Poor DS is still feverish and seems very sensitive to noise. Every time little man "yells" or grunts, DS is instantly tattling on him and then breaking down crying. I feel so sorry for him but man, he is testing my patience. The little man isn't helping matters by taunting big brother. I cannot wait until bedtime.

I think it definitely depends on the boys.. I have 2.. one has been more of a stinky boy than the other.. His room just smells like "sweaty feet" all the time to me.. But, he is downstairs, and I just keep the room closed.. I figure when he moves out, I will need to fumigate laugh out loud

Hi everyone! Been a horrible crazy week here. I just posted this thread in the lounge. One of my daughter's friends ran away on Monday and has not been heard from since. She is 16 years old, and it looks like she ran away with her boyfriend, who is currently on the run from the police. I listed a description of her car and the plates. Could everyone Please keep an eye open for it while you're out and about? The family has asked that anyone who sees them call 911.

Thank you so much!

So sad. hug for the family

Had a bad day today. Was driving to Green Bay in the fast lane and the car in front of me decided to stop because they were lost! So couldn't stop in time and hit them and spun their car around. Luckily no one was hurt except my poor car. It doesn't look so bad but the hood is made of fiber glass and it no longer locks to the car so it has to be two bungee cords holding it shut. I had to drive it 30 miles home on the highway. All I could do is watch it bounce up and down, praying it would not fly off!

I was heading to see my ex's sister's brand new baby. Of course the accident made me late and I only got to see them for an hour before they had to leave. I blame my ex. If he hadn't wanted to come along, I would have been there an hour earlier and this would have never happened. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!

And now my back is killing me, I will have to take a look in the medicin cabinet for something. I think I might make myself a brandy and Coke.
Sounds like a sucky day.. Glad you are okay thought hug

So tonight is Prom and my DD is there. Why am I always a basket case when she leaves the house? I am such a worrier. AND she tells me that she is going to after prom party and then with a bunch of friends to IHOP to eat. So she doesn't plan to be home until late late...actually make that early early in the morning. I often wonder If I will survive these teenage years. I will stay up all night worrying about her while my DH snores in his quiet slumber. uggh I guess that is the woes of being a mom!! Now I ask...Do you ever get used to them being gone from home? Or am I being overdramatic? LOL
I think at some point you do.. Atleast that is what my mom said.. I moved out and got married at 19. It took her months she told me, but she finally got used to me not being home. I can't say from experience cause mine are still here.. although alot of days I wish the 18 year old would move out LMAO

How old is your daughter?Just curious.. Did you give her a curfew time?

had a great day.. relaxed at home with the family until around 5 pm.. then we went to dinner, and hit toys r us.. I managed to get the incredibles/cars bluray deal.. plus picked up some minnie mouse movies, and easter candy that were a great deal.. Also got the little tykes sandbox I had been wanting to buy..
Went to 2 targets.. Finally found some clearanced swimsuits that counted for the GC deal. Made my oldest DD quite happy.. Second target I just threw together a nice STC run cause a jedi was working.. Stopped off at CVS for my free PF makeup, newspapers, and airwick... Then took the kids by for ice cream and came home..

She is 18. I didn't give her a curfew time. I did sit down with her and talk about what her/their plans were, where they would be and what times everything would be happening. She is very responsible. She checks in with me often (usually just a text message) when she is out. I have told her that I know she is responsible and that I don't necessarily need to know 'what' she is doing all the time she is gone but I just want to know that all is ok. May sound strange but it works for us. She has always been a very good teenager and so I think that gives us both a sense of respect for each other....kwim...It is just really hard to get used to her being gone more now than she used to be...concerts, movies, trips with friends. Each time she is gone seems to get a little easier. LOL
I must say though, that after spending the afternoon with my 3 yo neice, that my DH and I really cherish our teenagers. They are almost invisible compared to having a little one around. Smilie

I guess this is her senior prom? My daughter went a few weeks ago.. she is only a Junior though and only 16. She went to the prom and pretty much just came home laugh out loud they really didn't have any big plans for after.. I remember when it was my senior prom I didn't really have a curfew.. but, ended up coming home around 1:30 or so.. Went with my DH, and we had a nice time at prom and wonderful dinner afterwards.. we were gonna stay out later, but really couldn't find much to do at that time of night.. other than get a hotel room like others were doing shake head.. so, we came home and sat on my front porch talking for hours... I still treasure those memories heart

I bet she is having a great time!

And I agree about teenagers being invisible sometimes.. I always say that if it weren't for my 3 year old, I wouldn't know I have kids some days Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

yes, senior prom. Their plans are to go to the 'after prom party' which is at the school gym. It is actually a fun event I am told. Lots of great prizes, which is what lured my daughter to go. LOL..Hmm she is more like me than I may have realized..FREE STUFF!! She told me 'mom, I am going to the after party cause they give away awesome prizes..like laptops, ipods, gc's, kindles, etc and I am going to win something good"...Yep we like our free stuff!!

So now she is gone to that, my DS (almost 15) is in his room playing video games, DH is on his computer playing WOW (I don't really understand that game but he says it is fun) and I am...well, on SD trying to figure out some walgreens transactions for tomorrow. LOL You could hear a pin drop it is so quiet here.

Wow, free prizes sounds good.. wish I could go Wink I love free stuff too.. Funny how excited we get over getting something free..

All day today a restaurant here was running a deal where whatever you purchased today, you could come back and get again next week for free with your receipt.. I was buying more than normal just cause the thought of getting it all for free next week sounded so good laugh out loud

Your house sounds like mine.. DS is 18 and stays in his room downstairs almost all of the time that he isn't at school.. he is watching netflix, playing computer games, surfing the web, etc.. DD is 16 and she is always in her room on the phone, texting, listening to music, etc.. DS is 13 and is almost always found down in the den playing xbox.. just leaves the 3 year old upstairs hanging out with me.. DH is sometimes in here, and other times he is down stairs playing PS3.. When the toddler goes to bed, it is pretty quiet here too Smilie

I too am trying to think about Walgreens deals.. haven't shopped there in several years.. I was thinking about the goodys RR deal.. I hate that deals don't roll at wags for the most part, so I am trying to figure out what to roll the goodys into for the lowest oop cost.. I am great at CVS, but walgreens makes my brain hurt!

Well I made it through phase one of the night. DD just came home to change into normal clothes and headed off to the party. She told me it lasts until about 3:00am and that is when they do the drawings for prizes. You have to be present to win. They do this to keep the kids off the streets and out of trouble after the prom. The night must be wearing on her cause she told me she may just come home after the party and skip the IHOP with friends part. LOL

DH has moved from playing WOW on computer to playing something on PS3...Exciting times here I tell you...

As far as WG goes: I have lots of RR that I can roll. But there are just not any real MM this week. So here is my plan:
1 Goody $3
1 Nasogel $4.99-1mq=$3.99
1 gas x prev. $4.99-4mq-2ivc= -$1.01
3 scotch tape $1.99-$1mq-$1mq=-.01 (b1g2 free IVC)
1 airwick $3.99-$4mq=-.01
2 choc. peeps $1-1mq=0 (using 2/$1 ivc)
2 crayola on the go $3- 1mq-1mq=$1
2 m&m's $4-$2/2mq-$1wq= $1
10 dove choc bars $3.90-$3.75(using .75mq)=.15 (also need .39 ivc in ad)
3 fillers (will probably get cups/sacks .16 each w/ivc) .48
$8.60-$8rr=.60 get $5rr and $3rr back

This will only work for me if the GasX prevention is included in the sale. But I am making my transaction lists off these items. Some transactions only include a few items.
Then I will make a few transactions for stuff I actually need, like coke 12pks and 2 liters and use RR to pay.

I have 2 younger brothers and don't remember them being that smelly. But my DS can walk from the house to the car and smell like he just mowed the lawn in 90 degree weather. So, yeah, it varies widely I am sure.

Thank you for posting this. I hope someone sees her and calls the police. Those fake FB pages are atrocious. I wish that I hadn't seen those when reading the thread you started. WTF is wrong with some people?

I hope DD had fun and won a prize!! My parents were super strict with me and I had a curfew of 11, even when I was a senior in HS. I still remember my escort's face when I told him he to take me home right after prom was over. My parents loosened up when they saw how well horribly their strictness worked.

Makes for REALLY cheap greenworks stuff. TT reports that the deal ends 5/7.

I am the opposite. I am comfortable with Wags deals but CVS wears me out...

I think what helps the most is constant washing of the bedding. OMG, I think you need a gas mask to pull the sheets off. LMAO

We lived about 6 hours away from family when my son hit that stage. My mom came to visit and just couldn't understand why on earth his room smelled so bad. It must be because it's dirty. Sure, Mom, that's it. I tried to explain to her that it was just teen age boy and it's unstoppable. She didn't believe me. I have three sisters, no brothers. Stripped the bed, opened the windows, vacuumed, air sprayed, made sure there were no dirty clothes, son was bathed and shampoo (which he did at least daily anyway) etc. etc. 24 hours later it smelled the same. LMAO It was so much better when he was little smelled like a puppy. Remember the puppy smell? I liked that.
I fell in love with Surf laundry detergent when my son was that age...

Agree. The best way I could describe it is that people with no souls created it. Frown NOT what her mom needs to see right now.

Friends, just wanted to pop in and send greetings to all those observing Passover this week, and to those beginning Holy Week today.

This Palm Sunday I pray that the year ahead brings each of us respite from our challenges, peace from our sadnesses, and joy with our loved ones.

Thank you for your friendship and support and kindnesses over the past year.
