Well, maybe I still am...

But today I made my first deposit of a paper check into my online bank account using my cell phone to snap a pic of the check. Whee

I'm using ING...been waiting a while for them to roll out their mobile deposits.

Must be younger than me, my cell phone doesn't even have a camera and even if it did I wouldn't trust online banking.
Care to explain to me how taking a pic of a check and uploading it to your bank via 3G/LTE is less secure than any other method of deposit? Scratchchin

You're just lucky I dont do the grocery shopping! Wink

The only situation I can think of to get me perma banned from a store would involve some kinda physical confrontation. My level of indifference was honed in my years of retail.

The amount of times I had screaming customers because their warranty\service plan didnt cover them dropping or the magic broken laptop screen. There was a situation where a lappy screen was broken and I told the 18-20 something that it wasnt covered. Her behemoth of a mother came up screaming and I looked at the mole above her eyebrow ridge and thought phuc me running is that thing ready to explode if she screams any more. After 3-5 mins of her spewing her venom and not getting any reaction from me other than my slow blinking she told me not to look at her like that. I still laugh about those days.

Now road rage is a totally different phucing animal! Smilie
I'm sort of a Philly Chica - if I can drive in downtown Philly like they do - yep - come up against me in bad traffic where people are trying to cut me off - same with downtown Washington, D.C. - puk that - I drive like the Roman's do in Rome - and puk that - if someone like a Taxi Cab decides THEY are going to try to cut me off in my Lincoln Nono2 I do not typically do road rage, but don't puk with me on the road - I'm older - I have better insurance "Green Fried Tomato's" Bleh Bleh

Still want to play with me Coverlaugh

One is used to capture information in written form, one is used to capture information in audio form.

Each UPC that can be scanned for purchase is an item. The cashier still has to count them even if they don't scan them. If you have five cans of beans, it is five items.

Exceptions are bundled/bound multiple items such as a flat of 20 cat food cans. The flat has its own UPC code.
What about a bulk bag I put 6 rolls in? Cashier still has to count, 1 UPC code.

"6 rolls" as in donuts? If they are to be sold in multiples of 6, they would be one item. The cashier is only counting to verify you aren't cheating the store by taking too many.

No, I was thinking like hard rolls. Like the ones you go to the bakery and they're in plastic bins and you use the claw thing to put as many as you want in a bag.

Bakeries have express lanes? Dontknow

Six items because they are sold separately. One UPC code but manually multiplied on the register.

That would be the same as hand picking tomato's and putting them in a plastic bag in the veggie department - it would count as "one item" - but canned items are not the same thing you do not hand pick them and put them in a bag - such as tomato's and/or rolls like you are stating - and either of these two mentioned items are either weighed or counted and charged by the number - but still need bagged - because of "sanitary reasons" - most would never put a couple of "rolls" in their cart - nor tomato's - without bagging them first. Most different than a " bulk item" already pre-wrapped as such as well.

She is talking about the Bakery Dept. within the Grocery Store - where you are able to pick out rolls and put them into a plastic bag - and either put a twist tie around it - or tie it shut yourself - and no there is no UPC code on them - but if you self check yourself out - you are able to find the code for such an item - same as banana's or other items that may not have a UPC code on them; in order to ring up how many you have in the "bag".

Cause once you ditch brick and mortar banks there's no other way to turn a check into cash.

You sign the check, another friend signs the check, deposits it into their B&M Bank, and gives you the cash for said check; you have avoided this situation and now have your "cash"; as long as said person trusts you and your check; and has enough money to cover "you".
