The one new show that I really like (have only seen two new shows so far) is Major Crimes, they've really broken out of the old show and come up with fresh and very interesting story lines. Emily Owens M.D. looks really good (from the trailer) but doesn't air until Oct. 16.
The only shows that look remotely interesting IMHO, are Revolution (maybe, needs more than one episode to judge), Vegas (Mike Chiklis/Dennis Quaid).
Of the rest...Arrow (doesn't air until Oct.), 666 Park Avenue (maybe, interesting premise), Elementary (UK Sherlock ripoff), Last Resort (?), The Mindy Project.

We're still watching Major Crimes, Vegas and Elementary. Haven't yet watched Emily Owens M.D., which started later than the others but do have it set to record.

Actually getting into Guys with Kids. Took me a few episodes.
Instead I have resorted to watching old episodes of The Rifleman, Emergency, and Bonanza on Me TV
Last Resort is on right now. Not really watching it, but again there's really nothing else on. I really can not get interested in the show. Very tempted to turn to re-runs of ALF.
Revolution is losing me too, probably will switch back to Hawaii 5-0.
Can't get interested in Arrow either.
Those are all the new shows I've tried. Glad to see The Walking Dead return, so far season 3 almost makes me forget how crappy season 2 was.

It's in its second season, but if people aren't watching Homeland, might want to check it out. I didn't notice it until a few months ago.
They're not all slapstick and campy, there are some really serious and very good episodes. Can't be serious and scary all the time, a little camp breaks up the show some. And until you get to David Tennet you haven't seen the best of the show.
I started writing a longer description but figured that part would be on Youtube. Sure enough:

"He never raised his voice. That was the worst thing. The fury of the Time Lord...."
With the money the Hoffmans spent on new equipment this year I could probably retire comfortably.
Revolution - a keeper. I like what they are doing. I'll be sad to see it cancelled as big budget shows like this rarely last. It could be the next West Wing in regards to longevity.
666 Park Avenue - a keeper. It's an eery story arch with a lot of potential but my feeling is, where is it going? Is it one long drawn out "we do the devil's work" kind of story or is it concise Stephen King type story that only is designed to last about 2-3 years? I don't know but like the stories so far.
Last Resort - a keeper. I'm enthralled by this show with only one question. How long can they be stranded on an island that isn't mysterious (Lost) and that isn't filled with fantasy (Fantasy Island)? I can't see this show going more than than 2-3 seasons, much like 666 Park Avenue as both have a finite storyline IF they don't fluff it to high hell.
Tried - Guys with Kids, Animal Practice, and See Dad Run - all fails. The latter most my wife digs, I find it derivative Nick crap.
Never tried - Vegas. Just not enough time on the DVR and not going to On Demand. Will catch this during the summer as we usually don't have anything of interest to watch then unless we go back to old TV shows we were curious about.

I stopped watching Last Resort but hadn't deleted the unwatched shows yet. So with nothing to do the other day, watched one more and was hooked. Saved them so DH can catch up too.
Revolution, still watching but still not sure where they're going with it.
