Just got a big kick out those whisperers who were using tiny fonts and grey fonts to post--silly little thing, but it tickled my funny bone! I don't remember what your location is, but OMG to be allergic to mosquitos - YIKES! Those buggers are all dependant on how wet the spring is and how much stagnant water there is in any given area. We jokingly call them our State Bird! As for your hubby swellin - ain't touchin that with a 10-foot pole!

Only 2 more hours and I won't have to look at that snap, lock, and NOOO GOOO. OK I'm dooomed to spead the fertilizer with the little whirlybird that I have. I'm just gona throw it it out by the handfulls, like I was feeding chickens. If it works, it works, if it doesn't so be it. I have over 80 lbs of whatever I was given 2 weeks ago. All I know is it smells like POOP.

Okay, this is a long one, but please bear with me.

Did anyone ever work in a grocery store as a cashier? I have a problem and don't know which option would be better for the kid who rang up my Ralphs purchases.

I had that Pemmican coupon (and I honestly don't remember how much it was good for, so if you still have it or remember the value of it, please let me know). At any rate, I went to Ralphs after "work" and asked where they sold the jerky. I was told that it was on aisle 12 and also around the various cash registers (I guess it's an impulse purchase for some people). There were none on aisle 12, but I found a large package near the end of the customer line, so put it into my cart. There was no price on it.
Well the store was packed and everyone in a rush, including the cashier. He looked at the coupon took off the price and I paid for the rest of the items. I didn't know the price of the jerky until I got home and looked at the register receipt -- it was almost $11.00. I'm certain that the coupon was worth nowhere near that price.

As it takes me two buses to get to Ralphs and another two to get home, I didn't immediately return to fix the mistake. But now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not certain I even should go back and tell them what happened.

1. Will the cashier get in trouble for giving me the wrong credit because management will notice his mistake?
2. Will he get in trouble if I go back and point out the error because no one would have noticed it otherwise?

I don't know how grocery stores work but I'm hoping someone here does and will let me know the best thing to do. Please note: I would have no problem ripping Ralphs off for the entire $11 because I've had enough stuff I've purchased not make it into my bag over the years. I just don't want to get the cashier in trouble.

I'm in Montana, I don't whisper, I say what I have to. I can't go to the lake in the month of July becuase of the mosquitoes. Terrible. You would think I got bit by a rat when one bites me. I have always wanted to go to Alaska, one of my dreams. Someday, maybe.
