For what it's worth, I read Water for Elephants and I just freaking loved it. I'm not sure the movie will be super awesome, but for those who don't want to take the time to read it, I'm sure the movie is the next best thing.

I'm open to any idea! I want them for the bachelorette party i guess... so something cute! Smilie

whats going on at wags?? hug to you and mom.

I am getting gifts. I saw this guys on ebay that personalizes frames and jewelry boxes and pocket knives... which i thought was cute. so i emailed him to see if he would give me a discount. he said he would give me 10% off and combined shipping. just not sure i can justify spending like $200 on these gifts, when i could spend a fraction of it at T or Kohls just not personalized... what do you all think??? i am def getting the bridesmaids their jewelry too. well, my aunt is making it so i just have to buy the stones. thoughts???
I am agreeing with Snowie and Leah. You can never have too many frames.
I like Leah's idea about trying to get them engraved and I like the idea of you writing a special letter to each one and put THAT in the frame with Tiffany Blue ink...hug
That would be a cool special gift that I would love to receive if I was them...

Hello Everyone!
My Hosties box is on the truck to be delivered today! bounce Does anyone know what's inside it?
Also, did anyone order from that free Threadup site? I ordered a box for Dan, and when I got it, the stuff was so gross, I couldn't even donate it, I just threw it away. It listed a Fall jacket that I was really looking forward to, and it must have been 15 years old and faded and gross. I was going to let it go, since it was free to me, but then thought that there are people out there that are paying $15 for these boxes, so I left feedback. Now I'm worried about retaliation, since I realized after leaving the feedback that the person who sent the box has my name and address. I wish I hadn't left the feedback now. Frown
That's sad. I signed up but forgot all about it. I was going to order something for my friend's shower. EEK!

I would just make the books now, and wait until the next deal. I have done that many times. It is irritating that you have to wait, but its nice to have some stuff done for when the next deal comes along! nod

He says he is better today, but we shall see. The meds haven't effected his hearing yet, but we will keep an eye on it.

Yep only 8 days now! Whee

Yes I am sure I will miss this 'relaxing' time soon! I am just not very good at it.

I did it and I got a box that was good. I am sorry that you got one that was gross. My box was for Lily and it said it was 5 dresses and some onesies. Some of the 'dresses' look like they may be tops and not dresses. I guess I will have to see when she gets here how they fit Dontknow I was still very happy with it for being free. I am not sure that I would ever pay $15 for a box though. Doesn't seem worth it to me. Dontknow
I wouldn't be worried about retaliation, most ppl aren't that crazy! Also I think it was important that others know what kind of box was sent to you!
It's funny that I always say I will get books ready but I never do and then I bitch when I have to make them. Hate hate hate making books

Hope J is feeling better and you are getting ready for the big day...So exciting

Holy crap - I forgot you were taking classes as well as everything else going on in your life right now. Comfort

Your sweating to the oldies made me LOL Big Grin
Yeah, actually school hasn't been bad. The past 4 weeks I've been doing two classes and they are both pretty easy. I'm sure I won't be so lucky for the rest of the classes...........

On sweatin' - I've gotten on a health kick..........decided I should actually do some organized exercising rather than just assuming that my busy life is enough exercising. So I've been having dates with Richard a few times a week. I can't tell any difference in my health - thought maybe I wouldn't be as tired but not so much. My kids did it with me one day and they just laughed at Richard the whole time! I also decided I needed to cut back my caffeine intake EEK! I really am not on overload, but I do have one pop a day and I can tell I'm addicted to it because I get a migraine if I don't have it. I haven't gotten this accomplished yet, but I have cut back to probably 4 pops a week....baby steps I guess. Anyway, I'm not sure why I'm doing any of this to myself because I'm giving up my precious time to spend it with a guy who really needs a fashion make-over and I'm suffering through headaches and overall withdrawl for not getting my Dr Pepper. I don't feel any better, I think I'm just crabbier so I don't really know why I'm saying it is a health kick! It really should be called something like a make yourself suffer kick!

The basement is looking better. It appears that it was as high as 6 inches at one point. From what I gather, it appears that even if we had caught it early, it still would have been just as bad because we wouldn't be able to sump pump the water out because it would just come right back in, and we just had way too much stuff on the ground. We won't make that mistake again, but it is quite disheartening.
So sorry to hear about the basement. Then read later that the insurance might not pay for it. My insurance agent friend once told me the same thing as everyone else - insurance won't pay for it if it is an act of nature. However, if you accidentally left your hose on outside overnight and it caused the basement to get flooded the viola! an instant covered claim................ Hope you are able to get something covered, but if not you can take your frustrations out on the basement when you are cleaning.

Is the person a teen? That would be a totally different answer...if an adult, I would show concern, not tell the person that they "look good", but you are concerned for their health. Are they seeing a Dr or a nutritionist? A healthy weight loss should only be a few pounds a week. If they are starving their body, they will crash hard and gain it all back plus more.

A friend of mine had twins and was huge and everyone told her that. Then she went on a crazy diet and runs many miles everyday. She is sick but everyone always tells her how great she looks...she doesn't look great, she looks sick! Almost every post she does on facebook is about food...and usually unhealthy food or running...that isn't right. Focus on the health piece not the look piece.

Bummer!
No she isn't a teen she is 23, she has a hard time when someone tries to point something out, nicely. I am totally concerned, I am not 100% sure how much she is trying to lose but she really looks kind of unhealthy, she is focusing so much on the food and the calories and the exercise, this my fitness pal program alots 1200 pounds a day in calories and she is usually under her calorie goal, she is focusing on the sugar in everything. she has 2 little ones and she seems crankier with them and the last few times I have seen her she has headaches and is kind of slow moving. she could be tired but I don't know I am worried about her

Quote from tn_native :
Note: I say this as a morbidly obese person... I also think it depends on how much they have to lose. If they need to lose 100-250 lbs, I wouldn't worry about it. If they need to look 30-50 lbs, then maybe. No way if under 30 lbs. (ie, they don't need to be starving themselves). My two oldest nieces have lost a total of 100 lbs together (one 40 the other 60), but the 40 one is a stick...6' 1" and only 125 lbs, but continues to run every day and really watches what she eats (never eats with the family).
she has never been obese but i think she does have a bit of a body imiage issue, her mom and sis and others tell her she looks good,(since losing the weight) when in reality she looks a little drawn. she made a comment the other day about the sugars in food and there wasn't much she could eat that would keep in her goal, then she makes a comment about taking in to much salt and drinking lots of water to flush out the salt. Not exactly sure how much she wanted to lose but now that I think about it I think she said she wanted to lose like 40 or 50 pounds and she didn't need to lose that much.

Thank you both for the words of advice and for anyone else that commented and I missed I really appreciate your helping me

laugh out loud I don't mind making the books as long as I have time. It stresses me out when its last minute! Also things ALWAYS seem to go wrong when it's last minute! nod

He is finally better enough to go to work today, which will be nice. Its been hard dealing with him sick, the kids, and my crabby self. Embarrassment

I am not sure how far you are into the book, but it was a little weird at the beginning. I really ended up LOVING it and had a hard time putting it down after the weird beginning. I hope you enjoy it more soon!
I need to pick out my next few reads today. I have a lot of books available that I have downloaded and I just need to make a decision about which ones to start and when. I think it will be easier for me in the next few weeks if choices like that are already done before Lily gets here! laugh out loud

YAY for your health kick!!! woot I hope you start feeling better soon! I feel you on the soda intake! I have been doing 1 a day since I was preggo and it works to keep the HA's away. I hope I can stay at that level once I don't have a baby inside me to motivate me. laugh out loud
Sorry about the computers! They can be soo frustrating at times! Hope you enjoyed your drink! Wink

Well I am up super early again Sadwalk Sleeping is very difficult for me nowadays, but when is it not for a very preggo person. laugh out loud I guess I will have to try for a nap today too. I decided to stop going to water aerobics. I would only have 3 classes left before she comes, and I just don't feel like doing it anymore. Embarrassment Oh well. I did it for a while and it was good while it lasted.
I am trying to think of/do all the last minute things I need to do before Lily gets here. 1 week from today I will be holding her! Heart I am excited to say the least! I never did make the girls' 'big sister' teddy bears (I looked at my local stores, but didn't see the items to make them Frown), so I need to go do that today. I will just have to check local gift shops since it is too late to do it online. IDK how I let this slip my mind! laugh out loud Hopefully its not tooo expensive, but if it looks like it will be, maybe I will just take the girls to Build a Bear instead?! Dontknow We will see. Momma Junie being here is sooo nice! heart She is an amazing person and we are all so thankful for her!!! No news on my daddy yet. Frown They were supposed to do the additional testing yesterday, but someone messed up in scheduling, so he will have it done today and then go to the dr on Friday for the results. Frown A huge Thanks to all of you who are Pray and thinking of my family! I truly appreciate you all! hugheart

OOHH I got my "my publisher" mini book in. I have to say, I am not that impressed. It is small!!! I know the deminsions were listed, but I didn't think about how small they were! laugh out loud Nice size for a brag book in your purse though. Dontknow Also mine arrived with the cover being all scuffed (edges) which is very noticeable since its a picture on the cover. Another thing, some of the pictures came out VERY dark when they shouldn't have. I applied the same filters in PSE to almost all of the pictures, so the coloring differences in the pages confuses me! Oh well, it was free. I do have a *few* of the $20 credits with them that I will probably not be using, so if anyone is interested, just let me know and I will pass them along to you!

I agree with what Knott said about this. My friends DH obviously has an eating disorder but there isn't much she or anyone can do about it. She just makes sure she is around for all meals and tries to make stuff she knows he likes and tries to add calories where she can. He does NOT look good. He is a skeleton. He runs a lot also. IT is a hard thing to deal with but people should NOT be telling them they look good when they look sick.
