Way too far behind to catch up totally!

Well, what to say.. too much on my plate..
DH had a tick bite and didn't notice for a while and has syptoms of lyme disease and too much going on with it..
DH met with an accident.. Thanking God that things are not serious.. but it could be otherwise worse if he drove seconds before or after..
He was making right turn, looked at left, turned right didn't notice truck making revere in the right lane. Truck was fast so was DH, since he was merging right uphill. His car did end up going under the truck (atleast front portion). Truck driver did use the break, but still car got pulled inside with DH inside the car while using the break all the way.
Actually cop called me to the spot coz DH was being attended in the ambulance. When i went to the spot, all I see was his car, which was totaled underneath the truck with 3 cop cars, an ambulance and DH was nowhere in the sight. I really thought I lost him..
DH has some minor injury, not serious. Thank god, thanking god for every moment...
Wow, so much to be thankful for!!! I'm glad he was ok! So sorry to hear about the tick bite - my kids have had a couple (me too actually) NOT fun. hug

Cutie! Love the yawning picture. Smilie

I think you will get a TON of hagglers if you do - but that may not be a big deal for you - especially if everything really must go... : )

Well, thought my toddler was feeling better, but she's not. DH went to church tonight with my oldest and left me home with the 2 little ones. Mavis is screaming her head off in bed. She's tired, but apparently doesn't want to sleep. My head is killing me and I need to get my toddler to bed here in a couple minutes. I am hoping DH stays out for a little bit so that I can just rest with no distractions.
hug So sorry your toddler isn't doing well. My 3 yo has a fever tonight, she was really crabby today and complained of a stomachache tonight. Not sure what's going around here, but I hope it clears up before Sunday - we're having family over for lunch and we're all excited! Seriously. The kids were all helping clean the house today. Big Grin

me: this past weekend marked 4 months since my accident. i remain in excruciating pain. i am yet to drive a car. my right arm is numb and tingly, my shoulder and chest have been hurting so badly today i have been wanting to punch a hole in the wall all day long. i still cannot walk. nor can i stand for more than a few seconds. i cannot bend or straighten my knee. i cannot put on a pair of shorts without wincing/grimacing when the shorts touch my still-distended abdomen. i am better than i was, in part because i have learned to accept constant round-the-clock pain.
i say all this to you not to divert attention to me, but because i don't want your DH to suffer in the same way. so be proactive about getting specialists on his care team and making sure he gets a nuanced once-over from different respective specialties.

sending hugs and prayers your way, sweetie. heart
I didn't read your whole post, but did read this part. Needed to send a cyber hug

Question for nursing/previous nursing moms: any suggestions on nursing tops? They are sooo expensive. The only one I have is a tank, but I was thinking of investing in some actual nursing tops - old navy [gap.com] looks like the only place in my price range, $14.

I am soooo proud of my daughter. She is 7 and shy but reeeeaaalllyyy wanted to try out for her school's talent show. She was really nervous but she sang a song, kinda softly but on key, in front of about 40 people and the judges. She will find out on Tuesday if she made the cut but I am really proud of her for trying. I told her that there is NO WAY I would sing in front of people.
Congrats and good luck! Auditioning was such a big thing to do!

As others suggested, I think you'll get a lot of people expecting things for nearly free, or free. I hope the sale goes well!

I have not seen an impact yet from Extreme Couponing. I get lots of people asking if I've seen the show, to which I promptly say those people are nuts. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I've been trying to follow Flylady and worked on decluttering our master closet today. 15 minutes a day and I'm slowly getting through my whole house. I found a box of T deals from years ago- Olay bar soap big packs, band-aids, Thomas trains, Transformers, and Lumene. It was like a walk down memory lane. It's been buried under a couple bags of clothes for at least 2 1/2 year. LMAO
I'm glad to read that after last week. Wink And lol about finding the stuff. We found a Transformer in the hall closet over the weekend, probably the same deal.
Quote from kopenney :

Not a good day. Doctor said to come back in six months for another mammogram/ultrasound. This means I have to shop more to sell more. Not happy to know that my insurance I have to COBRA is $530 a month and I am skeeeered to go on public health care because if something is actually worng I want the good insurance. Not only did I not pass the mammogram this year I am suppose to go back g in four more months for another pap because that didn't come up good either.
hug I hope that the next one comes back with better results.

hug I wish you were doing so much better at this point.

Nothing much going on here. With everything going on I'm trying to find a way to explain to the yard sale customers that I'm going out of business this summer. I just don't have the patience, time and gas money to chase the deals any longer. I feel bad because one lady had already said that they are only getting by because of getting cheaper prices from me.

jteef, hug for the dental pain. I had a crown put on a lower front tooth a few weeks ago and it is either very sensitive or something is wrong. Most days it aches and throbs a lot. I can't spend even more to fix it so I'm kind of stuck. First, I need to remember to call the dentist to have him check it. It's almost like the crown isn't properly seated under the gumline so the tooth is more exposed than it should be. And yes, I'm using a sensitive tooth, toothpaste.

five, after the second I didn't bother with nursing tops. I bought inexpensive tees a size larger than normal and wore a tank underneath that would hide the tummy. eta oops sorry, my confusion

what is wrong w/ family relations people that they have to lie? their job is to be advocates for the children and what is best for them instead of lying and taking the easy way out or play favoritesMad.

i agree w/ everyone else that you are going to get a bunch of hagglers and people expecting things to be free. they aggravate me so much i'd rather donate it than let them have it.

my cousin did everything half price after a certain time and that pretty much moved everything at the end.

setsail- why don't you point your buyer towards some good shopping blogs like totallytarget.com, moneysavingmom.com and jillcataldo.com? give her a fishing pole and teach her to fish for herself. then the burden is on her whether she succeeds or fails and you don't have to feel bad for her.

I've been trying to follow Flylady too! Although if you saw the disaster my house is right now - you wouldn't think I ever heard of her.

Insurance company has totaled my car. I could either sell it to them for $6100 or keep the car and they will cut me a check for $4800 and then I can fix it myself. Now I'm sure I could fix it for less then what the dealership wanted, but I was going to get a new car in fall anyway so I will sell the car back to them.

NEW CAR SHOPPING! I am a little stressed out on what to get. I wanted a Toyota Rav4 4x4 with a third row seat, but I guess they don't make them with a third row seat in my region? Closest one I found online was the next state over in Minnesota. Then I thought maybe a Honda Pilot, or maybe a Dodge Journey. I really want something that has 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive with a third row seat and gets good gas mileage. No minivans. Plus it needs to look cool. And then there is the whole cost factor. Single mom, 2 kids, no money. I'm pretty sure what I want doesn't exist!

I think I will test drive the Dodge. They at least have a promotion to get some free DVD for test driving.

Teen Did you try out a used Expedition? Gas mileage isn't the greatest but it was so far my favorite vehicle to drive with 3rd row seating.

Kay, prayers and positive thoughts for you and DH! hug I'm sure driving up to the accident scene was quite distressing.

As far as my itching goes, I'm on my second round of oral steroids. LFTs are back to normal so the rash is non cholestasis related but definitely pregnancy related. I wake up every morning with blood spots on my shirt and bra from scratching so intensely at night. Problem is, even with all the scratching, I have felt no relief from this itch. This condition could be used to get information out of the enemy. I know if someone held a cure over my head I'd sing like a stinkin' canary! I'm just ready to get back to normal!!!! (Whatever that is Crazy)

OK, well, I multiquoted a few people and then lost it! Bummer.

I am feeling loads better today, though still have a sore throat and lots of drainage. I'm thinking if I took some allergy meds, that will help clear things up. Have to get them first, though...

It is such a blessing that my sisters' spring break coincided with me being sick. laugh out loud They really were awesome, taking the kids for me so I could relax and rest, or just coming over and entertaining them so I didn't have to. Love my family. heart

kay, sorry to hear about your hubby's accident! That would be so scary, especially to come upon it and see the aftereffects without knowing his condition. HUGS to you!

ank, how's your family doing? I hope everyone is on the mend!

Now to ease myself back into the shopping. I've been sitting on the sidelines for 2 weeks, and now I gotta hit it hard! I have 3 Easter baskets to fill!!! Faint

I really have no idea what to fill them with. Figured I'd get all the coupons and head to all the stores and find the best deals. laugh out loud So far, I have gotten 8 of the Skittles eggs from Wags. laugh out loud That's not gonna take up much space in the hugeous buckets I got from Wal-Mart!!! I plan on getting kids vitamins at CVS since they're BOGO there and that'll take up some room.

But ... just talked to my sister and she's coming over during naptime today to watch the kids so I can go shopping!! Which means I need to start planning my lists and figure out the best places to go.

The scotch tape is free with the IP, even MM I think. And I think its Aquafresh kids TP that is the deal, although some have reported it not ringing up on sale. Haven't tried it myself, so I don't know.

I've just been using larger tees also, but I've got baby flab yet and thought about trying an actual nursing top. $14 seems like a lot just to try something out though.

Scotch tape: Buy 1, get 2 free. I think they're $1.99 (I forgot to buy tape when I went yesterday), then use 2 or 3 of the $1/1 MQs [3m.com]. .01 or 1.01 mm

I cleaned out our closet yesterday too -- mostly. Need hubby to flip through his shirt and get rid of some and I am going to go through mine one more time. Mine aren't exactly an issue, I only have a few anyway.

I hadn't read/looked at any Flylady stuff in years so I had to go take a peek. She lost me pretty quickly. Sticky notes all over the house? I don't think so.

Hey Rachael - what's for supper? I have to run into town to the grocery store for their one day sale. I hate that. Why can't they have it Monday when I go to town anyway? But, they have butter for $1.99 lb. and it's been $3.59ish. Hmmmm, they have some Charmin for $4.99... 2 times and unknown number of CWS coupons. That's a lot of butt wipe LMAO (it's a joke, people) And apparently my daughter wants Reubens, I see it's been added to the list.

I might also have to break down and buy some bottled water (24 @ $2.50). The last couple years I've been able to find a deal making it free with pop or at least next to nothing. We don't use a lot of it but I like a bottle in the van all the time and I want some for our fishing trip -- which is only a month away!!BounceSailingWhee I am so ready to fish. River is too high right now but I haven't even to the lake. Every time it's not raining or snowing it's too windy.

I feel like a broken record always asking this, but has anyone perchance separated the Scotch tape q from the rest? I am planning on getting some tape, but hate to waste ink and paper on all those other qs. I googled and couldn't find any listed anywhere, so I'm hoping someone here has it. :prettyplease:

And graced, I never got the nursing tops - I always felt they looked too obvious, and the one or two that I got as hand-me-downs were too bulky. I usually just wore a cami underneath any shirt I was wearing, and then carried an extra-big burp cloth (custom-made, talking about 4ft square) for more modesty/coverage while nursing. Cuz nobody needs to see my flabs. EEK! laugh out loud
