A boat that size does not get trailer-ed Nono2 and a new truck would not be needed in this case Nono2 For this size boat, it would be pulled from the Marina via their lift system and stored at a boat yard nod and a custom made cover made for it Whee Oh, they should include the custom made winter cover as well, I can tell them where that should be done as well - I know the perfect place to have that done - they have all the layouts for the covers for just about any boat out there to make a custom winter cover nod The beam size would be well over the size allowable on the roadways, therefore not allowed to be on a trailer Teehee

We have bridges around here that require one to have special permits to trailer something that size and/or one has to have traffic stopped on the bridges to cross them with a boat that size - not worth the trouble - to trailer it - we don't see anyone trailer a boat that size around here because of the bridges here to get to the Marina's. Even to get to the Marina we go to, it would be troublesome at best to get it there, and traffic would need to be stopped. One would need to purchase something like that from one of the Boat Dealerships on the waterway and drive it up the river to the Marina - not trailer it nod We have a lot of really big boats at our Marina, and nary a one has a trailer under it, that is over 40' - we see them all up on blocks for the winter; that or they head south for the winter - lucky them wootwoot One is in Annapolis right now - just got an update - me - green with envy laugh out loud laugh out loud There was a 80' yacht, absolutely beautiful that came up from Ft. Lauderdale during Hurricane season to our Marina - for safe harbor - and she is soon to head back down there.

I agree 100% with that statement - I too recommended people to the site for the same reasons - and I value my privacy - I certainly don't use my real name here - and don't give people I recommend my real SN here either. So for long-time users here - we loose out on this deal - because we value our privacy - and we have referred so many people in the past as it is.

Maybe we should be rewarded by post(s) and/or rep points - now that's an interesting idea Scratchchin
Iagree

I've told dozens of people about this site, but I've never given any of them my username. Heck, every week I go to Walgreen's, and people see all the stuff I get for free, and they go "OMG, how did you do that?!" And I just tell them "slickdeals.net, you should check it out." And that's it! I don't even know their name or anything. laugh out loud

Or how about all the people who do check out the site because I do occasionally wear one of my two SD t-shirts while I'm doing a run. People see me paying with change; I know at least a few of them have probably checked here without knowing my name.

Oh yeah, that's a good point!

But yeah, I've even had several family/friends join the site and shown them how to set up deal alerts and stuff, but I wouldn't ever give them my username on here. I'd like to keep that separate.

Well when your avatar's your picture it's a little bit more difficult. And I use the same moniker for almost everything.

Would you mind adding a 40' or 45' Boat to this give-a-way - we sure would like to have a larger boat Pray something slightly larger - and oh make sure it has a bow thruster in it - that would definitely be a plus in my book Thumbsup Oh, and include one year's worth of free gas Woot Woot Woot
Whee This sounds good! I would love a boat! Ohhhh how I would love to have a boat!! Sailing

Quote from Zoe Moon :
I've never used referrals, not even when I was doing C&S for a while. No one I recommended SD to even knows my user name, other than DH of course. I want to be able to 'talk' freely in the lounge without someone IRL knowing what I said. I recommend things based on what I like, not to get points for anything. Life's too short to mess with that BS. So I find it a little irritating that SD feels the need to reward people who do referrals when I recommended SD to friends it was because I felt SD was a great site for deals. Sadwalk
Iagree I don't want people I know personally to know my user name on here. I frequently talk about Slickdeals with my friends and family, but I don't care to let them know who I am on here. A couple friends referred me to Slickdeals, but I don't know their names on here either. And I'm sure at least one of them wouldn't want me to know his.

What's with all these websites lately not giving a crap about people and their privacy?!? Confused

Yeah, I agree with that as well - I wear that SD Black Shirt at least once a week when I'm out doing my weekly shopping trips Ranting So people do see it and quite a few people have commented on it - and I've told many people about this site - and even written down the site's name on pieces of paper - as I keep a little note pad in my purse - and given them the information Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Not that I've given them my SN - but yep a lot of people especially those at HD - I've gotten lots of inquiries from people there - when I'm up there with my shirt on nod
