uploading photo to facebook without it sending a notification to people

I tried to use google to find this but the few suggestions I found I think are outdated because they don't match up with what I am able to see. Is there a way to change the settings so that when I upload a photo it doesn't make a post that I just uploaded a photo (or send an email to friends or whatever else facebook does)?

Go here: https://www.facebook.com/settings...ifications

Change the settings under "facebook" and uncheck everythin you dont want to get notified about. You can do the same for the other stuff as well.

Getting an email notification for a friend uploading a photo could also have been the result of some action on their part. They could have tagged friends in the photo and then untagged them or they could have done something else that generated a notification; it may not be a setting in your account but that's the place to start.
