I think I must be the only one that isn't bothered by my age, & I'm the oldest. The only time my age bothers me is when I start thinking about how long my DH & I have been together & how many more years we hopefully have left. To solve that problem I just try to not think about it. laugh out loud

Quote from Tizzylicious :
I see how not having advanced notice throws your planning off. Especially since you are paying cash for your trip. My brother is coming to town November for Tday and a Universal Studios trip. I started saving money so my trip can be paid for in cash when he gets here. I would be upset if I had all this planned out and last minute it was sprung on me that I was paying for an extra person. We're here so vent away. :comfor t:

When Express opens a new store is there anything special that goes on in store? They are opening a new one in Clearwater which isn't close but not too far away. Just wonder if it's worth going out there. :dontknow :
You will have a blast with your brother. It's nice to have time to save up. That way you can do everything you want to & not worry about how much it costs.

I was wondering the same thing about the new store. I got that email too.

Quote from leftie :
Thanks, it feels better now! Still slightly off-feeling, but I was able to shop today without holding onto my back. : lol:

You're so right! I always advise other people to stop if they are in pain or not to push too hard. And yet, I do the complete opposite. I'm itching to work out today but I think I will pass...giving myself a mani & pedi instead. : bounce:
I'm glad you're feeling better. A mani & pedi would be a much better use of your time today. nod

Quote from CrazyCatJade :
I always feel that by being here on SD, I can have much nicer stuff than I would be able to afford otherwise. With our deals and coupons and everything else, I rarely pay more for a bra than I would at Target or so, and especially with me having very large girls, you all help SO much!

Hatfields and McCoys was on the History Channel. It should have a ton of reruns going - it was immensely popular. It is 3 episodes and each episode is 2 hours. Definitely worth setting up your DVR to record : )
I'm not sure I get nicer stuff. laugh out loud I buy a lot more now, so I won't spend as much on each item as I used to. Before I met you girls, I went with quality over quantity. Now, I do a little of both. I definitely spend more than I used to. The big difference is I now have clothes that are never worn & beauty products that are never used. I used to only buy stuff as I needed it. Can you imagine? EEK! That wasn't nearly as much fun though. Stick Out Tongue

Thanks for the info on the H&M show. I'll look for it to DVR.

Quote from Tizzylicious :
November is one of my favorite times to visit the parks. Perfect weather! If you go you should have a great time. We live here and won't go near the parks in the summer. Too :censored : hot!

My vent for the day..... I was buying shorts for my girls on AE/77kids and was using Shoprunner for free 2 day shipping but forgot to sign in and realized it after the order went through like we're talking 1 second, so I immediately called CS to ask to cancel the order and was told they can't. WTF 5 seconds later and you can't cancel? Made me so angry! :bash :
I don't like going in the summer either. Unfortunately, that's when we usually have guests who want to go, so I have to go melt with them. shake head With some of them being teachers & the kids being in school, they don't really have a choice I suppose.

Sorry about the AE order. I hate it when that happens.

Quote from teenbean :
Just be sure to take plenty of pictures, especially since you don't get to see her very often.
One of my nieces that's also coming is obsessed with pictures. I'm sure she'll take a few hundred for us. I hate having my picture taken, so I have to fuss at her all the time to leave me alone. laugh out loud

Quote from IceyNiki :
Codes??? I cannot stop shopping. Two of my SAS parcels will be here today. Two will arrive Monday. I am soooo excited.
My order doesn't come until Tues, & I won't be here. Frown

Quote from leftie :
:woot : Keep it up! The scale is a great motivator - I think the numbers can be wonky sometimes. (Especially when you gain muscle.) You can gauge by how your jeans/clothes fit. : )
That's how I gauge how much I've lost. I threw out my scales years ago. For me, they were counter productive. If I didn't see positive results on the scale, I'd give up. It's better for me to aim for smaller clothes than worry about my weight.

Quote from ALVSGIRLY :
I wash mine everyday. I shouldn't, but I get sweaty when I run.
I wash my hair daily too. It's gets too oily looking, if I don't. Plus, it doesn't feel fresh. It probably wouldn't look as oily, if it wasn't trained to be washed daily. I can't tolerate it being oily long enough to try to train it any other way though.

Oh, sort of OT, but I got my legs done with laser hair removal about two weeks ago. They put me on a machine that uses radio frequencies and "damages" the hair folicle, opposed to the laser that's attracted to pigment. I already notice a small difference, and my hair is starting to fall out. They warned me I would "shed" because the follicle was damaged within the next two weeks. I highly recommend this laser to those with blonde or red hair. I guess it's some sort of recent development, but I'm happy.

Also, my groupon place rocks! I bought a groupon for lower legs, and they just doubled it to let me get my entire legs. They also having a sign that says that if we want additional sessions (at the groupon price) we can...and anyone we refer will also get the same price. I may be getting a whole lot of hair removal done!
Thanks for the review. I want to have this done sometime too.

YES, you're right. I meant to write about 1 oz per day. 182.5 days in a year, 128 oz. in the gallon. 1.41 oz per day...that does seem like a lot. That's like a shot glass (1.5 oz) full of shampoo every day!
i thought you meant per day! it's actually the inverse of that tho, 0.70 fl oz per day, but only if you wash your hair every day. i would guess it's about an ounce per use if you wash every 1-2 days. either way it's a lot!

one of my express orders fr yesterday shipped! Whee no points from it yet. i'm guessing bc i made 2 orders yesterday. Doh guess i'll have to call again... (i never learn)

technically i have all month to use my bday codes. i guess i'll wait...
Just don't wait until the last minute. I traded a $5 Amazon GC for a Bday code and while I was farking around, it expired 9pm PST Facepalm

I just got 5 of my new bras! So pretty and bright! I'm excited Teehee!!!
woot I can't wait to get mine too! I was just in store today and they sure are bright. I'm a bit annoyed that so many of the styles have crystals on them now... I mean, I like blingy boobies as much as the next person, but I don't like all the bumps - especially when they don't add to the design.
Bra Try-ons
Incredible push-up racerback. I can see how this would feel soo comfortable.. but they don't make it in 32DD, just 34D - still too big. A shame.
VS plunge Multi-way. Could only try on 34D... Does not seem as good as the previous strapless. The band does not stay close to the torso and they took away the rubberized things that held it up so well. Will re-try in exact size ordered from online.
Showstopper Multi-way. Good coverage, would be really smooth under a top- but without rubber holding it up, it's just going to slide down. Also, without push-up, it's not going to provide much in the way of support for the girls.
VS Deep V . Lots of potential, seems very comfortable as well, but again couldn't try it on in exact size. Girls seemed to stay separated and felt supported but not pushed out. The idea of the "deep V" is pretty worthless in it's execution here.

I tried on Alvsy's Express Strapless ruched tube dress and OMG I heart that thing. The fabric, the draping, the thickness of the lining on the top- fantastic! VS could learn a thing or two about dress construction from them.

I'll be getting it in blue!
I totally understand what Nerdicus was saying about needing the stretch. When it came to the strapless ruched tube, I could do XS or S, but when it came to that striped dress ( no longer on site?), 2 was too tight to zip at the top! Guess we need the stretch Coverlaugh

All I need to know is... what price should I wait for? At $70 + tax... I have a $15 off, but will there come a time when I can use the Q AND that dress will be on sale? Scratchchin

I'm sorry to hear your back is acting up again. I was hoping it was a one time thing. Frown Those grabbers are the greatest things ever. I couldn't survive without them.
hug Thanks. Me too. Felt stiff in this tiny area, so went to do some stretches to relax it and whoooooooooa no, it is clearly not a muscle issue Frown (and clearly I still haven't had it looked at Embarrassment ). I tell you, I have such an appreciation now for people with chronic back pain/problems. Also, I should clarify that I don't have a problem with age in numbers, I just have a problem with my body feeling old with all of the aches and pains. Feels like this vessel is falling apart .

I'm going to need one of those grabber things this week! laugh out loud Actually, I may go out and buy one of those big pregnancy body pillows today b/c sleeping last night was painful. shake head
. . .
Rite Aid sells them- it's in their AS SEEN ON TV section. About $10 ? I need to get one of those body pillows too, but not for my legs. I need it so DH doesn't roll up the comforter and snuggle with it while I freeze.

I saw both yesterday! I love them both! The pink dress is super cute.

I did try the last dress. It bunched too much on me at the waist and made me look heavy. I tried an xs and it was too big. It runs large because of the bunching.

They are bright. I need to order some normal colors too Teehee! The crystals aren't very practical. They are pretty sometimes. One of mine has them. It's a pink da demi!

It is an awesome dress! See why I bought all colors Teehee! I would wait for a bogo sale or for it to go 30% off. You can use coupons on it when it is on sale, just not clearance. I think I paid around $30 for mine.

I imagine for everyone. It sounds like those package inserts instead of the email certs.
