Hello Everyone!
My Hosties box is on the truck to be delivered today! bounce Does anyone know what's inside it?
Also, did anyone order from that free Threadup site? I ordered a box for Dan, and when I got it, the stuff was so gross, I couldn't even donate it, I just threw it away. It listed a Fall jacket that I was really looking forward to, and it must have been 15 years old and faded and gross. I was going to let it go, since it was free to me, but then thought that there are people out there that are paying $15 for these boxes, so I left feedback. Now I'm worried about retaliation, since I realized after leaving the feedback that the person who sent the box has my name and address. I wish I hadn't left the feedback now. Frown
I got my hosties box yesterday. Very nice box! In addition to the coupons (which were very generous) There was a red nescafe mug, a tablecloth 2 small boxes of crayons that you use to color cardboard crowns and tiara's that were in the box too!! I wish I had my mom sign up too!

Also, I got a threadup box for Michael. The things were ok though. Nothing super special but they were in pretty good condition. I ordered 9mth size for the fall. I think the bigger the size you order the more worn out the stuff will be. I'm not sure it's something I would do again though.

There was a broken sump pump rider that we opted out of... I suppose our thinking at the time was that water damage would be covered. I'm not really sure what we were thinking. I think we went with coverage that we thought would be more than sufficient.
It's been a long time since I've worked with homeowners insurance but I believe it's pretty much still the same rules as when I was doing it. Normally no homeowners insurance policy covers flood damage. However, they do cover wind damage which is why a not so up and up insurance agent, and good friends that know about insurance will tell you to break a window or open a window so that it appears that the water in your basement was due to wind driven rain. You can add an endorsement as JD said for damage due to a broken sum pump though but if you want actual flood insurance, it would be thru the National flood insurance program and it's not cheap!

I'm kind of looking forward to having a small simple party with the things they provided. I can't wait to try the snackers and the buitoni shrimp and lobster ravioli!

When my son was buying his house, I was arrangeing the insurance. Since it was only two years after his head injury and he still got upset easily, I tried to make it as easy for him as possible. I bought additional coverage for water damage in the basement. About 4 years later, the storm sewers in front of his house became blocked. Since his house was the lowest, 10 inches of nasty storm drain water flooded his basement. The coverage was up to $5000. One call and they sent a restoration service to deal with the mess. I sat outside and made a list as they hauled it out to a dump truck. Jeff and I never once had to touch a thing.I still don't know why I bought it but I did. I also got all the insurance on utilities. Just recently, DIL called to thank me again for insuring the house against everything I could think of. They had a problem with the phone and the entire house was rewired for nothing. And of course, the infamous water bed heater fire. The entire house was repainted, carpet replaced and everything cleaned in the house. Even all clothes were sent to the cleaners. Those restoration companys are great. I told DIL she could drop some of the extra coverage and she said no way. I usually reject insurance on things but I see why it pays off. Just not having to do the work is worth it.

Maybe we will just plan a move to a desert land. No rain to worry about, no grass to cut, and half naked women.
