Target Chit Chat

This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I've seen a few people in here say they had halls bogos... are they worded to work on 20ct sugar free kind? There is FARR 9/27 on that kind at WAGs, so wondering if they would work for that

Oh and Setsail I'm so impressed with that product I went to BRU and got the sensitive body wash and lotion hug
hug I'm glad it's working for him. Costs more than the (free) J&J and Aveeno but I felt better using Mustela when my babies were newborns, didn't have all the same additives. I use the Aveeno baby wash on the toddler, the older kids use whatever they want. laugh out loud

georgiasurro, congrats!!

eta we couldn't tell by u/s for our oldest because she has her legs crossed at the ankle but for the other 3, we knew. For me, I liked knowing I was having a boy after having two girls, and then for ds#2 I knew whether to hang onto the outgrown boy clothes or rebuy girl clothing. laugh out loud

I have also heard from someone that there is a tablet avilable to change the sex from girl to boy if taken within the first 9 weeks

I don't know anything about a product that claims to do that, but biologically that's not so possible. You are either XX or XY and that is decided when Ms. Egg chooses Mr. Spermy nod

And the fact that you would want to take a pill in attempt to genetically alter your baby is just plain not right, IMO.

what a scam....no one knows the sex in the first 5 weeks, so why take some pill to try to change the sex of something you don't know Confused

Yeah, I had to drive from Arlington, Wa. which is about 1hr 40 mins away. So I left at 1:30pm and got there at 3:30pm.. Gotta love Seattle traffic.. LOL

Walmart photo op - They have set up a booth and it has the "green screen" they ask your daughter what she wants to do and what photo of Miley she would like to be with. Then they edit it so it looks like your daughter is on stage with Miley. Not that great IMHO, but the kids really really liked it.. They give you a "back stage" pass type thing, to wear around your neck, and on the back, it has a "code" that after the concert you can go to walmart.com/blah blah and download the picture.. The kids liked walking around with these badges with Miley on them around their neck.. made them feel important.

Second thing - you will most likely get an email the morning of the concert, telling you about the opportunities in the Pre Miley party.. they had face painting, Hair spray painting - don't ask... lol... games and other stuff... That opened at 4pm... ALOT of people were there.

Which venue are you going to see her at?

Oh and prices for things on sale:
Shirts $35
Sweatshirt $65
GlowStick $10 ( i had bought some at Target for a $1 in the dollar spot and forgot them at home.. argh) Most kids had these
Poster $10
Program $20
Keychain $8 (the cheap .$1 kind) not a chance

My camera's batteries died, out in the parking lot after taking pics of them beside her banner... so had to use the dumb camera phone... So be sure to CHARGE your Batteries for your Camera!!!!!
Thanks for all the info!! heart
We are seeing her at The Oracle in Oakland. Hide I am kinda worried about the location after dark, but hoping it won't be too bad for a tween show, kwim. I def. would NEVER go to to a R&B, Rap or Rock show there. Heck not even a sporting event laugh out loud

Thats cool about the Walmart photo op, Alexa would probably like that! We will skip the other pre show stuff probably, I guess it depends on how busy it is. I will try and pick up glow stick at some store. I think that most places have them right now since is about to be Halloween (I will try to make it to T, but I didn't get much sleep abnd I am not feeling so well). I will probably get her a shirt if she wants it, but those prices HURT!! laugh out loud As for camera, I was just going to use my camera phone at first (no way in hell I would bring my huge DSLR to a concert), but Alexa reminded me that we have her camera which is an old Kodak point and shoot. It should work just fine for what we need. Thankfully, it just takes regular batteries, so I will pack an extra pair of those as well. I am trying to "pack" light though, just what I can carry on my body, as it will make it easier to keep track of that way!

Thanks again for all the info!! It is really helping me plan things! I am nervous about taking her since we are going by ourselves. I occasionally still get bothered by larger crowds and over stimulation (something since my surgery), so I am hoping it all goes ok. Worse comes to worst, I will just sit down in our seat and close my eyes and ears. This is for her not me and we all know about self sacrifice as parents/grandparents. Yes, some would say I shouldn't go d/t all the "could be bad" things, but after all that we have been through as a family this year, I am just doing it all that we want and can (afford laugh out loud).
