Oh my goodness. My kids LOVE all that free conference crap. DH usually makes it a game to see how much awesome free stuff he can collect. Then I slowly sneak it out and throw it all away. Evil

Had our GS today! We met my goal, so I am happy, but boy am I tired. I set up the GS (didn't life any boxes, but put all the product out) and then ended up going to a bunch of GS's myself. There were a ton listing strollers, so I wanted to check them out since we are still looking. Unfortunately, by the time I got there, all the strollers had been sold. Frown Oh well, I will keep looking. Anyways, then I went back to my sale (DH and my bro had been manning it) and worked there until 2. I was having contractions by the end, so I came home and put my feet up for a bit. Then after we got all the stuff back on the back porch, I cleaned up the rest of the back porch (since there was new room made from less stuff being stored out there. It looks so much nicer now! heart Now I need to put a few more things away in my newly vacated bins and then have one of the guys put it out in our storage bin in the back yard! Feels good to get so much accomplished!

I almost couldn't believe it when she puked AGAIN. I almost started crying. At least DH could bath her and put the kids down while I was taking the seat apart. I'm having a cupcake and some wine, so all is right with the world now.

So DH downloaded this home planning software and it basically lets you make a floor plan custom with whatever features, sizes, etc you want. So he took the floor plan that I found and like and is manually going through and recreating it with all the changes I want to make. It's pretty damn cool. We are meeting with 2 other builders this week and I'm excited to be able to hand them over exactly what we want.
Sorry Kiley isn't feeling well again!!! hug Hope she is better soon! Hope the wine and cupcake help you!!!

That program sounds AWESOME!!! worship So cool to be building your house exactly the way you want it!!!

All the front loader sanitizer talk made me curious so I went looking. It looks like the "sanitize" setting is ~ 153 - 157 degrees. (LG [homedepot.com], Frigidaire [frigidaire.com]) My water heater is set higher than that.
iirc, the reasoning behind the on-board heater is that the new washers use so little water, about 10 gallons total per wash i think but i did not fact check!!!, that when you do a hot water wash, it uses the standing water in the pipes for the wash cycle and it may no longer be hot. it cannot run the water until hot water comes out and use that for the wash cycle. also, depending on how far away the washing machine is from the hot water heater, by the time it gets there, it may have cooled significantly. for instance the boiler is in the basement and your washer is on the second floor.

Quick post, all is well, Trevor is snoozing in my arms, made my brother take SIL out on a date. Transfer was yesterday, next few days will see an upset tummy, mouth sores, hair loss, then will slowly get better. This hospital has a wing just for none marrow transplants.
happy you can spend time w/ your nephew and hoping all will go well and he won't have bad symptoms.

The ones that come with the fake credit cards are his favorite. He's such a hoarder.

I thought about that, but I don't think that's it. I think last week she was sick because we all ended up getting it. Tonight I think she just ate too much.

Wave

Yay for Trevor... glad to be getting your reports Lisa.

Frown for the sick kids... Comfort hug

I thought of an event for the mommy olympics... how about nursing a baby while changing a diaper. Yeah... try doing that one in record time without losing suction. Big Grin

Mavis...

I always thought my toddler would be the one that would be my accident prone/medical challenge... Mavis still has that nasty fever and pretty much won't let me put her down unless she's fairly konked - which doesn't last long... (not that i mind so much) But she managed to get her cast completely off her leg today. Spent a few hours in the ER so they could splint her leg so I can take her in on monday to be re-cast (only with a longer cast...)

I tell you... this girl...

DH is sick - sinus infection. Spent a good 1 1/2 in the clinic with him today also.

Toddler needs some mommy time and has been driving me wacky.

And yes, that's 3 doctor visits today if you are counting - 1 for DH's sinus infection, 1 for the pediatrician to check out Mavis' fever this morning, and 1 for the ER visit to get the splint because lil' miss Harriet Houdini couldn't take her cast off BEFORE the ortho clinic closed or even before her ped appt!

Whee

And still... I know it really ain't all that bad. I am so highly blessed.

So... I think I will try to go to bed.

Doh! so forgetful lately!

saw movie preview of Rio in 3D at 10am today and we drove an hr to get there. bff thought i was crazy b/c of the cost of gas and time but ended up worth it. dh snagged at least 4- $10 vouchers to play at dave and busters.

they had a movie short w/ that squirrel w/ the acorn from ice age b4 the movie started. very funny!

movie was cute and colorful. don't know that they should have bothered w/ the 3D. it wasn't like wow! it's in 3D. not a lot of stuff really popping out of the screen. moved at a good pace. wasn't looking at my watch to see what time it was. predictable story line. dh said all the cartoons lately have the same storyline, main character gets separated from his owner and has to find his way back. toy story 3 was essentially same theme. lots of famous people did the voiceovers. anne hathaway was the heroine but her voice wasn't that recognizable.

i would recommend taking the kiddies to see it. may be a little long for the 3yr olds.

was in miami last wk and it was beautiful, mid eighties, sunny, blue skies, beautiful warm water. but i cannot believe people just left all their garbage all over the beachOMG! cups, bottles, cans everywhere!!! looked horrible!!! Mad it's not like there weren't any garbage cans. people are just so lazy and slovenly!!!

also went to islands of adventure and they really did a good job w/ the wizarding world of harry potter. but it was soooooo crowded. we tried to go there first just like everybody else and they were giving out timed tickets to get in later. lines everywhere, even the gift shops. didn't go in to ollivanders, the wand shop, b/c even when we went back again after dark there was still a long line. thought it was just another gift shop but maybe i missed something good Dontknow?

Ank, I thought of that for the mommy olympics yesterday when I was nursing Noah and JJ decided to flip his wooden rocking horse with its head down so he could climb the slats on the bottom like a ladder...then he fell...on his hed on the wood floor. Jumped up with the baby still latched and picked up JJ with 1 arm. Noah just kept on eating and JJ was not phased as he then figured out a way to clim into the pack n play. Little stinker is definitely a climber!

Ank, hope mavis is feeling better tonight. Poor little one. Frown She just can't seem to catch a break. (no pun intended) Hugs momma!

So long story short.. tanner was admitted to the hospital friday night (he's 7) because of his issues at home. (aggression, violence, anger, impulsiveness..etc) I won't go into all the details because 1. we aren't in a private board and 2. there are too many twatwaffle lurkers that can't help but enjoy others' drama.

It was the hardest thing I've had to do in a very long time. Leaving him there was horrible. I cried all the way home. I've cried many times since then and now I sleep with his pillow. It doesn't really bring much comfort but in my mind it makes him feel closer to home. They started him on some mood stabilizing medicine to help and so far so good. Obviously we won't see the full effects for a couple of weeks, and especially won't see them until he is back home, but he seems to be responding well. He also has an upper respiratory infection so they put him on amox today. The nurse said it made him sleepy so he went to bed early. (and this is the child that never sleeps lol)

We got to see him today and, once again, it was very difficult to leave him. I'm trying to keep myself busy by cleaning my filthy house and shopping but it's hard. I think of him constantly and wonder if we did the right thing. In my heart, I know we did. I just want my baby boy back home with me. However, I want him to be more stable when he comes home.

Anyhow. Nothing against anyone in here but I debated on even posting about this in here. I am just very emotional about the entire situation and was afraid of what people might think. (not you all in general, but the other ppl that lurk here)

They said he should be home in 5-7 days. That day will take forever to get here.
