Would someone be able to Barney-style this for me? I didn't get in on it the last time, but if its cheap/free diapers, I'd love to partake. laugh out loud

You won't get a new one but you can ask them to give back the original rc. Say you didn't get the additional 5...

My brother uses that stuff and my dh has asked about it....sort of pricey for us right now though.....

I *think* the gist of it is that it helps your body recover after intense workouts, particularly your muscles, and helps with building muscle, etc. The whey protein powder stuff that you mix shakes with (if it's isolate) is the purest form of whey protein I believe and unlike some other sources of protein there is little to no fat in it so you aren't consuming those unnecessary calories, KWIM? Tons and tons more info. than that I am sure on the subject but that is about what I know Smilie

Callie - I have no idea about the meds, but I ran accross a web article (from harvard it says [harvard.edu]) that states:
I saw your fb post on this. I sent the link to DH. He likes to toss meds if they are even 1 day expired. Drives me crazy.

Kids are at school today. Whee Went for a nice 2 mile run after dropping them off. It's my 4th 2-mile run this in 6 days. It feels great. Both of my brothers are training for the Vancouver marathon and got me motivated to work towards their goal. My ultimate goal would be to run a marathon by the end of the year, but I am not going to get ahead of myself. Going to try and get up to 5 miles by the end of the month.

2 Ts for me today! Wish me WW!
Good luck! Nice to not have to run through the snow. Whee

I'm next. It didn't come today, but I'm on the look out for it.

I found a bunch of the baby talk mags at the peds office last week. Also... Publix and WM have the parenting: the early years one, but I've only found 20% off codes in those. It seems the $10 codes were only sent to subscribers.

Afternoon peeps! Wave Started reading this morning, just got a chance to finish posting. I didn't get a single paper this last weekend Frown but then I am behind and just now getting to cutting the few inserts I got from the last three weekends. It has really been to long I have shopped!

Anyone with a rental property:

Did your house have to get inspected and approved by the City? Did you have to have a code compliance inspection?

We had to pay our property manager $610 for him to get a license through the city to rent the house. Then we had the code inspection. We just got the report today and they are claiming that another $750 in plumbing improvements need to be made, including eliminating a 1/2 Bath. I could cry. I have no way of knowing being so far away what they are doing in MY house. Does this sound normal, or do you have less restrictions if you are the one renting the property, as opposed to a mgmt. company doing it?
We have to have a business license, here it is $200. $610 sounds steep I would call the city and double check but it might be that high where you lived. We did not have to have an inspection so no idea about that. That sux about the half bath, doesn't make sense to me.

And somehow, in the next 2.5 days, I must assemble 50 Valentines cards for my kiddos; clean my house; pack for the family; make baked goods to bring to MI for all the family coming; and find one more dress.

With that said, I am off to bed, so I can get an early start tomorrow.

'Night, all!!!
That reminds me, I need to get 50 Valentines and assemble them as well. Good luck on finding the last dress you need. hug

Ok speaking of expirations....how far can medicine actually go past the date? I have probably a dozen Robitussin in the closet that I never used during the big Wags?? deal back in 09. I opened one the other day to take a swig when my throat was hurting and looked at the date...exp 10/09. Most expired in 2010.

So how far is too far??
I used some Robitussin from that deal last week, worked just fine.

The dreaded S word has crept back into our forecast. S N O W. The 4 letter dirty word this year.

My brother has always thought that the local meteorologist got a kickback from the grocers when this word was mentioned in the forecast.

Time will tell.
It snowed last night and is supposed to do the same a few more times in the next few days. Ugh! So ready for spring!

Holy shhmokes it's cold today. Currently at -9 with -25 to -35 wind chills. It's supposed to warm up later though... to -3.

I've got ham and beans in the oven. I suppose I will make corn bread too. Does that man know how lucky he is? I love corn bread... with maple syrup. Anybody know how to suck the carbs out of that so I can have some?
No reason at all to dry them if you are going to cook them. If you want to store them, then you need to thoroughly dry them before you bag them or they will stick together.
Ok you have it a lot colder than I do. Even though we got snow it is not that cold outside it's 28'. Wish I could help on the cornbread, you can send your to me drool That might help Wink My Aunt and grandma always dried the homemade noodles before they cooked them. Nice to know I do not have to, if I make some. I need to buy some flour.

Good luck getting the issue's with your house straightened out. I think you are doing the right thing having a rental management, I wish DH would let us get one. Renting is really a huge pain, or maybe we just have way more bad luck than good luck.
High Five you go girl! I really should start running or something. At least I do use my elliptical about 3 to 5 days a week so that is something. Are you running by the ocean? I love the ocean, I miss the ocean, I think living near the ocean would make running a lot easier to want to run everyday.

Nurse surprised me with doing a couple 3D shots. This lil guy is gonna have Papi's nose just like all our kids. :r oll:
Roll You are so lucky! Getting some bonus 3D ultrasound is a slick deal.

Just what I was going to say, also since it helps the muscle recover quicker you will have the 'burn' or soreness from working out for a shorter time. When I was working out and drinking the protien shakes afterwards I noticed the sorness would be gone by the evening the day after weightlifting/hard workout but if I didn't it would last about two days.

I was also taking a thermogeneic (sp) so help speed up weight loss a few hours before doing the weights and if I forgot I could really tell because where normally I could to 25 reps I would get to 20 and start struggeling and trying as hard as I could it was a real struggle to get to 25 and it was at that point I would realize, oh wow! I forgot to take the thermogenic today!

Thanks! Good to know. Might actually make some tomorrow... maybe... if I get around to it... Oh Good Grief! I've just talked myself out of doing it! I've been cheating for a long time now and using Mrs Ream's frozen noodles, but homemade is always better.

Oh My Gosh!!! It's really going to be cold tonight again. Brrrrrr! Can't wait for the robins to fly back!

I was out doing "errands" all day today! Frown Took me 5 hours to go get the glucose test, get Soph's shots for K, lunch with dh, go to Walmart, VS, B&BW, Cinnabon (treat for Soph getting her shots, she shared Big Grin), and Safeway. I was supposed to go to RA today as well, but I was too damn tired!

Now I have 2 meatloaves in the oven and I am relaxing with a lil internet and an episode of Intervention. I hope the meatloaf turns out ok. I haven't made it in years and I didn't use a recipe at all, just from memory! EEK!
