I got the new express fall catalog. There's a short sequin dress in there that I really like for $79.90. Kurt than that, I'm no really crazy about anything (yet). The pictures are taken in Chicago. I really like them and the way they incorporate the crowd in the bean. It's worth taking a second look. It also make me really homesick Frown

Did you grow up in the city or suburbs? I love the city. I think I'd want to live there if we ever moved.

Western suburbs. I can get more specific if you PM me. The city's a great place, but with kids, suburban schools are the way to go. Most people I know (including my parents) live in the city during college and early marriage years. Then, as soon a their kids get a little older, they move to the suburbs. Both my parents worked in the city (commuting is really easy) but kept me where there were great schools. I'm glad you get to visit so much Smilie

Also, the catalog came with coupons for 60/150, 30/100, and 10/30. There was a second coupon for 75/250. Both valid through 10/8

In the bottom of the coupons, it says you can text SWANK (10/30) or WEAR (75/250) to 397737 get the codes on your phone. I just did it.

I was wondering about the schools. If we ever did move I'll probably have some questions.

Illinoisl schools treated me VERY well, but they vary a lot. There are certain city ones that are good, but most of the top ones are in the suburbs. My dad taught at Chicago public schools and did a lot with their unions and organization. Even he moved me out. West and North are richer areas with better schools. You pay for what you get. Definitely PM me if you need anything.

Probably. Give them your reward number at check in. If you don't get points, call them after your stay and say you forgot. I have done this.

One of my dearest friends got engaged a month or so ago and she's shopping for wedding dresses online. She's been asking me for thoughts, but since I have no experience, I wanna turn to you gals and ask some basic questions.

She's thinking about getting something from somewhere in Europe that includes tailoring in the cost of the dress for approx $200 total.

I told her it's best to try a dress on before deciding for look/fit/feel purposes. AND in case measurements aren't consistent or what nerdicus went through OMG
I just think fees for return, unable to return and have to resell, and not knowing the material and how it looks on her.

She's looking at this site http://www.ericdress.com/. Anyone have experiences with shopping for a dress online....?

I'm kinda against for the listed reasons (partially). But she's cheap and I can see her only wanting to spend $200 on a dress.
