You're too cute, BQ!
That hurts your back? Really? You should have that checked out. That does not sound normal, especially as young as you are.
Anyone else think they should find a better shorthand for that other than "STD?"
And we wish you the best Nessy - we support and
But I think I figured out what the problem is. The docs always told me my pain should be more severe than it has been. For years it has only acted up every few years. But I've been working my ass off and haven't been able to do any leg or core exercises in close to a year. I think the lack of attention to my body has caused my muscles to shrink, and they just need to be built back up to provide the support they use to be. Damnit! That means I'm going to be this size the rest of my life.

I know I trust them a lot less than I used to.

That seems a little extreme.
and in my case, this year my insurance switched to the "pay $2k upfront, then everything is free" plan
so i get to pay face value for every dr appt and prescription until i hit $2k, and then everything will be free.
so i'll start sitting pretty with free dr visits and scripts around....November

I usually get recommendations from friends/family. Plus they have so many websites now where you can get all kinds of info about doctors in your area.
Just seems like a better option than writing off every doctor that walks the earth because of one bad experience.
i'm betting he had at least two or three bad experiences before he wrote off doctors for good
I did have a bad experience once when a Dr. Lectured me about premarital sex.

I'm going to take up yoga since i don't really have time to spend 2 hours in a gym any more. and if i join a gym i get addicted. I start running 10 miles a day and then doing weights. that's probably why my back is atrophying now. i've always done gyms, or fighting, or manual labor, but living in a place where exercise is determined by the season is starting to take its toll.

A doctor lectured you on premarital sex? OMG. Was he a preacher in disguise?
Just... tossin' that out there...
"Wow, this yoga stuff isn't as asinine as I thought!"
Seriously though, yoga is awesome. I'd still be doing it if I could afford the classes. I took it for two years when I was 20, and it made SUCH a difference. I wasn't even doing that much other exercise, but it really improved a lot of things.
