RETIRED Marlboro Outwit the West Funny Farm

When I was working, I'd take my xtras to work and set them on the counter for others to take. One gal took a few home and asked her daughter to choose which one she wanted for a school pencil bag. The daughter was thrilled because she hadn't been able to find a pencil bag she liked elsewhere. The consignment shop I go to generally doesn't take them but they often take the totes.

I still have some dehoarding to do. The worst part for me is the boy's stuff they left behind and anything to do with paper.

Just got a phone call from Promotion Mechanics informing me that I'm the Grand Prize winner of the HomeFurnishings.com "Inspired Living Begins Here" Sweepstakes.

"GRAND PRIZE: The Grand Prize winner will receive a $5,000 Home Furnishings Shopping Spree, awarded in the form of a $5,000 credit at the participating HomeFurnishings.com furniture retailer of winner's choice."

Today I was driving to WOK and called home on my cell phone because I had forgotten something. I got a busy signal, so I called back ten minutes later. Hubby said he was on the phone with a man from New York who called to tell me I won the Road to Aspen Sweepstakes.
I just got home. This is my e-mail:

You recently participated in the Road to Aspen Sweepstakes. This is an official notification that you have been selected as the potential GRAND PRIZE winner.

GRAND PRIZE: 5-day/4-night trip for two (2) to the 2012 Food & Wine Classic in Aspen. OMG...I am flabbergasted and shakin' in my boots! I had just mentioned to hubby a couple days ago that this would be a fun prize to win. Most of my family still lives in Denver, so I may get to see them too! I can't remember which of my facebook friends first sent me the link to this contest, but a number of us have been sending it back and forth in the last few weeks. Thank you for sharing...and I wanted to share this with my FF friends.
