But you do have a point, if he is trying to allude to something peculiar about the food then he may describe it just a bit different and try to slip it by then later a big reveal points back to that allusion. If you skim, if you aren't entrenched, you skip it and never notice the subtle detail difference. Hmmm now I'm going to have a head on a swivel and read all the delicious descriptions carefully.
For the two things I'm thinking about, I didn't notice as I was reading it. It wasn't until I read about some theories on the Westeros Wiki and forums. Though one of them seems highly unlikely, another is most definitely
And yeah, when I saw GRRM, it clicked "Ohhhh, now I get it" with his food descriptions.

Certain people's chapters just made me dread it. Sometimes I would skip, read someone else's, then go back. Needed to motivate myself to get through some of them. I think I took a break for something like 1 to 3 months while reading Feast for Crows. Happened again with Dance With Dragons.

Oh, I liked Cersei's chapters. It shows how really crazy paranoid and power hungry she is.

The reviews on it are decent (even though it's not historically accurate) and it has a 7/10 star rating on IMDB.

Set against the backdrop of the Wars of the Roses [wikipedia.org], the series is the story of the women caught up in the long-drawn-out conflict for the throne of England. It starts in 1464—the nation has been at war for nine years fighting over who is the rightful King of England, as two sides of the same family, the House of York [wikipedia.org] and the House of Lancaster [wikipedia.org], are in violent conflict over the throne. The story focuses on three women in their quest for power, as they manipulate behind the scenes of history—Elizabeth Woodville [wikipedia.org], Margaret Beaufort [wikipedia.org] and Anne Neville [wikipedia.org].[7] [wikipedia.org]
Ignoring his threat, the classroom refused to quiet down. So the teacher started writing names on the board, along with how they died. And then the room quieted down.
Though those kinds of kids would have probably already read it.

The long awaited return tonight!
Just remember, in a lot of areas where they are walking from one locale to another (on the outside), they are actually on horse. Guess they don't have the budget for that many horses and horse handlers.
