[QUOTE=gt6mk31;39114809]Our forecast is pretty much rain all week. Again. It's sunny and pretty right now, but supposed to cloud up and rain this afternoon. I should be outside doing something but it's still darn chilly. Especially since most of what I need to do involves messing with water -- cleaning and getting the little pond going and vacuuming the pool. No big hurry to get the chairs/cushions or the gazebo canvas up since it doesn't look like I'll be outside this week!snip

gt...I laugh everytime I read one of your posts cause this is exactly me! Pool is still green, needs salt and will clear up rather quickly, but oh the vacuuming that needs to be done on it will take forever. We did get our gazebo canvas up but only because it has been raining ALL weekend so wanted to have a little shelter for our grill while we cooked out. I am in SW MO and I believe what we have gotten/getting is headed your way maybe?? It was raining so hard when I took son to school this morning that I couldn't get back home on my usual streets they had flooded over in the 2 minutes it took me to drop him off at school!! Hopefully it will let up enough that I can make it to pick him up at 3:00 but doesn't look like it according to radar. UGGH

Sounds like things are moving at lightning speed , sounds like yard sale rocked yeah!
Lightning speed doesn't begin to describe it. 11 days and counting. Now that Easter is over I'm kicking it into high gear. I was close to a nervous breakdown this morning, but some fancy coffee and a few deep breaths brought me down off my ledge!

Ahhhhhhh... vomit in the car IS THE WORST!!! I swear this is the only place my kids ever puke. Good luck. I hate taking the seat apart and having to clean it. vomit

I spend every holiday eve with those darn stickers Whee I end up sticking them onto the legs of the ironing board for a splash of red Girly

There seems to be quite a bit of snarkiness regarding other topics in this thread lately. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Whatever floats your boats peeps.
I've noticed an abundance as well.

If that was a J'ailMe Kirlew comment, she was shopping at a Safeway and not a Kroger. Nathan and others were Kroger.
I think it was a joke. look around I don't have Krogers nor Safeways...

Gonna go to Target later this week -- maybe Wednesday. Can't really think of anything exciting about that. I will check there and WM for the ??? is it Nivea body wash we have $3 coupons for? Whatever it is, I haven't cut last week's but I'm sure I have some. I need meat but that's just expensive, not fun.

Our fishing trip is less than a month away but I can't even think of any shopping I need to do for that. Granola bars are nice to throw in the boat. I could use a super cheap deal on those.
Oven Bags. I won't cook a turkey any other way and they work great for hams too. The amount of drippings you end up with is excellent.
Bunnies!! I have to say, you are looking very springy today. Glad to see you perked up.
You can probably move it alright. Granted, transplanting before it starts blooming is better, but it doesn't make it impossible. Stick your spade down in the dirt as far as you can all the way around it and then lift the whole root ball. I'd leave the dirt around it but if it all falls off, don't worry about it. Just stick the root end in a bag or bucket to keep your car clean and replant as quickly as you can. If you can dig up and replant the same day, it would be better but a day or so will be fine too. Keep it in the shade -- or at least out of direct, hot sunlight -- while it's not planted.
Well, in that case it won't work. I'm convinced that those are magic boots. They change coupons into what ever you want them to be.
Teehee After what I just spent on necessities at Publix, I'm convinced my sneakers are not magic at all. Time for a change of footwear!!
what kind of fishing trip are you taking? We are major boaters but fishing has taken a backseat since having kids. Sea sickness and general bored attitudes are just too much laugh out loud

Wave

Got back from visiting my brother later Sat. and had a super busy day with church and seeing more family yesterday. Was a great weekend all in all Smilie More travelling next weekend. Gotta say the iPad is priceless for travelling with dd....occupied her the entire 2 hrs. in the car! She can operate everything for the most part too so it's not like I had to keep turning around to help her.

l2b, so sorry about your friend and her family...I can't imagine what they are going through Frown Comfort

Lisa, awesome that Trevor is gonna be a big bro!!! Now grow white cells grow!

Ariel - good luck with the section this week, how exciting!

Sorry to all of you having to deal w/sick kiddos and clean car seats; that is a pain! Luckily we have only had to do that once in the last 3 yrs. and ugh quite the fiasco trying to get the puke out of all the cracks and crevices. hug

My daughter used to get car sick occasionally. I started carrying a big plastic margarine tub with a lid. It was kept within her reach. Ice cream buckets are nice but they are sometimes kind of big for little hands to hold on to.

We find a resort and rent a cabin for a week. Now, when I say resort, don't think fancy smancy. I mean small housekeeping cabins on a lake. Indoor plumbing IS required. Most of them provide a boat and you can either rent their motor or take your own. We rent theirs. If it croaks, my vacation isn't ruined. This is our third year to go and we have gone to a different area each time.

We spend some time a few days -- and there is usually one day the weather refuses to let me fish -- that we check out the little towns and do regular touristy stuff. I like art galleries -- small, local, original art.

Ummmmm.... throw some rice, a can of Cream of Something or tomatosoup , and some milk in a 9 x 13 pan and wisk it together. Just toss the chicken on top -- or since you have little ones, cut it into bite size pieces and throw on top or mix in the rice. Dump the tomatoes over the top. Cover with foil bake for an hour or so. If you feel the need to force vegetable on your poor unsuspecting children dump something in the rice. Mixed veggies work nicely.

I just cook the tomatoes with some garlic and whatever else, like peppers, herbs, etc. Then cook the chicken and serve over pasta. You can add cheese too. Here's a recipe I found that is pretty close to how I have made it before, and it's good. Best thing though, you can really substitute ingredients to what you have on hand.

Got 2 Haagen Dazs ice cream, one for me and one for DH. I can't believe he ate the whole thing!

His comment when I ask, "Well you took away the lid so I had to eat it".

*edited to add. I'm also thinking white bean chicken chili with fire roasted tomatoes thrown in and served over brown rice would be good. Me thinks I'm getting hungrier by the minute Faint

I'd kill for that coupon again. I am out of them and need more for chili.

You can pack up and head to a Minnesota cabin to fish and escape the Florida heat instead of a mountain cabin and escape. There are some really expensive ones but there are also some very reasonable ones.

Funny tootsie, when that great Muir Glen coupon was out, well that was when I made that chicken recipe! I'm sure we probably talked about it in this thread too, because we all had so many tomatoes! I just bought fixings for chili today and kind of drooled at the Muir Glen fire roasted cans on the shelf in the store, too expensive now! My stock of other brands will have to do for now.
