HP $120 desktop fiasco......

So who got in on the $3000 PC for $120 pricing mistake that happened this past weekend? The orders were cancelled and people rec'd a refund of their $$ on top of a $200 coupon off of the HP store (no minimum purchase)

Love to hear what you all are getting with your free $200 from HP.

I ended up getting that wireless HDMI thing. It's not something I would every buy with my own money so I thought it would be a good "free" purchase. I will actually use it though.

Has anyone noticed the hp site, the monitors price skyrocketed http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/...s/Monitors the 23" IPS is now $400 this is why i said don't wait on your coupon.

Edit: Seems like they adjusted the price on that monitor, its 359 now, still 100 more than it was few hours ago.

Yup HP is trying to prevent further loss by jacking up the regular price. I was browsing the website trying to find something to use the coupon on and all of sudden the regular price on all monitors just went up by $100, happened about less than 2 hours ago.

Which is odd considering they knew how many coupons they were going to issue so they should have known their exposure. Perhaps they thought everyone was going to use it on shitty overpriced computers instead?
