As for the lurkers, most of the need to hide. It's not a choice. Not everyone has been taught how to function in society on a normal level, hence the need to hide. Some of them don't know how to spell, so they can't post. Other's yes, they do need to come here and read and live through us. Those are the ones I feel especially bad for. Imagine the feeling of not being able to post.

Mavis...

I always thought my toddler would be the one that would be my accident prone/medical challenge... Mavis still has that nasty fever and pretty much won't let me put her down unless she's fairly konked - which doesn't last long... (not that i mind so much) But she managed to get her cast completely off her leg today. Spent a few hours in the ER so they could splint her leg so I can take her in on monday to be re-cast (only with a longer cast...)

I tell you... this girl...

DH is sick - sinus infection. Spent a good 1 1/2 in the clinic with him today also.

Toddler needs some mommy time and has been driving me wacky.

And yes, that's 3 doctor visits today if you are counting - 1 for DH's sinus infection, 1 for the pediatrician to check out Mavis' fever this morning, and 1 for the ER visit to get the splint because lil' miss Harriet Houdini couldn't take her cast off BEFORE the ortho clinic closed or even before her ped appt!

And still... I know it really ain't all that bad. I am so highly blessed.

So... I think I will try to go to bed.
I have to tell you - it will be a battle to keep that cast on. nod From personal experience ... my Lillian had a club foot when she was born, and part of the treatment was a new cast every week. Wanna know how many *extra* mid-week trips we had to make because she wiggled out of the cast? And it was not due to shoddy workmanship - her ped ortho was/is one of the BEST in the area. The lovely thing is they never charged us to remake the cast. They just started laughing when they saw me push my stroller in. Oh yeah - and she HATED being constrained in anything (car seat. stroller, etc.) until she was 3 mos old, and would scream the entire time. Made for lovely 30-mins drives there and back. And her name around the office was Houdini Baby. The doc never did call her by her given name. laugh out loud

So yeah, just kind of mentally prepare yourself to make a couple more trips before its time for the cast to finally come off. hug

Home from church this morning because I'm still not feeling super well and Jaden is complaining of an earache. Well, the earache not so much this morning, more last night, but he is still very congested, so figured it best to keep him home. And let me tell you, the Little Remedies line of medicine for little people is fairly effective! After each dose of the Little Colds last night, his earache went away within minutes. Which made me feel good, because he was in such misery, poor guy. Thank God for all these crazy drugstore deals on products I wouldn't normally have gotten!!

dreeeme, hug for you and praying for you and your family. I can't imagine having to leave my little one under those circumstances, and I know it must be killing you. hug

(aggression, violence, anger, impulsiveness..etc) I won't go into all the details because 1. we aren't in a private board and 2. there are too many twatwaffle lurkers that can't help but enjoy others' drama.

please please please msg me!!! I went through this 2 years ago with my daughter AND I was working for 5 years on an inpatient psych hospital! Talk about hard to handle!!!
