Amelia was born this morning at around 9:30 AM. She's not quite ready for fishslapping lessons yet, but she will get there...

Mom and baby are both doing fine, although Amelia is going to be in the NICU for a little while because she was very impatient to make her big debut and arrived about 7 weeks early.
More pics to come soon I'm sure.

Most people never get to experience holding their baby when they are that small. Most people don't get to experience seeing their baby undergo the same kind of transformation that we got to see. So while it was really scary at the time, now that she's older and we can look back on the whole experience we are really glad that we got to have that extra bit of time with her. Having started off so tiny and vulnerable it makes it seem like she has come so much farther...
