One step closer with the house. Our broker played hardball and is making the seller fix everything that we asked for from the inspection and they finally agreed. We were not asking for anywhere near everything from the inspection and alot of the things are safety issues that I don't want to bring my family into especially a newborn into an unsafe home! I don't think we were being unreasonable at all and am very happy that they caved. Now the only thing left is fianancing and hopefully that is all good!!

My DH and your DH should join a bowling league - they have MUCH in common. Unfortunately for them their similarities are not in loving and supporting their wives. I think it's all about control. My DH had no control in his life growing up and their family is still very manipulative/controlling through strong opinions and ostracizing those who do not conform. I don't know how they break away from that cycle but I empathize with you b/c it sucks to be married to someone who is trying to live down their own demons and at the same time creating some for you

lol about the DH. It does suck but I am going to work on it. It will be difficult but we will do it. I know my marriage can be better than this.
Also, I have been cleaning out the house and trying to organize. At least then it isn't staring him in the face. We will see what happens. He is the field today so when he gets in the field all the time I will tackle a room that needs the closet cleaned out badly! I will NOT do it when he is around.
