I've done it both ways. I usually just throw the breasts in, but I've done a whole chicken before. It was yummy.

I usually dump a pack of boneless/skinless breasts (M2C Teehee) in but if I'm making chicken and dumplins, I used bone-in breasts and use the broth for my dumplins

That's what I was thinking. The whole chicken is hard to deal with, & not quick at all.
OK, I got another question for you food pros Big Grin, my oldest son has become aware of what he's furiously stuffing in his pie hole. Finally figured out that he doesn't eat healthy foods. I've been preaching it for years, but the coaches at school are starting in on the kids. He never believed me though. Anyway, he wants some healthy snacks. I don't mind cooking, but also am curious about what I can buy. I told him nuts were OK (I'm almost afraid to say that after the breast thingBig Grin). I'm trying to ease him into it, bc if it's too much of a change & if he feels like he's being deprived, he won't do it. IOW, I'm not going to go out & buy all fruits & veggies & tell him that's his alternatives. He's a really big kid (not at all fat, just big), so it's going to have to be substantial. I also mentioned that some cererals eaten dry are OK. We've done a bunch of bars & he's tired of those.
Any suggestions? And thanks!

I don't Keurig, but do they also have the Millstone ones? There was a $2 out for those. (wait... what's your super doubles up to? Just $1.99?)
They might work at Kmart, as I think Kmart's includes $2 Qs (this week only, $2 doubles, limit of FIVE Qs, and must have a $25 purchase).
The Millstone ones weren't on sale, but thanks for the idea. I had sort of forgotten about that coupon, so I just need to keep an eye out at Target and see if I can't squeeze them in a run.

My brother, who is also a big guy but not fat, and has a voracious appetite but wants to eat moderately healthfully, will eat boiled eggs as a snack. Lots of protein and fills you up, and not full of junk like other stuff.

I had so much fun at Bloom today, and I am now officially exhausted. Seven total transactions, 3 with kids, 4 without. Total spent was less than $35. Big Grin And I got a buttload of stuff for that amount, including a huge hunk of pork, plus other meats, plus oh just lots of stuff. It was nice to be able to have fun shopping again.

Now over on our side there's just barely a skiff. They bladed our parking lot and driveway this morning but it clearly wasn't necessary. Now down south, a whole different story according to the little papa - ice under the snow. Yikes!!! (I better not get a phone call this afternoon that they decided to take a drive to see how bad it really was!!!) Here, I keep waiting for the skies to open up and just lay some on us, but not so far. Well, off to collect Ruthie's list. Told her it was too cold out for her today with the wind.
You are real sweetie...Ruth is lucky to have you...

She's so adorable but she's a colicky little chit. She spends a lot of time in her swing. I mean, it borders on child abuse I think laugh out loud But, as soon as you take her out to snuggle her, she starts to cry again Frown I've heard Weg's has good food and decent prices yummy
Oh dear, she would be ok... She looked damn cute in the picture that you posted some time back...Swings are very soothing, mine had acid reflux and i had him in swing (minus the movement), still he was so attached to it..
Wegmans is great store, you get everything you look for. I almost shop there every week, but i think prices are decent and most items that i buy dont go on deals, no printing cats.. and i love love that place..that is the only place where i get FF lactose free OV milk..
They have basil pesto sauce in their oilve bar, truly die far one.. no added stuffs, freshly made daily..i could go on and on..

Something I make up and put in a ziploc for when I'm hungry is a hard salami and cream cheese roll up. Thin sliced hard salami from the deli and some Garden Veggie cream cheese spread over it and rolled up. Low carb, high protein, easy to make and great to store. They are also good as an appetizer.
