Target Chit Chat

This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Thanks. Everyone on "that auction site" has to cover up the numbers completely, like someone is going to take them and use them if any part of the bar code is showing...

I saw on one of the pictures it says "up to $1.00 value", but it made it sound like it was coded for just the $1 off. Go figure.

Teri-I can't believe they watched the video over a shower curtain!
Lately I have been having multiples of things I only got one of rung up more than usual. I have always took the loss because I don't want them looking at my receipt with a fine-tooth comb. Still bothers me though. Frown

So we've had a crappy few days here but just wanted to let you all know my kid is officially potty trained. No more diapers except at night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were in the ER with him last night and the doc was examining him and he says he needs to go pee pee. We had waited SOOO long for the doc to come in but we had to go take him pee pee.

Didn't even look at the inserts this week, guess I'll check tomorrow and see if I missed anything good.

SLickCate - I didn't get any extra papers today - just my one delivery. What's the deal with Wags? Is it a nice moneymaker like last time? I made some nice cash on that last one - I still have time to run out for some papers!!
Today's RP has the $30 meter Q. Week of 11/8 at WAGS, it's Breeze or Contour $14.99 and $5 RR. So same deal as last time, but not $10. Still for me, I pay $1.25 tax per meter and get the $5 RR, to spend on stuff that I would otherwise not want to buy with real money!

Really?? I see the one for this week for buy $20 get $5 RR - the Breeze is $14.99 so you'd still have to buy something else (or two Breezes using 2 Qs). Is it different for the 11/8 ad? I don't see that ad.

walgreens 11/08 - 11/14 (scans will be posted soon)

The scans aren't up yet, but a source claims to have seen that there is a $5 RR for meters that week.. The rush to collect the meter Qs has been on this week! Hope we're not disappointed. This week's deal doesn't interest me, too much work for a $5 RR. LMAO

That's what I was thinking - way too much work for a $5 RR that I'd probably let expire anyway!! LMAO I did have a field day with those $10 RRs. That was a sweet, sweet deal. I think I'll ask my store to order me about 30 of them. I'll just tell them it's for the upcoming holiday season of giving - wonder if they'd do it Scratchchin (that "30" is no coincidence - thanks Dale!).

Is there a good deal on the olay gift sets? I could definitely use some I am glad you had a good day in Manhattan!! I love spending down time with the kiddos
Yes, what is the deal with those? I know 2 people that I could get them for this year!

Quote from tn_native :
I put this thread on ignore right after my oops warning, as I really don't need to see what they buy, but once in a while, when it is slow here, I feel the urge to go and look, and then want someone to slap me (thanks dpags!).
My house (with the deal with the paper guy) has started to begin to look like an episode of hoarders (I'm not good about getting the expireds out of the house and into the recycle bins). I found my couch the other night, as I had to clean it off to wrap a wedding present (much easier than cleaning off the kitchen table). I live by myself, but right now, even the cat is fed up with all the stuff in the house. This thread reminds me not to bring stuff home that doesn't have a place, unless it is for my house, the SILs or a immediate donation.

And not Glade Have you Gladed them too much in the past?

We ALL are. I get lonely sometimes (being by myself), but I know I can navigate over here and instantly be welcomed Hug2 and feel hearted. I feel like I KNOW some of you.
Umm, you can send me some coupons LMAOhug I was looking at my pitiful stack of inserts. I don't think I have gotten inserts in at least 3-4 months. I get one paper a week here, but unless you want granny bras, granny clothing or some miracle plant, then well you are out of luck

This thread is the best. The Publix and TCC are really the only ones I bother with anymore. CVS occasionally.

got home from T today and noticed that the cashier rung up a shower curtain twice. What to do....take the 25.00 loss, or go back and tell them I got charged for two and only bought one. So....I go back. CS girl looks at me and says, I have to call loss prevention. They come, take my receipt and disappear to watch the tape of my transaction. Tick Tock, Tick Tock...waiting. Finally, he comes back, hands me my receipt and tells me that the cashier scanned it, then started organizing/bagging stuff...had put the shower curtain under his arm and then re-scanned it. Apologized for the trouble and that was that.
I had that happen to me once, with a comforter! How can a comforter be double scanned, I have NO clue! If it hadn't been 50% off, I would have noticed, maybe...Anyhow, the LP said that they checked because sometimes people buy 2, then say one wasdouble scanned without returning...I had it happen to me a lot at the service desk when I worked @ T. Of course I was 16 then and could care less....

So over Wags. I did a little last week to get the Theraflu for a few people that needed it. My OOP is just too much being taxed on meds and pre-coupon price. Each set Zantac and Theraflu run cost me $3 oop (which I wasted a giftcard from transferring an rx on). I did 5 of them. Now I have 5 $9 RR's that I will do nothing with. Guess I am going to go find something useless that we don't need...I will be in FL the week of the meter deal, so may do a spin or two there since no tax and it would be $5 easy. Not sure though....

DD wants the grand view house...We saw it the other day, big mistake! I will have to check out the Barbie Townhouse though. The grand view is $299!!! That would be okay, but her "big" gift this year is a $2k item, so everything else needs to be MUCH cheaper...I do feel bad though, her big gift is a birthday and christmas rolled all in one. I do have to say, I love couponing, because without it, she would NOT be getting this gift, no way no how.

Thrifty...glad baby is at home and doing better.

My "baby" (7) got the crud last week. We were very happy that we didn't have to bring him in. He has asthma. 72 hours of treatments at 2 hour intervals wore all of us down. But it worked! Called his pediatrician on day 3 and got a script for prednisone. She added in an antibiotic as well cuz' he always gets bronchitis or pneumonia with any cold/flu. Happy and healthy now...for now. This season has hit hard and fast with him. This is his third round of illness since the beginning of September. I'm sort of hoping this last time WAS the flu....acted like it. More immunity.

4 Targets today....
3 windshields
1 bug
Not bad.

The bug? My B2G1 Glades didn't even register on the receipt? I watched them scan the correct bar code. I did not look at the screen though. Very weird. And sad....cuz' I only have 10 more of those.

Lot's of stuff going on in here....hope everyone stays healthy!

Her big gift is a wooden playset. I was just going to get one of the cheap metal swingsets, but she really has no interest in the swings. She wants the rock wall, the slides, the monkey bars, and the fire pole.

I don't want any more toys here, good lord no! I am tired of stepping on Barbie shoes. Seems she is really into them this year, ugh!

Congrats on the pregnancy btw! And I know this has been asked, but what are your kid's ages again? I go broke and insane with just 1! I don't know how you do it with 8, soon to be 9!
