GUN TALK: What are SDers packin'?

8,081 3,271 February 11, 2012 at 07:56 PM in Chat (3)
List what you're packin', and/or what you're looking forward to packin'.
  • Remington 870 Express Magnum 20ga
  • Springfield XD Sub–Compact 9mm

And I'm thinking about buying/building an AR–15. Big Grin Whee

Ruger LCP - Summer carry/backup gun
Glock 26 - Car/Carry
Kahr PM9- Carry
Taurus Mill Pro 45 - My nightstand
S&W SW99 9mm - Wife's nightstand
S&W 686 4" - Somewhere else in the house
Benelli Supernova - Closet
The Benelli Supernova, how is that? I was looking at picking up a shotgun/long-gun 20g or 12g, home-defense type thing. Only have a G-26 right now. Any recommendations as well? Don't want to spend too much.

Remington 870s are good. I've heard good things about Mossberg 500s, too.

Well where do I start..

1) Kahr - CM9 (Carry)
2) Glock 19 - small safe near bed
3) S&W M&P 45
4) LWRC M6A3 (5.56 Nato)
6) LWRC PSD (6.8 spc) 8.5" barrel
7) LWRC R.E.P.R. (7.62mm NATO)
8) Benelli Super Nova Tactical -12g

You can probably see I really like the line of firearms from LWRC.. Big Grin

I will soon have a Beretta 3901 12 gauge autoloader. Will be getting a hand gun further down the line after I shop around and try some out.

9 rifles (3 .22s, AR-15, 25-06, 270WM, .270, .30-30, .308),

there's:

Glock Model 22 .40 cal (qty =2)

Ruger Mark II .22
S&W model 459 9mm

Last addition....was my home made AR

I think that is all.

Benellis are great, but you pay for them. If you don't want to spend much, go with a Mossberg 500 or Remington 870.

Iagree

If you just wanna get a shotty for HD or similar, I'd go with the Mossy 500. The SuperNova is really nice, but unless you're getting a lot of use out of it, I don't think I could justify the price. It won't make anyone any deader.

I'm thinking about a revolver for my next purchase but I don't really know what I want yet. Anybody have any recommendations?

Mostly just looking for something fun to shoot. I don't want something huge but on the other hand I also don't care much if it would be a great concealed carry weapon either.
