I almost have an easier time understanding the ones that end after 25+ years. I mean, I am not justifying any of them in anyway and every situation is so different...but I can see how a LOT of things could possibly change in 25+ yrs. that could lead to divorce, KWIM? Not to mention some folks have a very hard time leaving a bad situation that has been bad for a long time for one reason or another.

My parents were divorced after 25+ yrs. It wasn't until my brother and I ran away from home one day and told my mom we were NOT going back to that that she finally decided to leave and take us with her. Suffice it to say it was a bad situation. But it's not like it became that overnight. And I suppose that when you gradually get used to something day after day after day it becomes your new 'normal' and you don't realize what it's become.
Oh you poor thing... I'm so sorry! Like Dr. Phil says, "better to come from a broken home than live in a broken home." Truer words were never spoken and you are so right, it doesn't happen overnight and sometimes it happens so slowly it does become the norm.

I don't know of any great monthly Wags deals this month yet (last month had a few really good ones), but there is a threadwith them, check it out and see if there's stuff you need/want/have Qs for.

As far as I know, there isn't a current deal on the Tufs bags (Wags brand trash bags that are decent quality) other than some being found on clearance. I usually get these when I have RRs to burn.

The Schick and Proskin razor deals aren't that great IMO (i.e. not free/mm) so I haven't been doing them. But if you are, you can use the Schick RR to get another Schick razor and it will still generate another RR - which usually won't happen. The razor deals are in the weekly wiki, with the Qs listed.

The two semi-hidden deals that I've been doing are thetampax and vicks/Puffs.

12 and Safeway (although it looks a lot like a KM, too - it wasn't close enough to see dirt on the shelf so I'm sticking to Safeway) Roll

My oldest DD came in while I was looking at the pic and said "12 out of the 18 are Justin Beiber, how sad is that?" While she was counting she was like, 9-10-oh, there's his hair, 11, more hair, 12.....laugh out loud

Moms with twins...

in the early days, what things were most helpful to you? We have a family at church that recently had twins and DH asked me to put together some "bags of stuff" for them. Any suggestions?

Also, we have another couple DH wants me to put together a care package for - he (the guy) had a heart attack 2 weeks ago and had bi-pass surgery. Any ideas for them?

BBL - getting kicked off.

Did you guys know Ronzoni makes SmartTaste in egg noodle form?? That will be a new staple in our house.....made the most awesome tuna and noodle casserole with that, 98% FF cream of chicken soup, 2% Kraft singles, tuna, and peas drool Lower in WW points thx to the noodles woot It is my fave comfort food dish but I've been trying to lower the pts. for awhile now. Love the 2% singles; I think they taste just like regular ones!

hmmm, i've always made it w/ cream of mushroom and no cheese. i tried the low-sodium or fat free, can't remember, but then i had to add a lot of black pepper to boost the taste but it wasn't quite right so i went back to regular. wonder how cream of chicken compares in taste.... tuna noodle casserole is my quickie half hr one pot meal. i don't bake it either.

2% isn't much different from whole milk. i think whole milk is 3%. just don't use fat free. i used cabot's fat free cheddar one time in mac and cheese and i just remember never to do that again!

OOhh... never would have thought of changing pads. Thanks! What is the petroleum for?

And is there anything special I should consider for mom? I am sure she's short on sleep and probably could use a little pampering. I know she likes coffee - any good coffee deals?

Mavis is soooooooo stinkin' cute. She does the "bear crawl" - on her hands and feet w/bum in the air. It's so funny. She'll crawl a little bit, sit up and look for one of us to see us watching, then sit there and clap with a huge goofy grin on her face. She is also trying to pull up/stand up against the play-pen and also the table. heart

Yeah the low-sodium cream of chicken is gross IMO....tonight I completely forgot to put any extra seasoning at all in; I usually do a tad of salt and pepper....but didn't even notice until later when I remembered I forgot Wink My mom always made it with cream of chicken when we were kids because we didn't like mushrooms so that's how I've always made it. The peas (and of course the noodles) add a fiber boost. I can add a slice or two more cheese than normal with the 2% since it is lower cal. and then it comes out more creamy, yum! I do a layer of noodle/pea/tuna mixture then a layer of cheese then the remaining noodle stuff then cheese on top and stick it in the oven for 10 min. or so to melt everything. Can't bake it too long or it starts to get crispy and dry. I don't really care for crushed crackers or corn flakes or whatever on the top either.

i just made this crockpot baby back ribs recipe for dinner tonite and it came out pretty good-
http://bbq.about.com/od/ribrecipe...31003d.htm

just realized i forgot the brown sugar cuz when i printed it, the ads on the left side didn't print and the dry rub ingredients shifted over except the brown sugar. they tasted good w/o the brown sugar so i'm sure they would have been awesome w/ it!

i'm also really bad at starting the crockpot early so i had it on high for almost 5 hrs and the meat was falling off the bone. if you are wondering, a lot of liquid came out of the meat and it basically braised for half the time. i cut it into 2-3 rib sections and the part that was submerged was the most tender so when it was almost done i turned all the pieces so the other side cooked in the liquid. next time i will turn them around earlier so it cooks evenly.

No guess, but damn, I'm glad you're back. Whee

So I'm ordering some stuff with my $10 amazon codes and I noticed something in my account. If you don't use the full $10, it rolls over and banks in the account. I was ordering stuff for $9.99 and $9.98 and I kept noticing it trying to add a .02 and then a .04 credit. Anyways, I ordered something for $6 and sure enough the next time I had a $4.xx credit. Just an FYI for those of you trying to maximize your $10 codes.
