Thanks for the offer. Yes. I have some qs. They are $1 off 2 13 ounce jars. I keep thinking about trying ONE jar...but then my coupon is for TWO jars.... so then I think I should get two jars and save $1... but then I think "but what if I don't like it?" LOL

I know... the decision to buy Nutella should not be this hard...

like so:

following recipe makes 1 cup:

in a pot warm 1 1/4 milk. if you dip a finger in it, the milk should feel like a warm bath. not tepid. not hot. but like ahhhh, how nice.

while the milk is warming, in a heavy sauce pan over medium heat (or in a thickish stainless steel pan over low heat) melt 2 tbsp unsalted butter.
once butter has melted, add in 2 tbsp flour. mix well, and let it cook till it is gently bubbling and fragrant but do not let it brown. this is called a roux and is the base that will thicken the sauce.
gently pour a little of the warm milk, mix till it becomes a white paste, then add the rest of the milk
whisk the sauce to break up and dissolve all the roux
then on medium heat let the sauce simmer and thicken about 6-8 minutes, stirring periodically to keep a skin from forming

once the sauce is thickened to your liking, if you want a cheese sauce, just add in grated cheese, and mix till it melts. add salt and pepper to taste.
serve over the pasta/chicken/veggies. i recommend leaving the grated/shredded cheese of choice out on the counter before you start cooking pasta or sauce or veggies or chicken, so it warms up. that way it'll melt better when mixed in with the sauce.

done. is so super easy. we pour it onto cooked macaroni, sprinkle some more grated cheese on it and stick it in the oven under the broiler for a few minutes: home made, delicious mac and cheese.
put it on pasta with chicken and broccoli: alfredo!
use it for casseroles, augratins and on and on and on. i made a cabbage and spicy sausage augratin the other day with this sauce. it was soooo good.
and best of all, the sauce is so easy to make. i usually have it on one burner while the rest of the dinner things are cooking on other burners. dinner ready in less than half an hour. if you're using it in a casserole/augratin, you don't need the cheese to melt when mixing, cause it will do so in the heat of the oven. just make sure that when you cook the casserole in the oven that it doesn't boil for long cos then the milk proteins will get overcooked and become granular. but 15-20 min on 375 - no issue. just yummy cheesy sauce.

if i'm making a 9 x 12 pyrex dish of augratin/casserole, where the solids in the dish take up about 1/2 - 2/3rds of the dish, I make 4 cups of sauce.

if you have extra white sauce (without any cheese in it), just mix it with some veggies - like potatos, peas, carrots and green/red peppers, and chill it in the fridge. makes a delicious cold side salad the next day.

oh no.....that's the worst!! :( popsicles are so good when my kids are sick. the push up kind in the plastic so as they melt, they aren't dripping everywhere. Sick kids are slow popsicle eaters!
when my kids are sick like that, I'll give them whatever they want: Fresca, tea, etc. Whatever they can keep down. doesn't matter :hug:

DD has thrown up twice since this morning

A little bit of pedialyte. Just give an oz or 2 at a time. when my boys had rotavirus (not saying your DD does) I was so worried about dehydration and they told me they only need a little bit of fluid. A popsicle might work too for your DD. Sorry to hear that

This swept through our house last week. It was 12 hours of vomit and then 24 hours of exhaustion. So far everyone except Cole has had it and my sister and nephew had it over the weekend.

For starters, I am NOT J'aime the Extreme Coupon Diva. However, I am an interested party that has been brought in by her to monitor PR/media/content across the web/social networks in order to capture "conversations" on specific subjects that have come to light recently. I do not practice couponing myself but I have done my due diligence; so I do understand the methods and legalities.

Whereas I won't address the claims and conversations in this forum, I do want to let the posters know I am monitoring this thread. I think it is only fair to let you all know this so we can establish a time stamp. I am not here to try and terminate/debate the conversation but I do think the subject is going down a very negative road.

On a final note, I think you can imagine the vetting process that goes into casting for a funded program. If J'aime did not meet the requirements she certainly would not be on the show. I can assure everyone she continues to teach workshops and "extreme coupon" at Target and other great stores on a regular basis. Any past concerns have been addressed. J'aime has also been in contact with Target corporate and manufacturers directly to make sure she is practicing methods in accordance to their rules/guidelines as they currently exist. Hope this information is helpful.
