Dazzled - A new kitchen sounds exciting.. pics please Blowkiss
Pic will come...when it is finished. Sadwalk There were some planing mistakes, measuring mistakes, ordering mistakes and some time management mistakes but it will be officially domne in 15 days.

We drove 450+ miles to Ikea to get the kitchen, told the kid not to make any mistakes because we can NOT come back! Well we got a cabinet to big, when we addded the 'side panels' the kid forgot to tell us that it TAKES UP SPACE in the very tight measurments I had, which caused my brand new $1700 LG fridge to not fit anymore - and need to go get a crappy regular fridge. Then he didn't add 2 of the side panels we actually needed (taking more precious inches off my plan) then I had need filler and toe kick and got a shorter amount then I need. And he gave me the wrong sink cabinet, I have a regular sink, he gave me the Apron front farm sink cabinet which is already installed and I didn't notice until I went to put on the doors. Luckily it is 'kinda' easy to fix while installed. BUT now we are having to go back to an IKEA to return some extras and get the 6 missing pieces. The good thing is that our return will only be $21 short of the new purchase but we have to drive all the way over the Charlotte NC to get it WITH the huge ass gas guzzling 5wx6hx8 enclosed trailer that towers over my minivan causing wind resistence. We are going on the kids Spring Break cause they can't miss any school and DH can't get any PTO, so we have to go on his normal days off for the week. We are members of the NC aquarium and as members we can get into the NC Zoo for free also so we will add that into the trip and make it a working vacay.

So far I am loving the kitchen and getting really pissed I waited this long to do it, just to then put the house on the market, but I need to do it fast before they drity it all up. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

This is scary. Make me throw out my half used tube of Crest 3D and switch back to Colgate.

I did not have any problems with the Crest 3D after using that half tube but don't want to chance it.

I know in the past when I did use other Crest products the inside of my mouth would peel after using. Nothing painful, just bothersome.

l2b - that is great that your son is ready to eat already - and I bet hubby is glad he's doing better too! My DD is just now starting to try some solids - taking it pretty slow. She's been living on ensure, milkshakes, smoothies, and yogurt!

Older kids are a huge blessing. Not sure what I'd do without my 14 y.o. In fact, I'm almost wondering what will happen once she is off on her own.

Speaking of dental problems... I'm still having tooth pain. Ugh. DH says to go get it yanked, but I haven't brought myself to that point yet. Plus, I think they want cash up front. Got other medical bills to pay first.
my opinion. I'm hoping for a good deal soon.
Awww Ank... use some PURE vanilla extract on your tooth until you can get it pulled. Your dd sounds like a real blessing... Does she have an idea of what she wants to do for college? Or what interests her?

Blowkiss I have been trapped installing my new Ikea kitchen for the past 3 days and have not been able to read up w/ yous. I had planned on hitting T tomorrow so I must get over to deals quick, then I'll try my best to get caught up over here too. :wave5:
Hey there!! Are you really that handy? LOL I suck @ everything like that...lol Need to see pics of your new kitchen.
Quote from flugette :
Oh man, that Thomas coupon. My son's collection came mostly from that coupon.

And Rachael (I think it was you, or Nikayla, forgot to multiquote), I started out on mycoupons, too! So funny. Maybe we were there at the same time. Another one of my favorites was pinchingyourpennies. They were mainly based in UT, but they were a good starting place for me. They had a wishing well, where they would open the well for a limited amount of time. You would send your wishlist from their coupon list, and if you were one of the lucky ones, you would get an envelope full of coupons. Pretty cool. nod That was when I first got into getting coupons other than printing from my computer and the one newspaper I got every Sunday. Kind of mushroomed from there.
OMG I started couponing after I found AFC and started stalking Sears clearance appliances and tvs on there... then I saw something about SD so decided to check it out... I started couponing when I was 4 months preggo with my now 4 year old dd... long time. I used to LOVE those 06 toy coupons... one of my favs!!
Quote from melkevdev :
jello, cystal light, maxwell house coffee come to mind.
I think I read here that some of you can use expired coupons. I have BUNCHES of T friendly coupons that expired recently. PM me if you can use them. Would love for them to see a scanner instead of a trash can.
Oh and add stovetop to that list...

Why don't you live near me???? Too bad shipping is so dang expensive. I have a bunch of Crest Pro Health mint toothpaste that I would love to trade someone for the Cinnamon. Think of the fun we could all have if the post office had free shipping codes!
I have decided what I am making... sort of. I have looked at a few of the soup recipes using the Santa Fe sauce and I'm not making any of them: But I am going to do something similar. I have boneless skinless chicken thighs in the pressure cooker right now. When they are done I wills shred or chunk them and I should have a couple cups of nice chicken broth. I'll add cream and the cooking sauce and go from there.

I don't know how spicy/flavorful the sauce is. I may add a can of chili beans. I'm not crazy about beans either, but a few in the soup are fine and it will add a thing to the soup -- not just flavor but a chunk. Or I may puree a can of tomatoes (with or without chilies). We had chili dogs for supper last night (hmmm, this could be redundant, that didn't occur to me til I typed that). I have part of a can of chili with no beans in the fridge I could throw in. I have red and green peppers in the freezer but if I start tossing too much in there they aren't going to eat it.

Then I'll make corn bread to go with it.

I still have 7 little bitty cans of tomato paste.
OMG can you imagine if we could find free shipping codes for the post office that would be soooooooooooo bad ass!! We could have a great exchange of stuff.. geez post office needs to put out "amazon" like codes LOL

I have been on these boards and couponing for 5 years this month (yeah I was a lurker for a long time! Found the board on BF!) I remember some great Qs... I had a few hundred jars of spicy, tons of condoms, LOTS of polly pockets and thomas the tanks! I started out of necessity.... but it took a good year for me to really figure it all out.... I miss last years 10% garden Q Talk about bad programming
I never got to use that garden q but heard it was bad arse!! It took me a while to get down the art of couponing... and it took a good while to understand all of the JMS stuff... hugs!!

How is your week going with your kiddos? Sending many hugs and prayers for early bedtime for an extra cold drink for you at nighttime HUGS!!
Quote from teenbean :
Glad he is home. I would LOVE it you could share any tips! My 7yr old DD has tantrums and will try hitting me when she is upset. Throws things and has put a hole in her bedroom door. I think it got worse with the divorce. I worry that she will end up like her father. He was diagnosed with bi-polar and is heavily into drugs and alcohol.

Now my second dd is so laid back and calm. She is the total opposite of her sister. she is definitely like me.

As far as couponing goes I am self taught... the only time I remember my mom using coupons was when a cashier would not take her coupon because the expiration date was cut off.
I am so sorry!! I am there too... my son is starting his IEP process.... and he is quite a handful but five of my other kiddos are completely chill... then my other two..one is hyper but not horrid... but my other dd is just like my ds. Sending many hugs!!

This is when I started shenanigans...I mean tou-poning at T. I heart me some P&G dealios! Whee

Just sold the pack n play I picked up @ K for $23.99 (on a Visa GC). J wll be very happy to see all of this extra baby gear off the back porch. Made a nice little profit! woot

Noah is wide awake chilling. It is very weird going from a colicky baby to a chill one. I hope this temperament sticks around!
Aww Thift!! So glad you got a break with Noah, so to speak...sending lots of hugs!! Enjoy that gorgeous little boy!!

Oh I need to find one of those pack n plays...perfect for a new monkee!! LOL

is what I think of when someone says 'shenanigans'. I mentally add a "whee" to the word ::
OMG I am so new to this IEP deal... it is scary to me... maybe because I have never done it nor did I ever imagine doing it... I guess.. my ds acts out in school and at home. sending many many hugs!!

I think it should be Bunnies' job to keep us all apprised of the deals. She can keep a nice up to date list done Barney Style. When we want to shop she can customize it to each of us and send it. Ok, fine, she doesn't have to customize it. We can all get the same list. Are we all in favor of this?

And Bunnies, I know it's spring but it's always good to plan ahead. I found the perfect hat for you for next winter.

Is there dumped pepper juice somewhere in my house??? Nope, he DRANK it. All of it. Next day we heard some odd noises coming from the bathroom. I think there was whimpering involved.

ooh! then i would go to iowa 2 times in my life!

a very long time ago we went to omaha, NE for a wedding. so we drove across the border, took a picture of the *welcome to iowa* sign along the highway or whatever sign had an iowa location on it and turned around and drove back.

don't think i've ever actually set foot in iowa though...

we did almost the same for kansas last yr. went to kansas city, MO to see the royals play. went to oklahoma joe's that inaa recommended for ribs (they really are very, very, very good), then walked a few blocks into kansas city, ks, and took a picture of a street sign.

Spoiled rotten. I got Coco a little doggy bed a while back and boy does she like that. I take it in our bedroom at night and then back out in the living room during the day. And if I forget, she lets me know. She stands there and stares at me until I figure it out. And if I don't figure it out quickly enough she makes weird noises. laugh out loud She is currently in her bed with her blanky napping. Which is what she does 22 hours a day.

Heidi the hoodlum has a new "trick". Hubby was sitting here (reclining love seat, foot rest up) talking to her the other day and said, " plllltttt (blew a raspberry). As soon as he she leaped up off the floor and right into his lap in one hop. EEK! I think his voice is a little higher pitched now. Every time he does it, she goes crazy and leaps -- and just when HE does it. It's crazy.

#3 Sugar the puff ball -- ignores both of them.
