I can understand that. I went to Spain by myself (though not the entire time) and I don't speak much Spanish so it was rough. I would travel alone again, just not somewhere I don't speak the language. It's so hard to find people with the the money, time and motivation to travel.

I think i am the opposite - DF and I are having such a hard time planning the wedding because neither of us (expected for him but weird for me) knew what the hell we wanted in a wedding. I have never had any "dream wedding" in all my life. I really just want to be married, but I do want to have all my friends and family together in 1 place at 1 time. Most of my college friends (actually, all of them) are not around here, because I did not go to college where I live now. I miss hanging out with them and would love to have a mini-reunion. This may sound vain, but I also want all the photos - I love photos and think I would be sad if I didn't have photos of our wedding reception, etc. It wouldn't be the same if we just went to the courthouse. I don't think we care that much about the specifics tho - as long as we have one and it's not a complete disaster, we'll be relieved.

In this whole process, because I'm a bit of a control freak, there have been times when I would freak out because something is not ideal. I have to keep reminding myself (DF reminds me) that it will all be okay and the day will go by great. And after all the craziness, we will be married. Of course getting married freaks me out - up until maybe 2 years ago, I didn't even know if I wanted to get married. But being with DF has changed my feelings and while the idea of marriage still freaks me out, the idea of being with him forever calms me down and makes me feel better. I don't know if that makes sense, but that is how I feel, and that's how I know he is right for me.

I think in the Chinese culture the older people follow the traditions, which is why your parents still send the red envelopes even when they do not attend. I would not worry about that if I was getting married because people do not follow that in my culture. I would not either if a random relative or long-lost friend sent me an invitation. However, I would send a gift/money to someone that I was closer to even if I did not attend. I have seen people attend the wedding and not bring anything. I know people order online and will send the gifts directly to the bride & groom's home. However, a lot of people are just not bringing gifts anymore. #SoSad

It is very relaxing. Last time I was there, we snuck over to the all-inclusive resort for meals a few times. I was so afraid, but everyone else was very cool about it. Fun times.

Holiday 2006 - Black Canvas Trio Bags: Very sturdy. The largest one I used to use as a carry-on bag before I purchased a spinner bag. It is a duffle-type bag. The medium bag a smaller duffle-type bag. The smallest bag is the shape of the LV Speedy, probably a little smaller. I use this one as my grocery/drugstore bag. All had gold-plated name plates. I believe the two larger ones both had removeable shoulder straps. (The largest one definitely had one.) I just snapped a photo of the smallest one. (The other two are in storage.) I own 2 large ones and one of each of the other two sizes.

Holiday 2007 - Black Nylon Trio Bags: They were basically the same shapes as the 2006 bags. Not true...I think the largest one and the smallest one were the same sizes as the previous year; however, I believe the medium size is a Hot Pink Tote that is the same size as the medium size "Spring Break" bag. This is also the season that the Hot Pink Rollerbag was offered. There was also a Black w/Light Pink Trim Canvas Garmet Bag that was offered right before the Trios. The trios of this season were not as well made as the previous year. I gifted one to my friend, she had a problem with the zipper a couple of times. I have never used any of these bags, except the garment bags. No picture of the trio because they all are in storage.

Spring Break 2008 - Creme & Hot Pink Trim Trio Bags: I am not sure if VS dubbed them the "Spring Break" bags or not. They were available in April 2008. I have never used these bags either. I own two of the largest ones and one of each of the other two sizes.

Holiday 2008 - Black & Leopard Nylon Trio Bags: These are the bags that Annicus was nice enough to find on the Bay for us. I did not like the shape of these bags at all. That did not stop my from ordering two of the largest and one of the medium bags. This was the last holiday that the Trios were offered.

not sure if it's been posted here before but, interesting article [squidoo.com] about body types. i'm definitely a T with my wide shoulders and narrow hips. it's really pronounced with the express boatneck dress. i'll post a pic sometime when i get it off my phone.

Interesting article. I've always believed that I was an A or Pear shaped, but according to that article, my shoulders and hips are the same exact measurement. Next assumption is H, but I'm not stick straight because of my waist. So I measure waist, it's 10 inches smaller....but then that doesn't mean I'm an X cause I'm definitely not curvy up top.

I love horizontal stripes, and never thought they looked too bad on me (I could be crazy though). This was pretty amusing too: "Take the hip (or shoulder) measurement and subtract 10 (assuming that you're working in inches). This will give you the approximate waist measurement for this person to be considered an X (within a couple of inches)." My shoulders came to 44 and my hips 42, which would be a 32 waist at their closest prediction, but my waist is 28. I guess I'm kind of a freak show.

i didn't know your shoulders and hips are the same! there are actually a lot more - i've seen 8, or 12 different shapes. maybe you belong to one of those!

And OMG! to your pics!!! Definitely makes a huge difference. You look like a swimmer in the boatneck dress. Horizontal dress brings out your curves! And looks great!

I was also surprised shoulders and hips were the same! I measured twice to make sure the tape was right! I wonder if I've been wearing the wrong stuff? I thought I always looked fine...? I stay away from horizontal stripes because they make me dizzy and I generally feel fat in them. I generally go with anything that cinches waist when going out, but A-line skirt to hide hips/midsection when needed and flared/boot cut pants always. Weight gain goes straight to stomach/butt. Where to find more shapes?
