RETIRED: Marlboro Outwit the West Funny Farm

I love the hidden object games. i had to slow down because i was spending 20-30 dollars a month on bigfishgames.

Just catching up on posts and this is the second reference to "boring polish food" conversations as well as weather conversations.

First of all, we are a group of people from all walks of life, from all over the US (I assume limited to US anyway), different races, multiple gender, variety of ages, brought together because of OWTW, increasing membership often and welcoming new members. This blog was put together to discuss ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. Topics can't interest everyone all the time. Not possible. Personally, I am an 80/20 person. If you like 80% of something, keep it as you will very seldom get 100% of anything.

That said, weather in particular---has been CRAZY this year. Some places it feast or famine, alot of places it is destructive. The storms that have taken hundreds of lives and caused great destruction. That affect us all, whether you knew someone or not directly affected--it hurts your state, it hurts our economy, it hurts our moral. It is nice to have a place to come unload, even if sad, it is nice to hear you aren't alone going though things. Personally, I am very lucky, I have three sets of family members within near misses of the Tuscaloosa mess and I have family in KY that their town is flooded completely. No way to get food in or out. Can you imagine? I don't believe I talked about weather over the last couple of days but for those of you that did, please feel free. These are times outside the norm and everyone needs to feel like they have a support system. Heck, I have a garden and no rain, which pisses me off, just in general, I guess at mother nature. I feed a few elderly couples, they rely on me to eat and I rely on my garden as I am unemployed and it helps out. Just a place to vent sometimes.

As far as the polish food, well I suppose I carried most of that conversation though didn't start it nor did I have it by myself. The point was not to educate or bore you with polish heritage but it was something Ronnie-Tree picked up on and interacted with as well as the Cleopatra conversation. For alot of people, I think the point of the night was to keep her focused on something else except the passing of her father and all that is to come over the next week before it will settle down as well as show her some support. I know, everyone, including me, needs to express our condolences and that is sad so we all worked at keeping her focused on something else. At any time, anyone could have interjected any other topic for us to pick up on at any time.

This used to be a great place to hang out especially in the evening and hell, maybe we need to give Marlboro a call and see if they can start another contest which requires us to focus our energy on something to rebuild the team. I am pretty thick skinned about things so you aren't offending me personally but your comment really misses the mark on what I think this blog was put together for. So you were bored, fine, you're entitled, can't please everyone all the time but do something to make it more entertaining for you but there is no reason to interject the negativity. Hasn't there been enough of that lately? NO, not bringing it up, don't really know what happened, don't really care as not my business, but can't this be a nice place to hang? I know I will get lots of flack for this post and have at it, never been one to care what people think about me anyway. I am not trying to offend anyone but bring some understanding to motives sometimes behind the scenes. Sometimes, there is a positive agenda.

And jemeredith, I am sorry, I don't know you, I am sure you are a wonderful person, I am just responding to your post because of the polish thing but yours isn't the only one, just the most convenient.

I just signed on - off most of the day. I missed the Polish thing. I am Polish and I wish I had seen it. I like Polish food and only have it around the holidays, but not so much any more as most of my family is deceased. Sometimes I just get lost in this site and forget everything that is happening around me and sometimes I really wonder and even worry about all the wonderful people on this site that I will probably never have the pleasure of meeting, but yet I feel a kind of bonding and friendship and look forward to reading and interreacting. We will probably have another game with Marlboro in the near future, but that will come. Until then, this is a nice place.

My point was that we have people coming in here starting crap for the sake of starting crap!! My last name is Hamerski, so most of the polish food talk last night was crap. Polish wannabees! Now start talking Czernina or Kiszka and we can talk! I am sorry if I offended you but last night was very rude!! Especially towards Jules! She has never done anything but help and entertain people, she doesn't deserve that!

Oh, and for the polish wannabees Czernina is blood soup, and Kiszka is blood sausage! I have the recipes from my grandma if you want them!

Hi, just got on. Still trying to get my summer/winter clothes changed over. Bedroom is a disaster. Very very hot here last 2 days. I am around the corner from a beautiful lake but it will not be open for a few weeks. Summer people come down here in droves so the best thing to do on weekends here is boating. So, getting the boat ready. Not good to try to get out on the main road as they are all going to the ocean just over the bridge nearby. Hopefully a barbq and next weekend I have to go upstate NY. Believe it or not, I got really behind in getting all the outside furniture put out, uncovering airconditioners, all the spring changeover from winter because I really spend hours on this computer. Thanks for asking and I will try to read a bit.

Its not the boring and irrelevant parts thats the problem. We have all been boring and irrelevant at some point. Its the other stuff going on, It was like space was being filled just to fill it and exclude conversations that were taking place. We ALL read the posts from MLx's invite only thread and we ALL got to see what was written and what some peoples true feelings are. But ever since that site was shut down its like there has been a conscious effort to make people here feel uncomfortable. Things that should be said by pm are being said not to show support but to hurt others and its really sad

I too have posted things and received no response. I don't over care I guess and blame it on my humor being dry, not sure everyone gets it but whatever. You said above the biggest problem is because people don't know the truth, kind of...I think the biggest problem is, at least for those not involved, we don't want to know. We weren't part of it, we don't really know what happened, we don't really need to know and we don't want to deal with the after effects of it. That is all I am trying to say. I am sure there are hundreds on this site and what, maybe 10 or 15 were part of "it". The rest of us just get the negative stuff. I am sure MLX feelings were hurt, she probably shouldn't have said those things, who knows but the negativity is cutting both ways and the rest of us are victims.

Okay good this phone headset was free cause my garbage can got it LOL first it wouldn't work couldn't hear anything then when I went to take if of it snapped in half. Oh Well get what you pay for in this case nothing lol.

Oh sweetie I am so sorry!! I wish they would just restart their private forum, have all the mods there that she brought here, and leave us to have the fun we have when she is not around! If not, maybe we can start our own! And guess what? Jules WILL be invited!! In fact it is mandatory she joins!!

I don't think I ever responded to you but only because I just click on someone - anyone - who I recognize and who probably thinks I am a pain at times, but they answer me. Usually off topic, but I always try to say something as everyone is so nice.
