Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

Yeah, I forgot to mention that too - NOT spaying/neutering a cat as early as feasible is essentially being cruel to them and all of their descendants. You avoid a lot of health problems by fixing cats (and dogs), and if you don't do it, and they get out, you've just dropped hundreds of descendants into the wild.

There are millions of "domestic" cats running free because people don't fix them. If you can't afford it, check with your county, most give coupons to get it done cheaply. If you can't afford it at that point, you can't afford an animal, as they'll cost you a LOT more than that in food, etc (we just blew our household budget for the month out of the water this and next week just by picking up 224lbs of litter, and that was $24 + tax after we buy the next half next week. Normal price, $120 for that size bottle, which would be 6 months of food for the 2 of us).

off topic do you have an opinion on stuff like this

Litter can be expensive. Sister wont let the dogs eat the poopers or we could kill 2 birds with one stone!!!
We got an electric cat litter. $100 but worth it. All we have to do is empty the tray when it gets full. The cats are fascinated by it and run to watch it scoop up the litter every time it goes off!!!
We went through 2 of those, I had to fix both of them multiple times. Too expensive, and still had to empty the tray daily (I considered cutting the bottom out of the tray, putting a bag on it, and creating a box with a sloped bottom to hold a week's worth, but after the mechanisms broke twice to the point I couldn't fix them, I gave up that idea).

You are supposed to have N+1 litter boxes (2 cats, 3 boxes, 6 cats, 7 boxes). We've always been a bit lucky, 2 boxes worked for 4, 3 boxes do OK for the 6 we have now. But our "boxes" are HUGE. All 3 are Sterilite containers with a hole Dremeled in the side. The smallest is 32"Lx20"Wx18"H, the other 2 are even longer. I kept up-sizing them, 2 of them are currently as long as will possibly fit in their areas, the 3rd is the longest they make in the width it will fit in. So if I need to go bigger in the future, I'll have to figure out where in the HECK to put another one, any room we'd put up with them already has one.

I haven't tried the kits, but they should work fine, as long as you use a low speed drill.

I have "sanded" out several eBay taillights with scratches by hand. It's a lot of work, and you will hurt afterwards, but all you do is get some washcloths, white vinegar, and cream of tartar. Mix the vinegar/tartar to a thick slurry, put it on the towel, and rub the headlight HARD in very small/fast circles (you're trying to build up a tiny bit of heat, but not too much). Add more slurry, and sometimes vinegar as the old dries out. Rinse and wipe dry every once in a while to check progress. You can also try baking soda/water with a drop of dish soap if you can't find cream of tartar cheaply enough (I bought a pound of it online years ago, as the vinegar/tartar mix is a good ceramic stove top cleaner), but if you do, rub lightly at first and rinse/dry after a few swipes to see if it hazes, as baking soda brands tend to vary on their particle size/abrasiveness.

It's less abrasive than rubbing or polishing compound, and safe for the environment. You can also get a drill mounted buffing/waxing pad and take the pain out of your hands/arms, but an afternoon of rubbing and a day of muscle pain is worth it. I have worn down some pretty serious scrapes on taillights this way. Deep ones can't be fully removed, but can be smoothed to the point they're not so visible. Simple haze is pretty easy to polish down this way (in fact, I need to do both of our cars' headlights soon, they're starting to haze finally).

That's the advantage of using Sterilite/Rubbermaid containers - you can get them tall, and cut the access hole high enough up to fill them deep. We generally run 4" or so of litter.

I used to use Rubbermaid containers, but the bottoms aren't smooth, nor are the corners, so scooping them was a pita. Sterilites, while cheaper plastic, have flatter bottoms and smoothly rounded corners, easier to clean. And cheap enough ($10-15) that they can be replaced every 2-3 years without breaking the bank.

Open Chrome or IE on the desktop, make sure they can access pages. (If you haven't installed Chrome yet, do it, it's handy to have for tests like this, and is an easy install - it will also import all your FF bookmarks during install if you want).

Shut down FF and restart it. If the windows are still blank, hold down the shift key and click the Reload button, a Shift-Reload makes FF re-request ALL content from the servers, and usually works when a simple Reload doesn't.

Otherwise, you could always remove FF and reinstall it, it keeps the personal data around unless you specifically tell it to delete it when uninstalling.

Ive found the best cleaning stuff is either shaving cream (foam) or cascade!! Cant use harsh chemicals with the cats and It hurts my lungs too so the milder the better

Don't know what happened. but one thing for sure, I cannot get the game to open on that new coffee game on either computer. The K-cups. I get the opening, the woman with the crown talking and then keeps saying game loading. Never does. Both computers cannot be at fault. Has anyone of us won anything on the Mt. Dew yet?
