One of our neighbors just had his roof replaced and the other is currently having his siding replaced due to some hail storm that must have happened when we were out of town.
Unless pea sized- penny sized hail can do damage? We did have a few storms last year with that, but I can't imagine it actually doing anything.
Our slate siding is all cracked and broken in a lot of places so we were going to replace it with vinyl siding, but one of the neighbors said we should file a claim since it was more than likely caused by the hail.
Does that even sound possible?

I had that happen once, but with geese! You know where Arapahoe Rd and Clinton is? There was a whole group of them that just decided to walk across Arapahoe Rd in a snow storm. Across six lanes of traffic!

Mine ended up being covered under wind/hail damage, and she seems to get a lot of the same weather as I do.

And especially with hail storms, they're usually "catastrophe" claims, so having a claim for a hail storm won't count against you, which is nice.

Didn't have a vent in there before. Told roof guy, he put the vent in while they were doing the roof, and since the other guys were already taking out the old fixture, it was minimal effort to add the duct.

You should, especially since you're looking at getting it replaced. Would be nice if they'd pay all or a good chunk of it!
