the whole system is a scam
if you need food get a job
its simple
people get on welfare, get comfortable and have 12 kids all while my tax money feeds them

I am not trying to troll your cereal preference though, as it seems that is how you are taking it...just putting that out there for the record!
What you don't know is that I went and lived on the reservation for a couple of years when I was growing up....part my choice cause I wanted to see what it was like and part my parents choice to let me see how hard people had it and to straighten me out in some ways. Holy sh!t. Talk about poor! The worst part is how badly managed the BIA really is. Badly managed and crooked as hell, just like in the 1800's. I came back with my eyes opened, ready to 'work hard' at school like never before (to say that was 'work' after how hard I worked on the rez is a joke really) and apply myself, look for and reach my potential in everything I did and be a success. Yeah, I may not be poor and am far from it but I also didn't take any government handouts that I qualify for because I didn't want them and didn't think I needed them. It would have also just reduced me to another statistic of needing government money to succeed as an AI, and I wasn't about to let myself be labeled like that. But I've lived as the poorest of the poor, really dirt poor down to the actual dirt on the floor. I know what poor is and what it's like to live that way. No one needs to tell me what being poor is or what it's like. I have lived it.

To your question though.....does anyone you know really take 'only' the 'can I afford it' question into account because they really don't have the money to buy a $2 box of cereal and pay the light bill? I don't think so. I bet it's more like I look at some things, like 'do I want to pay that kind of price for that? Maybe I want to put those dollars more towards X' Or sometimes I use the reward system with myself. I like to eat healthy so I'll tell myself....'if I don't buy that then I can put that $2 towards those cowboy boots or X because I'm sticking with my healthy plan.' Maybe I see it differently but then I'm a different person, so that should be expected.
Also, SD very often has deals on the front page through Amazon for boxes of cereal that usually come out to less than two bucks a box. (Paying anymore than that is a rip-off, IMO.)
So yeah, I agree with 808lurker that if you have to sit there and think about a $2 box of cereal because it's going to affect your budget that much, you're very likely not paying much, if any (I'd wager any), taxes.
In other words, he was saying OP really shouldn't be spouting off about people on welfare because he's not contributing anyway.
But OP's a troll, as are all of his threads, so he's going to regardless.
Anyone try this new cereal with chocolate inside? I forget the name but it's rectangular with chocolaty inside. I think it's from kellogs, tastes pretty good.

OMG... you make the vomit face at Cap'n Crunch but you eat that stuff?!
I did taste it, though. My BIL bought a box, and told my kid he could have some, and I kept getting the "mommy, you have to try this, it's so good!" I didn't like it...
It had a weird aftertaste.

Kellogs Krave! That's it. I eat it without milk as a snack, I like it.
Best ever! I have like 8 boxes of it in my pantry right now.
Your belief that people have children for the welfare benefits is false. They have children because they didn't use contraception, can't get abortions, or they want a child because they think a c hild will bring them happiness and love (like a pet dog) or will get their boyfriend to stay with them. As for foreigners having anchor babies here, it happens but not nearly as much as you fearmongers think.
