Dog chew toys that don't get them in trouble: Add your dog's favorites! (Thanks, daisee)

1. Fun stuff
- We leave empty cardboard boxes for the dogs to chew up. Also these loofah bones (cleans their teeth while they rip them apart) and TONS of cat toys (with catnip). (from veritableqndry)

2. Hard-to-destroy stuff

-At dollar tree they carry "milkbone" toys... she beats the hell out of them and still they hold up. (not to mention their only a buck if they destroy them) (from wakethewicked2)

- I've had good luck with these -- the avatar dog has destroyed everything but this kind. They come in different sizes and shapes and you can put treats inside for them to dig out: http://www.petmountain.com/produc...-kong.html . I get mine at a local farm store, but I'm sure you could get them at places like Pets Mart if you don't want to buy online. (from callpocket)

- Here are a couple that have survived Sophie so far:
  • Busy Buddy bouncy bone - We gave up on the rawhide inserts. She rips those out in seconds but likes the toy without them anyhow and cannot kill it.)
  • Everlasting treat ball -Again she pulls out the expensive inserts right off the bat...but she likes bouncing the toy. You can also hide dog kibble in the middle for the dog to try to get out, which entertains him for awhile. She hasn't managed to rip this one at all yet even though it feels soft and flexible.
  • Jolly Ball: - Ours is bigger than the one at this link. It's hysterical to see her stick her snout in the hole and wave the ball in the air. It's bigger than her head. She runs around the house with it on her snout, growling and acting like a maniac. I don't know why she can't chew it up, but she can't.
  • Then there are big Nylabones, which she can kill eventually. But they take a long time to die. (from olu)

My dog cleaned out the litter box again last night. We have the Breeze litter box ,that uses pellets , in a bathroom. Woke up this morning to find pellets all over the hallway carpet. He apparently eats the shht and spits the pellets out.

So, looks like I have to lock up the cat in the bathroom with the litter box each night...damn dog.

I saw a really cool thing where your kitty wears a special collar that only allows your kitty into the litterbox, but I can't remember what it's called! It works with existing litterboxes too.

On another note, I only have cats, no dogs, but my Ariel keeps eating her toys. She has glittery little poofs and they make her so happy that she chews on them while she eats!

I purchased the purina doggie ice cream (pb flavor) last night when I ran to the store since Tails was SOO good at my brothers house.

He kept dragging it onto the carpet, leaving it there, going to Nate to beg for Mickey Dees or the ham sandwhich I made for myself. I would get up, put it back in his dish, and the game would start over again.

Good to know there are 3 ice creams left in the freezer.

Frosty paws?? Bear loves that, but I have never been able to find the pb flavor. Original is the only flavor around here.

Hoagie ate my cat's vomit. I saw it and ran to get paper towels, but my flurry of excitement got him interested in what was going on. He quickly saw the pile and gobbled it down. Luckily I just needed to santize the area. He saved me from having to use a couple paper towels.

This week's near misses:

1. DD looked all over for her ballet slipper, found it between Sophie's paws, well licked but not yet eaten
2. DH found a black printer ink cartridge on the beige carpet, nibbled but not ripped open. (Whew)
