DH comes back tonight ..we survived the week

....7 straight days

Dinner: We are going to have to put our big freezer in storage for the next 6 months while we're apartment living so I've been cooking all frozen food for the last week. I'm trying to whittle it down to the bare bones. Tonight I popped some meatballs I had frozen into the crockpot. It's kind of nice to not have to think about what we're having and just grab whatever frozen crap I can find!

Wags/CVS used to be my thing. CVS is where I started. Now I am so clueless it isn't even funny.

What does it mean when a cranky GSTL (I think that is what she was..front register manager, then went to dept. head manager or something like that) gets put in Cafe to work? I had put anonymous suggestion cards in about her being a biznatch a long time ago...then after a while she went to working the cafe and is still there. I am just hoping that they plan on keeping her there and that this is not just a step 'up' towards a management position. She has been there for a long time and moved around quite a bit but has been stuck in cafe for months. Which is where I like her to be, she was always all up in my business when she was on the floor. Now it seems to be just killing her to not be able to come over and boss everyone around.

Same here. I started my more serious couponing at Wags, but now that I live close to a Target, Kroger-store, and CVS I never go there. There are some great deals next week too.

ank, yes growing pains can be that bad. DH had them and his parents to him to many Drs and specialists to find out why he was having so much pain and after going through all that growing pains were the only thing they came up with. They stopped as entered his late teens and the growth spurts slowed.

Wish I could figure it out... and had coupons. *laugh* Looks like there are deals on Always, colgate, and something else... I forget. *sigh* I need to go back to my notebooks or something. I think i did better when I wrote things out by hand!

I also wanted to mention that while it is not the norm for high fevers with teething it does happen. One of three of my kids had a high fever with every single tooth. On top of that she broke each tooth through the gums one at a time! We took her to the ER the first time because with meds her fever hit 105 and was going up. They told us the only thing to do is to give Tylenol and then 3 hours later give Motrin and repeat that over and over. To give her tepid baths to cool her off and bring her back if she had a seizure. She would also violently vomit as the tooth would break through the gums, which always seemed to happen at night. We had MANY sleepless nights during those times. The meds would only keep the fever down for two hours, for the last hour before we could give another dose we kept her in her baby tub and used the wash cloth to keep her head damp and evaporating, it seemed to help, and we never noticed a seizure or anything.

I'm taking Noah for pics at Target tomorrow. He had his first bath bath tonight in the kitchen sink :r: and hardly made a peep. He smells wonderful and I loved on his squishy little butt after all was done then he zonked. J came into the kitchen when I was washing his hair and couldn't believe he wasn't crying. JJ cried, screamed and wailed for a few weeks at bathtime. Thankfully, it is his favorite time of day now...well next to the times of day he destroys my stuff.

Both babes are sleeping for now. JJ has been waking up every night about 2 hours after we put him down. : Lots of regressive behavior since new little dude has invaded his world.

Okay... still puzzled over my toddler. For MONTHS now, she complains of pain in one particular leg. It's usually around the knees or in her foot. She will complain during the day off and on, refuses to walk up/down steps, won't play much/run around much, etc... At the same time, she does have times that she runs around, jumps, kicks, etc... and seems just like every other kid.

Every night - more nights than not (as in I can't remember when she didn't) she will scream in her sleep several times at night about pain in her legs. Ibuprophen seems to help a bit, but she doesn't want me to rub or massage her legs. Sometimes she'll put ice packs on it, but it doesn't seem to help (more of a "sister put ice packs on her boo-boo, so that's what i should do" kind of thing with her it seems).

There's no noticeable swelling, redness, or bruising that I can tell. There are times that she trips or seems to drag her foot a bit - or like she doesn't pick up her toes all the way when walking or running, or sometimes like her legs don't quite hold out when going up or down steps - (she falls off of the steps a lot and trips just walking around quite often.) Does that make sense? I don't know. It's weird and just has me :
I had taken her to the doctors, but I forgot to mention the foot dragging and stuff - just that she complains of the pain and there's no swelling that I see. He didn't seem concerned and just said it was probably growing pains. Is it really that awful? I mean, these are blood-curdling screams that she lets out, followed up with pitiful whimpering and tossing and turning at night. It's kind of unnerving.

DS and I are having a #2 standoff. We will go many days without accidents and then there are some days that he doesn't even tell me until he has pooped. I dont understand it and try to always be consistent. Well, after asking him to go potty every so often for the last few hours, I just got a whiff of something stinky and asked him if he needed to go. He looked at me and in his best Swiper voice told me, "You're tooooo late!" So but

DD is doing good the transition to having her back is going better than expected :lmo:

Brother not doing well , after chemo is now doing radiation... I'm praying non-stop., among other things.

She's only 3 1/2 - I can't imagine what she'll go through if they continue. Ugh. What helped - anything? It seems so pitiful.

Mavis definitely had a virus - but there's not much they can do for that. She's had the nasty goopy nose for a few days + cough. Thankfully the fever is gone. Of course, she's teething on top of it - so that makes it worse. I'm just glad it's not an infection or something with her kidneys. Doc said most teething fevers are around 100.5ish, but can be a bit higher. Sounds like ya'll went through heck with your little baby. Mavis still hasn't popped out her teeth yet - though I thought I had felt them a few days ago. She's just being ornery, I suppose. *laugh*

I think I'm just a bit worn out and tired of feeling like a hypochondriac when it comes to the kids lately.

I'm fairly certain I have another (or the same) sinus infection too... but I so don't want to see another doctor's office. Tired of doctors and pills and feeling blah.

So... is it bad when you are thinking "I don't know if I want to go look at houses tomorrow... I have coupons I need to spend...?"

I wonder which deal is better on Always, Target or Wags. I have some $2 Always MQs from the Tampax boxes.

The only thing that helped cool her down when the meds were not working was the bath. Her fever would usually stay between 102 to 103 when we kept her wet. Then we would give her meds and it would go back to 100 for a few hours and then go right back up. We got used to it, she would scream right after she threw up and we would both get up, one would start the washer and the other of us would start the bath.

If you don't want to go on meds for your sinus infection you could take raw garlic 3 times a day instead. DH refuses antibiotics and he takes garlic instead, 3 times a day for the first two or three days and then just twice a day for three or four days. When we couldn't afford meds many years ago the Dr at the clinic told him that is what she advises patients to do when they can't afford the scrip.

I would rather spend coupons than house shop if I hadn't been shopping in a week or so.
