I am having pain in my right breast since yesterday evening, it is not shooting or radiating pain, but it is nagging and constantly feeling the heaviness of that right breast. Got an appointment with the ob/gyn this afternoon, went in and saw her. After breast examination on both sides, she told me i am having cyst under the nipple, in a 90 degree angle.. also resembling the breast tissue.. she is unsure and told me not to worry, may not be serious..
She asked me if i have any question, i asked her if it is cancer, to which she said she don't think it is, but cannot tell for sure what it is, would be calling me with the results...
I was turbulent and cried there itself, cannot contain myself.. she also gave me script for bilateral mamogram and unilateral ultrasound. I am devastated and depressed. I am not sure how to react to it, except tearing all along...
Got an appointment for wednesday afternoon.. i am worried. I am an extreme pessimist and all those thoughts are scary. Have to divert..
will go pick up my son..
First of all hug hug It is normal to be worried, but try not to let it get the best of you.. Most breast cysts are benign.. I can totally sympathize with how you are feeling.. I had (well still have) cysts.. First time I felt a lump was 6 years ago when I was 33.. I made an appointment.. took 2 weeks to get in and I was nervous those 2 weeks. Went to the doc, got a script for a mammo and US.. First mammo for me and it hurt like heck.. US wasn't bad and the tech told me it looked fluid filled to her which was good. They sent me to a surgeon and she said it could be drained, but may likely fill again, or we could just watch it. It is very common for alot of women to get cysts and they get larger/more painful at certain times in your cycle. I keep a check and have mammos routinely now..
Glad they are getting you in on wednesday.. you won't have to stress about it too long!

I saw a listing on CL for a Keurig Elite (used a few times) $85 retail and they wanted to trade for dipes/wipes. I totally thought of Bunnies. What an easy trade that would be!

Oh my word ---- tell people a foot of snow is coming and their out in DROVES at the grocery stores!! T. was packed this AM. Luckily stock was good though; one time I went to T. before a snowstorm and they were completely out of milk....all kinds. Had a good cashier though and got checked out fast today laugh out loud

Clear-vanilla-huh?? Huh

I made this one with white-chocolate-caramel and it was yummy Recipe called for french vanilla but I always have to be different and try something new laugh out loud

Just to brag on my sister, here's a video linky [youtube.com]from youtube of her playing a hymn "He Hideth My Soul". Its her own original arrangement, and I may be biased, but I think she does a pretty amazing job. Not to mention, just 4 weeks ago she gave birth, and I think she looks great. Big Grin
OMG Amazing!!!! I play but NOT like that! Clap

I do - quite a bit. One of the things that seems to help me is hot water with lemon. I think there are some other remedies if you look online, but that seems to work the best for me - well, that and sleep. *hug*
Ugh I had this a few wks. ago and unfortunately woke up with it. Didn't know there were really ANY remedies so this is good info. Apparently aspartame consumption is linked to this. I am kind of wondering if this might be my issue. We don't eat much with aspartame in it BUT since we started dieting we do drink diet pop more than we ever did and I've had this much more over the last 3-4 mos. Scratchhead Now I'm wondering.

I think all marshmallow fondant recipes are similar but this is the one I found and have used and it has worked great, it doesn't use any butter though. http://whatscookingamerica.net/PegW/Fondant.htm

I liked her page because she has a question and answer section at the bottom and a lot of what I had wondered she talks about there. Also I made some fondant and only used about half so I put the rest in the fridge and it kept well for over a month, when I got it out to use it it looked, smelled, and tasted just like it had when it was fresh. I am pretty sure she also advises adding the dye at the melted marshmallow stage.

*snip*
LOVED that I could make the fondant ahead of time! I don't think I've ever seen an MMF recipe with the butter actually in it....I think some just call for it to use when you are kneading the powdered sugar in/handling it rather than shortening. I ended up using butter to do that part and then shortening to coat it when I wrapped it with Saran wrap and stuck it in the fridge since that was what was recommended as working well from some of the cake decorating sites. I cannot wait to decorate dd's cake this weekend!!!!

hug I understand the worry and fear, breast cancer is a huge fear of mine as well and have always been worried I will get it. I have a friend who gets those very often! Like every year at some point she ens up getting them drained, I guess it is common for them to come back too. They have never ended up being cancer, the first few times she was a basket case until the tests came back. Hang in there, apparently fluid filled cysts are very common. You have reminded me, now that I am done nursing (woohoo! finally!) I need to schedule my first mamagram thingy and I am scared! I keep hearing they hurt and it looks like such an horribly uncomfortable procedure, ugh, I need the other womanly check ups too. I am like you ank, in that I know I need to go in but I worry about the $$ and it would sure be easier to go if someone else would call and make the appt. I really don't have any desire to go at all, although I know most of us are that way, those invasive tests suck!

I should totally be looking for a Keurig this way, I am just way to cheap to buy one unless it is like 75% off. But to trade for one, I would LOVE to do that.

Gotta love the fast check outs! Wink
Oh be sure to post a pic! I had big plans of making DS a awesome Schooby Doo cake but with all the kids getting sick and then me too, and it lasted for so long! I didn't even make the fondant. Frown I ended up goint to Walmart on the way out of town and getting the Schooby Doo cake topper for $5 (they will sell them seperately Smilie ) and my MIL make a yummy chocolate cake with fudge frosting, it was delish! And the Schooby toppers looked great on top.

Also that Wilton frosting paint I read about other people using to make a awesome Scooby pic for the cake must be so new that no local stores carry it yet or it is online order only.

Today wasn't near as nice as yesterday here.. It rained over night and today is a little damp, overcast and 54 degrees. Actually a little breezy too.. But, it was perfect weather for a walk. I went out this afternoon determined to beat any rain showers. It would have been chilly if I were standing still, but the breeze was wonderful while I was walking.. Made it around the neighborhood and walked for about 35 minutes.. Wish, I would make myself get up and do that every morning first thing!

I don't think I am even gonna try to go spend my expiring coupons today.. Just not in the mood to shop. And no awesome deals are jumping out at me.. Besides, I am trying not to wear makeup with my eye issue and I don't like to go anywhere without it laugh out loud

Now, off to figure out what I am gonna make for dinner.. Chicken is thawed, but I don't have a plan yet..

nikayla... air popper: yep healthier than microwave popcorn. the microwave popcorn bags are laced with chemicals to get them to heat up and those chemicals do leach into the popcorn plus one of them releases vapors. everytime i hear one of these things, it depresses me because the food industry seems to have left nothing safe and clear.
i think stove would be healthiest but it's a safety balancing act with kids.

plastic spoons... all of mine are gone. as well as plastic measuring cups. and of course teflon cookware. the bakeware is the last of things to be phased out. and then my focus is turning to appliances. i want all jars etc to be stainless steel or glass. works for blender jar and citrus juicer. but i've yet to find any food processors with glass jars. bah. also have to find cast iron sandwich maker and waffle iron and get a cast iron grill pan so i can discard these non-stick appliances. as is, we don't use em much because of the teflon factor.

It expensive too! I use glass cake, pie, and bread pans. I do parchment on jelly roll and cookie sheets too. Amazon has some stainless ones that aren't horrible. Restaurant supply places often have them too. I would love a glass jelly roll pan and if it had a snap on lid like my cake pan, that would be a bonus. Hey, Pyrex, are ya listening!!
glass cake pans? didn't know they existed! have to go look for them! and thanks for stainless pan at amazon tip! i will look!
parchment is expensive... we use the chlorine free kind (don't want chlorine coming into contact with any of my food) and that's even more expensive and no coupons ever. that's why i really want to find stainless steel bakeware. grease, dust, cook, clean, done. although i have to say, parchment makes cleanup so much easier and nothing ever sticks, but everything browns well. it's awesome.

OV butter - organic valley butter. it is real butter, just organic. tastes just like home-churned butter. if you try it once, you will never buy conventional again, cos the flavor is just so BIG.

kay, ov butter... look beyond the mainstream stores. i found em for 3.99/lb at a store, and then on sale for 2.99. used 1/1 qs. Big Grin WF had a sale on them a few months ago, plus there was a wfq which i stacked with the mq to make it $2/lb also. just have to be on the lookout. also keep an eye out on ebay. ppl do sell qs for OV from health food mags and such.
and I bet you could write to OV and see if they mail you some.

kay, i am praying for you as of now. take a deep breath and try not to worry so much. you won't know till you know, right? until then, you can't do anything about it. you just have to leave it in Heaven's hands. I know that is easier said than done, but, try. try to say a prayer and say please do so it's nothing worrisome and please take care of this load for me because I don't feel strong enough to bear it. Leave it on Heaven's shoulders.

what's important is that you were proactive and so was your doctor.

lots of hug and Pray coming your way.

separate note: can i just whine a moment - we are going to get 20 inches of snow over 2 days, tues and wed. i want to cry. we have a big MM catalina deal going on at a grocery store here. i don't have any ride this week, so the plan was for me to try to make it in public transportation and slowly, slowly, slowly get us some stuff, while also getting the MM cats for produce etc. plus there are dollar doublers this week. such a big grocery week, and we need stuff!! how am i going to get out? how am i going to go? so frustrating. i'm think of amping up nsaid intake to compensate for not taking the sleep-inducing meds, and then attempting to drive myself. what do you gals think? not sure if i'll manage cos right shoulder and arm hurt enormously as does chest and my left knee is constantly locking up, BUT... i hate feeling so helpless. ugh.

I hadn't either until I read it online and they did say they were really new. What you do is find a pic you want to use and tape it to a flat surface. Cover the pic with wax paper and tape wax paper down too. First use black icing paint to trace the pic, let it dry. Fill in the color parts very carefully making sure to get the edges all filled in. Put in freezer or fridge to let it set up. If there are letters be sure to make them backwards and not to trace them or they will be backwards when you transfer. Once icing paint is set up and cake is iced and set up you lay the wax paper with icing paint on the cake and smoth the pic down, the pic transfers over.

Sounded pretty cool to me! I was going to use the fondant to make a rectangle cake into a low flatish Mystery Machine and then put a big Schooby pic on the top with the icing paint transfer.

I wish the asshats in the food industry could all be arrested for what they have done to us and hide from us. Ugh! I remember reading some of the workers in the microwave popcorn manfu getting cancer after many years of working with that stuff daily. :chairbash:

Oh how I wish you lived closer and I could just come take you! We don't get that good of grocery deals around here in the land of never doubles etc. I don't think you should drive yourself though, sounds scary in that you may end up very sick with pain and stranted. I know you feel helpless but better safe and home than helplessly stuck in a parking lot with a pile of groceries in pain and unable to drive. You don't think about it driving but you do use a lot of core muscles and you are just starting to heal. You don't want to damage your healing trying to do to much.

glad you are getting to go..

We did our taxes last night and sent them electronically, but apparantly they won't even start processing them until mid February, which sucks, IMO.. But, we are getting a rather nice return, so I guess I won't complain too much.. I just wish it was coming sooner Frown
We normally file online and get it pretty quick.. and usually pretty broke this time of year!
Yep, HRblock took our $90 without telling us that we wouldn't be getting our money for 10 WEEKS!!! I only filed right then and there cause I wanted my money. Luckily I was able to have that YS because that $90 was our gas money for 2 weeks.

I've used them twice now at a grocery store without beeps. And of course, hubby just took out the trash with the pizza boxes, so I can't compare the codes. Bummer! And you're sure you got DiGiorno? Not say, um, Red Baron or something? Big Grin
