Base on what criterias do you rank people?

I'm going to put this out there first before asking this question. I believe that our brainpower lasts longer than our physical appearance. Almost every nice looking person in this world will one day grow old and become unattractive but brainpower is there with them until the day they die or acquire Alzheimer. With that being said and since I am in college right now I will start up with the college environment. Does anyone here rank people based on what their major are in college - kind of like the caste system? The more difficult major require higher rank in high school - meaning people who excelled in every class in high school are allowed admission to that specific major.

I'm curious about this because whenever I walk around campus, I always see people wearing shirts that may have one of the following phrases on them "College of Liberal Art, College of Natural Science, College of Engineering, College of Business." Does this mean that they want to be ranked based on their major?

Ok ok, I will be more broad. In college, I respect those majors that have the lowest acceptance rate since those majors tend to be the hardest in the universities. In life, I respect those who have vast amount of wealth (anyone who is making 100k+ a year). There is a positive correlation between tough majors and money making power. So, in the end, I respect those who can strive through a tough major. And, they have every right to judge me and I will respect everything they say. But, for those that are in the majors deemed not beneficial for society or improving our lives, their says mean nothing.

I agree. Bill Gates, George Soros, Michael Jordan, Warren Buffet.......they all had those really hard majors didn't they. How did they ever pull if off. Dontknow
