Well it was an estate sale but kind of like a hoarders place. The lady and guy running it said there was about 1/4 of what had originally been in there. I got a big industrial westinghouse fan for $3 and an assortment of telegraph insulators an old glass clorox bottle for $4. My wife got an antique mirror they had priced at $25 for $10. she said she could tell by the glass it was old.

That's really cool - I wish I had one!
Many things are more valuable if you just leave them alone but with fans people want to have the nostalgia of the vintage style but also want it to be functional.
The old glass insulators used to be somewhat valuable but the price has gone down over the years unless they are something very unusual. There were just too many of them in use for them to hold their value, although many were destroyed since they make such a tempting target sitting up on those poles.
Here's one of my finds that is both functional and a cool display item, and I don't think I paid much for it either. It's an older Vice-Grip display board that would have been in a store somewhere. I thought it would be a cool place to keep some of my Vice-Grips organized in my shop. I haven't actually mounted it anywhere yet because the garage is such a mess.
That's cool, and I'd love to have something like that - nice Bunny

We went to this one that was loaded with goods....we showed up at 7pm the night before with chinese food, signed the list and spent the night in the car. The dealers started showing at about 9pm....they were pissed In the morning we could see alot of what we wanted so we made a game plan to run and rip the tags as fast as possible. He went one way and I went the other. They usually let in the first 20 people and it's crazy because those dealers will knock you down to get what they want.
We scored big time.....we had dealers offering us money for most of our stuff. We were like That's the thing though if you want to get the good stuff you have to get there early and stay until it starts. Our usual time of showing up is around 2am.

Some are almost like yard sales with familly members just selling the relatives stuff since they died or moved to a nursing home. So they just want it gone and dont know its value or think stuff is worth alot more than it is.
Often on a 2 day or 3 day Estate sale the last day all items are all half price. Often the items have a price tag but sometimes they are open to negotiate and sometimes they are not. Theres a few estate sale agent companies that know me from frequent other visits and they will sometimes go down on price when they wouldnt with other people who ask,
The large ones came off a telegraph pole and small ones came off a telephone. Ill post them later.

Unfortunately I left most of my pretty stuff when I made a quick break from my ex husband.
I hope to get time and money to get some more antiques.

FYI - Hold onto to your Fenton - anything you are able to find right now - Fenton has been outsourced and is no longer being made here in the USA - I found this out by going to a little shop outside of my town - and they still carry some Fenton - once it sells out - they now carry Vaseline/Uranium Glass - it's a light green color - very pretty - and it caught our eye in the window - which is why we ventured into the shop - and we saw some interesting items - and got talking about "older items" - and I saw the Fenton items behind glass - and the shop owner told me about how Fenton will no longer be made here - and as a result she will no longer carry it - so consider it a "precious commodity now" - for anything you find.
Yes, they still do make Vaseline/Uranium Glass: http://www.maxframe.co
Then there is the Vaseline/Uranium Glass from the 1920's: http://glasscollectibl

You know what? The stuff you had to leave is just stuff. Your happiness is way more important. That pretty stuff can be replaced. Why don't you let me know what you like and I can keep an eye out for you.
You WILL get the time and money to replace your antiques!!!!
