Hi all,
I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.
Everyone is welcome!
I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.
This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.
So, I hope it catches on !

For music buffs it looks great. For me, not so much. I'll see what the weekly prizes are, but truthfully, I have no use for vinyl records or a guitar which are the ones shown in the picture.
It may not be a voting contest but it seems to be a daily entry I won't be making. Maybe there'll be something in the Fall.
I don't even consider the trip as a possible prize.

Thanks everyone! Had to work, but other than those few hours, it was a great B-Day!!
I've never given her anything and said "This is for X" or "This is for Y." It's always her decision. And yes, sometimes I've disagreed, but never told her. From the beginning it's been her choice because they're her kids and grandkids. This is the first time it's truly bitten me in the butt. But still, it's her son's family not getting the GC so that she can get another pair of shoes. And truly, I can't begrudge her the new footware. Does she need them? No. Does she want them? Yes. And she's had little enough in her life that she just wants and doesn't need, so I can live with this. I guess. But it always comes down to the same thing -- I HATE SHOES ! ! !

Hi again from Aspen! Our time here is winding down...it went sooo fast! We spent three days watching some of the top chefs in the country perform their culinary skills, just like the cooking shows you see on TV. Each day there was a Grand Tasting in an enormous tent with more wine than than you could possibly imagine, food samples from all across the country, and chocolate galore!
David Venable from QVC was super gracious, and we watched his show filmed live yesterday. His entourage was huge. I spent some time chatting with some of his crew by the pool, which was fun. Throughout the years, doing promotions, they found that people were hoping for the cash equivalent of the prize. They included some cash as part of the prize in this, and other recent contests, to cover taxes, to encourage the winner to take the trip.
We went out for dinner last night, and spent a bundle...prices not listed on the menu and everything ala carte. Terrific food, but something we normally would not be able to do.

Next stop: the mile high city, where I get to be a happy camper, thanks to Coleman.
