production issues.

Oh Publix peeps, if you want yummy coffee creamer, the Baileys (Irish Cream, etc.) creamers are 1.50 right now and up until last week, there were $1 off blinkies. .50 for yummy creamer for the Keurig is heart

At Target, Converse sneakers for boys and Men are 75% off Wink Also, in the men's stuff the sleep boxers in tins are 75% off-2.48 Smilie

Dazzled - I am so envious that you have a freezer full of meat. That is one thing I wish I could stock up on more.. I have a few steaks from target, a few packs of chicken and ground beef.. I do have an entire freezer full of bread and cookie dough, and half a freezer that still has TGIF meals in it. I am paranoid about losing a freezer and my food spoiling. I check that darn freezer in the garage almost every time I leave. So afraid the kids are gonna unplug it.
My kids (or DH) did unplug my one big 9cuft chest freezer in the shed. Just after we had ground up 200 lbs of beef from FIL job scraps. I could have killed! and to make it worse, it was discovered the day AFTER trash pick up, The can we put it in double bagged in black trash bags STILL smells horrendious!
Quote from gatorcater :
nod YES we moved 2 freezers. DH froze water in some big "to go" containers (I am sure your DH has some at work--the plastic ones like tupperware?) to make big ice packs...then he unpacked everything from the freezer, loaded the freezers onto the truck and then repacked the food & ice packs. This gave us the opportunity to go through the stuff on the bottoms of the freezers and throw out/give away what we knew we'd never eat. He loaded the freezers on last so they came off the truck first and he kept them plugged in until the very last minute (literally right before he drove out of our driveway Coverlaugh) with an extension cord. There was NO outlet on the truck we rented---Just don't open the freezer until it's ready to be plugged back in. The freezer was unplugged for 4 1/2 days and everything was still completely frozen. Smilie
:GASP!: woot I can't beleive it made it 4.5 days! If we drive straight thru with no pee breaks or food break for us OR the dogs, we can get there in 4 days Cool J/K If we dont stop for sight seeing we could do it.
Quote from gt6mk31 :
You would probably be fine. The fuller your freezers are, the better -- the colder they will stay. Your freezers could be left unplugged easily for a 2 or 3 days as long as they are full and not opened. As in don't open the door and peek just to make sure. You could also put a block of dry ice in there. Ice cream might not make it.

You can load them last so they are plugged in the longest, then unloaded and replugged first. Or, if they need to loaded sooner, plug them into a long drop cord and hook it up high so you can reach it to unplug it. If they are on the end of the truck and you get in late, just string a drop cord out there to the truck... of course, you have to remember to leave on out!
GENIUS!!! You is so smarty! We used to have a dry ice dealer in the Lowes Foods here but they didn't get enough business and pulled the freezer. I am sure I can find one somewhere around here. and I bet if I put it on both the top and bottom we would be perfect for more than 4.5 days!

Ha, uhm, every other day! DS#4 is now officially grounded for his little antics at Target this afternoon. But recently I have noticed that with my PMS, I can not even stand for one rule to be broken, one smart lipped comment, or any hint of disrespect. But if when I lash out, I always explain myself and apoligize. I remember how my alchohlic mother who was also Bipolar would treat me and I would understand, even then, that is just how she is, that is just how she is when she is drunk, that is just how she is when she is empty but an ''I'm sorry'' or ''I didn't mean it'' would have done so much for me.

Sounds like a growth spurt is about to occur. Don't worry too much about it but don't let her start getting fat either. No, I am not advocating dieting babies. They do that. There is also nothing wrong with saying no if you don't think she needs it. Next week she may not eat hardly anything and you'll wonder why she doesn't keel over.
Thank you.
thanks- almost missed the oscar mayer thing.... Smilie

But no worries, I will be bringing back other heads with me. Nobody picks on the bunnies and remains intact. Unless of course it's you gals, in that case, I just take my beating, hang my head low...

Thank you! Their website doesn't list WM as one of the stores for TX, but I'll make sure to check next time I'm there.

ETA: Just checked by WM and they don't have it. Frown Any other suggestions?

Ok. I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets like this. I just keep reminding myself that he's overall a REALLY good kid and that this too shall pass.
