RETIRED Marlboro Outwit the West Funny Farm

Hi all,
I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.
Everyone is welcome!
I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.
This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.
So, I hope it catches on !
So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

OK who's up for making Funny Farm Fliers and we can give out prizes to ourselves
Just enjoy her while you can.
Azizi will probably help her even more as time goes on. He may let her eat his treats, give her 1st chance at any food, snuggle with her, in addition to helping her groom. It is very touching to watch. He may not want you to bring in another cat. You'll be able to tell....
CBB was still comparatively young so it was worth taking the chance if the vet said it was a possible solution. You just can't second guess something like that and you did what you were told was the best choice. If it had been a success you would have had years more to love her. You shouldn't regret doing what you hoped would keep her with you. With Heather, as with Miss K, you knew you had no option but to let her go.
Azizi, bless his heart, is a cat's cat. He puts up with me because he knows I feed him, but he'd rather be with another cat than a human. (Except when it's cold.

VERY glad to hear how much better Shelby is doing, Jules. Here's hoping that all her problems will just be a distant memory in a few months.
My time lately has been taken up by visits to veterinarians. First Miss Kitty, my 17 year old beauty, developed another urinary tract infection. Got that cleared up and then she started having breathing problems. My regular vet thought it was another polyp in one of her nasal passages but couldn't find anything on the x-ray. He sent me to a specialist who unfortunately diagnosed the problem – cancer of the larynx. I'm dosing her with steroids in hopes of reducing the size of the tumor, but haven't seen any improvement so it doesn't seem to be working.
I know – she's seventeen – but I expect my cats to live until the ripe old age of 20, plus this illness just showed up "out of the blue." No warnings, no slow development, it's just there. And yes, my heart is breaking, but I've lost cats before and I can deal with it. Eventually.
You remember the $50 worth of pork I won last Saturday? The coupons showed up yesterday – FedEx'ed – and I gave them to my sister this morning when she came to visit. She was upset because they specified "fresh" pork and she doesn't want to cook it. I suggested she give it to her son-in-law who is his family's cook, let him prepare it and give her half. That would be a win-win for each of them, right? There was a certain gleam in her eye as she pondered the possibility. We'll see what she does but the coupons don't expire until the end of the year, so she'll have until then to figure out how she can get to keep it all.
Oh, and I have to tell you about her friends' reactions to all the stuff I give her. They're worried that I am somehow being scammed. I must be paying a lot of money to "win" these prizes and they think she should intervene before I lose all my savings. I gather they comment, "That's a shame" and "Oh, my" a lot. She keeps telling them that I'm not paying anybody anything to get the prizes; that companies just give the things away as advertisements, but people just don't believe her. None of my friends have ever questioned the way I grab all these goodies, but they know me and know I'd never "pay to win". She says she keeps telling them that it's not a problem, but they keep telling her I'll be broke before the year is out and she ought to do something. Have any of you ever gotten that reaction?
Well, time to let you get back to your real lives. So, until my next twelve page dissertation, win big ! !
I am really so sorry about Miss Kitty. I had an angora who was young and it was devastating. then a 19-yr. old black cat who was just like a dog. That was bad. Wish they could live longer. I don't know what to say to make you feel better except I am truly sorry.
Whenever I have to get something notarized at the bank for a win they always worry and ask me if I am sure I want to do this as nothing is for nothing. and friends also worry. I guess until you actually participate and actually win a few things you do then feel assured that nothing will happen.
they gave them away hourly
It wasn't an hourly entry
I won 2 and only entered a few times
didn't get email yet
I haven't heard anyone getting one
Have a wonderful Day!

That's funny about the bank. "Nothing is for nothing." That must be how my sister's friends think of it. They just don't realize what they're missing.
