Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I don't have to cook this year, I'm just making cheesecake. oewiz- I always make a turkey breast and it still gives enough juice for gravy!

Menu: Turkey, gravy, stuffing, sweet pot casserole w/ marshmallow top (mine), brussel sprouts with bacon and maple glaze, mashed potatos, green bean casserole w/ crispy onions on top, apple pie and pumpkin pie .... we came in late last night so I'm guessing from the ingredients I saw on the counter and in the overflow fridge.

Well never mind about making cheesecake... my mom doesn't have vanilla extract O.o and since it's one of only four ingredients then I'll just have to forgo it. Frown

wave Do you have any other extracts (almond, lemon, orange)? Or maybe some liqueur? I think you could even use rum or something like that for flavoring...I've seen people suggest using orange or lemon juice and then use the zest to add more flavor, but you have to be careful about how much liquid you add to the recipe. If you have a Meijer nearby, I know they are open on Thanksgiving...I think a lot of drugstores around here are too, so you could try those places if you have time to run out and get vanilla extract hug
