I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.
Everyone is welcome!
I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.
This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

The rules said that popular vote only counted for 20% of the score, the rest was from judges. Last month's was supposed to be an action shot. The cat winner is just laying there. What exactly is the point of having an action contest if you're going to award a winner that shows about as much INaction as you can get?
Last week was the USPS food drive for the local food banks. I put out about 30 cans of soup and 15-20 Stove Top stuffing mix. Then headed off to take my wife to work.
Returned to find the food gone...only at MY mailbox. Still at the others. No mail yet.
Left to pick up my wife, and the mail was there.
Some $$*(&)$#)(*$% bastard stole food set out for the food bank.
I'll never put any out again. It goes straight to people who I know need it, or straight to the post office.

I,too, have friends on both forums and have yet to say anything distasteful on the forum. It saddens me to read what all has happened while I was away.
I was reading through posts about all the tornadoes and freaky weather and then I got to talonts bit about the nearly comatose cat. Figured a little humor wouldn't hurt.
I grew up on the East coast with hurricanes. I now live on the West coast with earthquakes. The best thing about earthquakes is, they're short. Five, ten seconds, and they're over. The damage may be extensive, but we're not hiding in bathtubs or in the basement while the sky turns green and the roof gets sucked off. And we don't have seasons of earthquakes where we keep waiting for the sirens to go off so we can find shelter. And we've got no snow, no 85% humidity, no giant mosquitoes -- in short, I LOVE living in Los Angeles. Yes, we lock our doors, but no, I've never been robbed or mugged. I lead a nice life, and if I find the opportunity to post a funny cat picture -- I go for it.
