Taking the battery out does no good. It's hard wired so I'd have to shoot it to get it to stop. Where's the gun when you really need it? Oh, I remember, I never bought one. Oh well. I left yet another message for the managers, told them how much the locksmith charged (thank goodness it was the firm they told me to call) and told them that I wanted someone in to fix that stupid smoke detector tomorrow because I wasn't going to lose TWO nights of sleep listening to that noise. We'll see what happens.

I could not even explain the confusion, and the way the DJ's played with the listener's. I heard a lot of Funny S***, Just remebering it still hurts my sides.. You had Good Ol' Ralph going "Wheres the Country?" and You had Hardcore rocker Dave saying " Where's The Rock and Roll?" Thanks for bring back the memories,,,,.. (and I think Johnny Dare) got released... Even though the radio stations had to be on in it too. "Where's Johnny Dare???

Oh boy, I'm afraid tomorrow morning Jules is gonna wake up and find some Circus Cats in cages in her hallway that she ordered tonight or maybe a moving van.....

I am soooo sorry, didn't mean to heart any feelings. just had a bad night and took it out the wrong way. I am sooo sorry. I apologize to everyone i insulted.

But I'll take anything nice I can get. Today has been a NIGHTMARE. I woke up to find that one (or maybe both if I'm being paranoid) of my cats spilled a drink I left on the computer desk and it soaked the keyboard and the mouse. Totally destroyed them. So I hooked up an old keyboard and mouse, but the bottom row of letters and the space bar were dead.

Soooo.....after I left the senior center where I volunteer, I went to Office Depot and got a really cheap keyboard and mouse. Then I went home (two more buses) and couldn't get into my apartment. Some maintenance man had been in to check the smoke detectors and, despite the HUGE note taped to the inside of the doorknob, locked that as well as the deadbolt. The doorknob lock has been broken for like 5 years but I don't care because it's the usual "Got an old credit card we can open it with?" type of lock. But I couldn't get it opened so went upstairs and bothered a very nice old woman who thinks I'm crazy anyway. She let me use her phone to contact the managers. They gave me the number to a locksmith who took almost two hours to show up.

He couldn't pick the lock because it was SERIOUSLY broken, so he credit carded it open and had to replace the whole thing because it's old and he couldn't fix it. To make a long story short (too late, I hear you moaning), he charged me $249. If I hadn't gone to the ATM on Monday, I'd never had had that much cash on hand. The managers said they'd reimburse me for the cost. Can't wait to see how long THAT will take (shades of Camel awards).

But to top everything off, when the flake who locked the doorknob was here checking the smoke detectors, he messed up the one in my bedroom because it's now making that ear shattering beeping noise. Even with the bedroom door closed, it's offensive. I'll be wearing earplugs and sleeping in the living room tonight.

WHAT is going on with contests posted on facebook? Claritan had a giveaway scheduled for earlier today and it exploded. Six hours ago, they went through the "So sorry it's not working and we're trying to get it fixed...yada yada yada" routine and it's still not up and running. http://www.facebook.com/Clarins
