Target Chit Chat

This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I had repeat C-section too. The second recovery was much easier. I made sure to have my bed flat (instead of the head section raised) most of the time. That way, when I stood up, I was straight laugh out loud
I had a good recovery with DS. Better than anyone expected. I'm hoping without 20 hours of labor and 3 hours of pushing that this one will be even better! Hopefully I'll be back on my feet and Targeting in no time. laugh out loud I can't let all that holiday help go to waste.

I've got my plan of attack all mapped out, my weapons of choice in my binder and I'm off to battle Whee

Before I go, I just have to say that when you are going through hard times and your child offers comfort, and wisdom that is mind boggling you know you have done at least something right in their upbringing. I am truly blessed.

Kat, haven't seen anymore posts from Thrift. Hopefully they are home resting. I'm sure they all need it something terrible.

I agree here. nod It was MUCH easier to recover the 2nd time around. B/c it is a repeat the docs really take their time during the surgery. Much unlike an emergency CS or even a 1st timer. I was up and at 'em 4 days later. I didn't even need near all my paid meds. Just one word of advice, don't do ANYTHING until you feel absolutely ready. If you try anything earlier, everyone will assume you are just fine and independent. Not a good thing if you need a little extra help Big Grin

How I do miss living in NYC. DH and I lived there for 3 years and it was an amazing experience. The cost of living is too outrageous though and we would've never been able to buy a house there.

Why do you keep cheating on us? Aren't we good enough for you? What do they have that we don't have? What do you need from us that you aren't getting?
I put this thread on ignore right after my oops warning, as I really don't need to see what they buy, but once in a while, when it is slow here, I feel the urge to go and look, and then want someone to slap me (thanks dpags!).
My house (with the deal with the paper guy) has started to begin to look like an episode of hoarders (I'm not good about getting the expireds out of the house and into the recycle bins). I found my couch the other night, as I had to clean it off to wrap a wedding present (much easier than cleaning off the kitchen table). I live by myself, but right now, even the cat is fed up with all the stuff in the house. This thread reminds me not to bring stuff home that doesn't have a place, unless it is for my house, the SILs or a immediate donation.

Wishing you STC and Rain-X runs!

Quick funny story about kids and the darndest things....

I rec'd a severance check from my employer on Friday and they deducted $4 for a benefit (that I obviously no longer qualify for since I don't work there anymore!) so when my son asked what I was doing when I making sure everything else was right I told him about the $4 error. I said, "I know it's only $4, but it's my $4". You know what he said? "It might only be $4, but that's like 16 cases of pop"! I heart him!!

I don't understand what Target is doing with their online Qs. Two days ago I found these TQs available which all expire on 17 November. When I navigate back to the Target Q page, I find that ONLY the Qs that expire on 7 November are available Confused , which is a totally different set of Qs. Thank goodness for the sites that have the TQ generator! Do they not want you to use the Halloween related TQs or the bakery TQ from the kiosk in the store?

It would be the SUCK to expect to print the 11/17 TQs while in the store today and them NOT BE THERE.

Do you need to borrow my rain-x suit? If you're not 9 months pregnant then you could use the belly portion as an extra pouch for glade! laugh out loud

We are home Yahoo!

We were released last night. thankfully this hasn't settled in the baby's respiritory system :knock on wood: We got home got baby bathed and fed and got ourselves something to eat and all got into bed at 8:30 (I think I got maybe 1.5 hrs of sleep in over 36 hrs). LJ decided he wanted to be awake. DH did his best to get him back down. I heard him tell LJ "you're just gonna have to put yourself to sleep" and plopped the baby between us in bed and crashed out. LJ was smiling and cooing and then put himself to sleep Teehee

Anyway, the ped said the fast test came back type A but they also sent off the 5 day test and over 90% of those are coming back H1N1. So add us to the list of unlucky people to have contracted this strain of influenza. We have a scrip for the rest of his Tamiflu. The ped also said he's baffled how the baby was sick (temp and elevated respirations) when he was admitted and he got better on his own not worse. They hadn't given him anything, not even the Tamiflu yet and LJ broke his fever and his respirations and all vitals were normal. I said BREASTFEEDING! Coverlaugh We aren't out of the woods yet, close to the outskits of it, but still could deal with fever again and cough/congestion. When they are so little this is what becomes a huge danger.

Now to pack up this house! DH sounds like hell and I am getting a nice cough from the congestion in my chest.
