WTH? I haven't changed any settings, and I've been doing fine with SD. Did something change? What the hell is this file?
I'm getting it both here and in the drugstore forum. After the virus I got from SD, I don't dare leave my pop-up blocker off. Bronc, did you report it in the site issues, problems, etc directory? If not, will you please?

IDK what that msg is, but I was a little Annoyed that they updated the site to read my IP and tell me what deals there are locally in my area.

I'd PM admin on that.

Ugh. I am not typically a crying person, but I'm getting a play-by-play of grandma and it's kind of rough to sit through. DH isn't home yet and doesn't have a phone with him. My MIL is a wreck. There's nothing I can do. Sadwalk

Looks like it will be a surprising if grandma lasts the night. hug
So sorry Ank hug

Do you cut it up (the breast) or just throw the thing in whole?
I throw it in whole.. When it cooks all day, it will be falling apart and then if there is a bone, it just comes right off.. If boneless, well then of course, the meat is just falling apart and very east to shred.

when a person is off dialysis, since there is no blood filtering going on, the toxins build up in the blood. that chemical build up results in delirium and eventually coma because it affects the brain. once the brain is affected, it impacts involuntary functions, like breathing, because the brain controls that. they're all signs of the body shutting down.

i am so very sorry. it is such a painful thing to watch some drift away, no matter how long they have lived. i am so deeply deeply deeply sorry for your DH and his family.
yeah, when the toxins build up, it is kinda like they drift off to sleep.. A very peaceful kinda thing though.. and they seem to be so comfortable. From being a nurse 20 years, I have seen more people pass away than I care to remember. I know from losing both my parents though, that death is never easy, no matter how it comes hug

Had 2 magnificent runs yesterday. Found some London Broil for $2.99/lb. Someone must have gotten sticker happy with the $3TQs...because all of the packages had them, so I got several packages for $0.38-$0.50 each

Thanks for the tip about chicken in the crock pot. I get totally grossed out touching chicken and well, any raw meat...will be doing that trick over the weekend. I think the only thing more skeevy is eggs. I heart eggs but if even a little bit of cooked or raw gets on the counter or floor, I feel that I have to sterilize and steam clean the entire kitchen.

Anyone cooking for Super Bowl? We are going to a potluck party and DH is making mini Beef WellingtonsPuff pastry, steak (preferably filet, but most will do), portabello or cremini mushrooms and marsala wine for the sauce/roux inside. Each wellington is about 2 bites....Scrumptious!

:
Jealous of the london broil.. I love when I find some good markdown meat!
I don't really like touching the chicken much either, but do it when I must.. I really like the crockpot cause it is very tender and doesn't get all dried out like it does in the oven for me.. Besides, it is just so easy to toss it in early in the day and forget about it!

And, your superbowl found sounds wonderful.. nice to have a DH that cooks like that Wink
We just do the usual superbowl snack kinda stuff.. chips, cheese dip, wings, etc..

Sipping some coffee and trying to get started with my day.. Going to work later this afternoon, which means right now I am not motivated to do *anything* I actually need to shop today cause Publix sale is ending and I need to get a few things that go off sale.. Hoping to get a break at work and run across the street to publix.. Also, just realized I wanted to get some of the TGI snacks that are on sale at target this week.. Guess, I shouldn't have been putting off the shopping all week laugh out loud

I have slept so good the last few days.. It is so nice not to toss and turn all night. I think it is a combination of making myself exercise, being busy around here, and wearing my toddler out during the day so she passes out at night.. Whatever the reason, I like it!

I'm thinking there has to be some decent meat markdowns the rest of this week. I'm sure most of the city has been holed up because of this storm so not to many people out shopping since Sunday/Monday.

Thanks for the Bday wishes all, but mine is not for 11 more days! My hubby does celebrate my "bday month" for me and has been doing sweet little things each day to show it. heart He is a good egg! Heart

I will also suggest you try the Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire Mysteries series by Charlaine Harris. I LOVED them and there are lots of books.

You might also like House of Night series by PC Cast. I thought it might be too juvenile for me, but I couldn't put the book down.

I'm just getting ready to start the first book in the Night Huntress series, Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost. Ariel, have you read that series yet?
I was also going to recommend the Southern Vamp series by CH, but wasn't sure how steamy she wanted her books! Wink The House of Night is a good series, as is the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. Both of those series are YA and don't get too steamy, but have the romance/love aspects and are still exciting enough to entertain.

I have not read that series, I will have to add it to my list! laugh out loud

I just got done with Shadowfever by Karen Marie Moning. It was AMAZING! A wonderful way to end the series! nod Then I started The Last Sacrifice by Rachelle Mead (the latest in the VA series) yesterday.

Quote from DreOran :
PLEASE read the Mercy Series by Patricia Briggs! The first book is Moon Called. It's about a strong female named Mercy who happens to be a skinwalker (shape-shifts to coyote). It's urban fantasy so she lives in a city near Seattle and has a normal life as a mechanic except for being friends with Fae, neighbor to a hunky Alpha werewolf, and friends with a vampire who drives a VW bus. Paranormal trouble always seems to find her and there's always a bit of mystery. I absolutely love this series and I try to tell everyone who's ever liked anything parnormal, fantasy or sci fi that they HAVE to read this. (Since I used to work at a bookstore that's quite a few people laugh out loud)
This is also a GREAT series! Another one that is more adult is the Georgina Kincaid series by Rachelle Mead. It follows a succubus and is quite entertaining as well as steamy in some parts!

She was talking gibberish most of yesterday but fell asleep/comatose in the late afternoon. She hasn't woken up since. Her breathing is very slow and even stops, then restarts - kind of like apnea. They are medicating her just in case there's any pain, but she gives no indication of being in pain at all or knowing what is going on. My MIL says, "her body is here and we are taking care of it, but Mom is not here. It's not her any longer."

Ank..we are here for you. hughug
I am sorry for your pain.

Depends on what you want.. you can add salsa and make it mexican.. You can then use it for tacos, quesadillas, or sometimes we just have the spicy chicken with cheese sprinkled on top.. You can add cream of chicken soup and have it that way.. Someone.. setsail or flug.. can't remember which, and am too lazy to go back and look Teehee mentioned adding teriyaki sauce and it being very yummy.. Just depends on what flavor you want..
You can also add bbq sauce. you can cook the pieces and leave them whole, or kinda shred them when they are tender and make sandwiches..

so, I see we are supposed to get a b2g1 secret coupon this weekend.. wonder how nice it is?

That B2G1 secret coupon was a blast last time! I ordered some b2g1 soyjoy, for old time's sake...actually, my sis is hooked on the blueberry ones.

I just got into the Pullups Potty Houseparty! woot I know this one was around before, were the party packages good?

Anyone else get annoyed when people who can't whistle won't stop whistling? I eventually shushed the man in front of me at the post office this morning.

Has anyone loaded up on Slim Fast stuff? I know the B2G1 is now expired but I got a bunch last week. The snack bars are awesome...the peanut butter crunch tastes just like a butterfinger. drool I have been good drinking the shakes for breakfast & lunch. The shakes aren't bad either if you mix them from powder. The ready made drinks taste metallic IMO...

anyways...off to shower and study. My goal is 60 multiple choice practice questions a day. That takes me about 90 minutes, gotta get that time down to 75 minutes, so I better get to it!
