Morning!

I think that some stories of S&G and SCing are exaggerated. I had a cashier tell me the other day that a lady came through with 4 carts full of merch for $2000 and paid $15. She told me that most of her Qs were BOGOs but I still think that it wasn't $2000 BC. I doubt someone actually got $1000 worth of jeans in 1 trip...but jmo.

We are going to do a sale this weekend and I am totally stocked up on easter candy. I am sure it will all be gone w/in 30 minutes...always a huge seller. I used to sell the big $8.99 bags of hersheys & mars for $5.50 steady. OMG I thought we wouldn't be allowed to do a sale in the neighborhood where we are staying since the neighbors are super cranky and leave you notes on the door if you happen to park a little bit on the grass and didn't really seem like the type that want outsiders in the community...Anyways, there were several GS on the street this weekend, so I got approval woot Love it b/c I can set everything up the day before and then just open the garage. In Michigan we didn't have a garage, so it was always a mad dash to get set up before the early birds arrived.

Does anyone have 1 $10 code to spare? Please I need a last minute shower gift. I plan on looking for codes today but can't guarantee I will be able to replace it but will send a nice envie of Qs in return.

L2Bam, I so agree.

At work I had the snack fund I was buying for, well until the big boss moved my job (and the snack fund guys moved to work with my office mate). I also had bought enough candy for Halloween for 400 T or T'ers, as I've had that many at least twice since moving here and we ended up with less than 100. SIL won't let me bring it to her house, as she's most likely the one to eat them.

What I need to do is just fill up a flat rate box and ship it somewhere. . . anywhere but having it laying around here.

Oh my, major drama from dd last night around here....she climbed out of her bed in the dark, proceeded to put on her big clunky Dora light-up boots and tried to climb back into bed but majorly skinned her leg somehow on the side of the bed --- from what we can gather. She just would NOT stop crying and screaming that her leg hurt, which of course worried me. We ended up getting her calmed down eventually and getting her to bed and she seems like it's fine this morning. I had intended to get to bed early. That didn't happen laugh out loud Felt bad for the poor kid but hopefully she's learned that when we tell her to stay in her bed we mean it!

Ugh, watching the news and the images from Japan are just heartbreaking Frown

My DD just passed out on the couch already.. She literally fell asleep half hanging off. Her arm and head were falling off the couch. She was watching Dora one minute and asleep the next. I am thinking about taking a nap myselfWink


On the cereal talk.. I am actually down to my last 5 or 6 boxes.. haven't bought any in forever cause I had 50+boxes at one time to use up.. I am still digging boxes of quaker granola bars out of the closet from the quaker 3.00 coupon days and from the sales at the beginning of the school year. Some of my boxes expired in december, but we are still eating themStick Out Tongue I also found 2 of those huge MP fruit snack boxes from that target juicy juice catalina deal.. Ahh, the memories..

Speaking of memories.. I was cleaning somethings last night, and even with all the changes the last few years, I still find so many things target has given me.. I folded up a huge stack of nice fluffy towels last night thanks to the bath coupon, and my toddler had an entire summer wardrobe of circo clothes thanks to the clothing coupon.. Hoping we get another this year heart And of course, the bags and nerf, playdough, LPS, barbies, leap frog, etc that I move out of the way each time I did through the gift closet stashBig Grin

I tell ya, it is no wonder I gained 30 pounds after I started slick dealing.. The candy deals seem to be around every corner. I have taken huge bags of candy to the candy dish at work for the last 3 weeks in a row. I keep thinking it must be almost gone, but then I find more.
I cleaned out the closet last night, and I found 4 of the huge bags of mixed chocolates that target had on a GC deal around Halloween.. For Christmas stockings, I didn't have to buy anything.. I just used Halloween candy.. I told DH, I have tons of candy to donate to the egg hunt at church for Easter.. and our Easter baskets should be well stocked tooBig Grin
RA had the king size bars free last week after sale and coupon, but I just could not get motivated to go get them, even though I have tons of coupons! Whenever I get those, I bring them to the Sparks/Awana leader at church - she uses them in her treasure chest and always loves to get them. So that's an idea if you guys have AWANA at your church.

OK, off to the grocery store and then to pick up my son. Seems like right now, there are more deals than time, and its driving me crazy! I get so bogged down with the sheer volume of stuff, and can't focus on one thing long enough to make a plan. laugh out loud But at least for this morning, I know I'm getting frozen fruit from Giant and cheapo tuna from somewhere, hopefully Safeway. And I'll drop in at RA and see if they have any of the freebies left.

Okay.. I may get flogged for this.. but, what is up with the deal thread? I agree jujuli was the best! She was awesome at providing coupons for everyone and it sucks that she was taken advantage of.. I appreciate all of her help.. But, do we need 15 pages of comments about it.. Can't people just leave her rep comments or something? And so many of these people are newbies that I have never even seen post before Head Bang

I am all about thanking someone and acknowledging their hard work.. But, there has hardly been an actual "deal" posted in the deals thread lately.. Except gators helpful info this morning Wink

I agree. I posted over there and now I wish I hadn't. Not to minimize her help either, but I thought maybe my little OT would get mixed in with deals and not mixed in with more OT. My bad. I do heart her though. Plus, as you know, Im homeschooling my teenager so my head is wonky these days. laugh out loud A toddler and a teenager in the same house all day long is drama central. It's much better this week than last week though, thank goodness.
