This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

Ya know, though, I'm a vindictive, sly little devil. Here's what I would do:
Email the buyer and let them know that you will be contacting the police in her city, as well as the folks at Hollywood Movie Money, and explaining the situation to them. They can see the IP address used to redeem the tickets (even if she was slick enough to use a fake name...which in and of itself might be fraudulent on her part), and track her through that. Tell her all that. And tell her that you WILL press charges through the D.A. for theft, and that you will copy everything to PayPal/Ebay as well.

Now, IF when I called they would have said, "Oh this card has already been used," then I would have---well, see my reply to Sharon, above.
And I wouldn't have let it go. Ever. SOMEONE would be reimbursing me, either Target or the Post Office (if they didn't get a signature on delivery)...and if I could determine that the buyer received and used the card, then it would have been on like Donkey Kong.
Oh, and it goes without saying, NEVER send a gift card code or anything else via email UNLESS you ALSO send a paper copy or the actual card (WITH delivery confirmation, and, I advise, insurance).

Oh my humor is bad tonight! I fell down our stairs and I messed up my back so badly that I am getting shooting pains whenever I sneeze, move, walk, shift ... so I am now having a wee drink of Limeade, Sprite, & Lt Rum trying to get the shooting pain to subside!

Dec12 - Hope your back feels better soon!!! My neighbours boy came over this morning at 9:30 (they know I'm not an early riser.. argh) and asked if they could borrow 2 of my percocet... Told me Doug's (neighbour) back surgery got cancelled and he couldn't move to get to the doctors.. and said they would give them back when they got his prescription filled. Half an hour later I heard him trying to get in the car to go to the doctors.. OMG, the sounds he was making.. I remember them well... Bad back + getting into car = OUCH x 100
My GD went out as an angel in honour of her Daddy... Made my heart break. It was another "1st" without him here. I'm still finding it so hard, still lots of
Sorry but this is so OT, but I guess I need to share abit tonight, feeling very down and crying about Dave. So go ahead and skip this post if you want... But sharing on here is sometimes easier than talking to my non internet family and friends. So thanks for letting me spill my feelings out to you all..
My favorite time is Christmas, I think this will be the worst one I've had... I had a brother and my "2nd" mom die just before Christmas, but losing my son (though most of you know he was legally just my son in law, but since I raised him since he was 16, he was not only my DD husband, he was my son)
and since his "biological mom" was a JW. Christmas became his favorite holiday too!
It's going to be a hard one this year, but really going to try and make the best of it. With all the things we discussed in the months before he died, we got so much organized for the future without him.
He left letters and gifts for my DD and my GD for after he died.. to be given to them a month after he died, then on my DD birthday, my GD birthday, Christmas, their wedding anniversary, the one year anniversary of his death - that will be the last one for my DD. My GD will get them on her 16th, 19th, 21st birthday, her graduation and her wedding day - that one will be the last one for her.
For Christmas this year he wanted me to fill my living room floor with stuffed animals of all sizes... my GD LOVES them and treats them like they are real pets. I told him how much I hate having all the ones that she already has ( a ton of them), but how could I say no... she will love it. They also both get some lovely sentimental items... as well he wanted them both to have a HUGE bear with a T-shirt and a pic of him with "I love you forever" printed on them.
My DD always used to hug him or the pillow went she went to sleep, so he's added a little message for me to attach to both of them.
Doing all this makes it so hard to continue to move on at times. But I promised to fullfill all his requests.
Sorry that was so long.. and a downer... Made me feel somewhat better though, so THANK YOU for letting me type away.
Saw an endcap at Target today with all the cereals listed for the B3G1 deal and Apple Jacks and Fruit Loops were there too. No sign up officially, but it sure looked like it was going to be the display endcap!

Not only do I send items over $250 with signature confirmation (as is required by Ebay/PayPal), but I also insure them. AND we keep a photocopy of the back of the card. The one time something was slow to arrive and the buyer got nervous, I called and could have had the card blocked and a new one issued (thankfully the original arrived the next day so it was all good).

And as for my thief and my $400 Target gift card (which I bought through a service where i got them for 20% off, so it cost me $320, but still!) I used his email address to find him on Myspace... It was some punk ass rich looking college student. I emailed him and told him off and said I hope he can sleep at night, ripping off a pregnant woman right after she lost her job. Bastard! His Ebay name was something like GrandmaFlo... Grandma, right!
