This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Quote from doublesided :
My DS is not 3 yet and we PT him in less than a month. A couple of things we used that worked for us:
-we piled hot wheels and other cars toys on top of the bathroom sink. Randomly when he went #2, he'd get to pick a toy. Inspired him to go constantly. He knew when the pile was done he'd get a cars laptop that was on top of the toilet
-separate incentives for dry diapers
-stickers every time he went #1
-cool underwear
one day after all this PT we went to put a diaper on him and he said NO. Ever since, it's underwear only, only a couple of accidents and he LOVES to go #2. He sits there and grunts and explains how it's coming out of his butt. We make it fun. We also have a travel potty we keep in the car so if he says he has to go somewhere inconvenient, we can just pull over and let him do his business.

He's pretty quick with everything though, we think he's smarter than us. I'm sick so we had a rough night last night. The kid wakes at 7a, he can't stir us. He grabs his tag reader and sits in his room and reads books until we wake up. We hear him over the monitor and laugh like crazy.
Aw, what a good boy! DS got a hot wheels for the peeing...we used to tape one to the wall with a chart for our older DS and that worked for #2. I actually found a book on Amazon called "It Hurts When I Poop". I just HAD to get it b/c the character's name is Ryan (my DS' name), he loves dinosaurs (check), and he holds his poop in b/c he says it hurts (check again). So it goes through Ryan going to the Dr. and the Dr. telling him what he needs to do to take control of his poop. I read that to him as often as he'll let me.
The problem with the underwear is that b/c of the witholding, he's streaking all of his undies! And doesn't seem too upset by that.
Oldest DS was 3 years and 8 months when he was finally fully potty trained, so I'm just trying to be patient...

Yeah P I've been flying solo since the end of Oct. My mom has been a great help but sleeping in my old twin bed from childhood is the suck. Oh well better than the floor. I'm ready for J to be here!

You can't go wrong with BE makeup. You just 'fluff' it on. The colors are very forgiving, and it doesn't even have to be exac t. Get a kabuki brush. Dip in powdr, shake off excess, brush on face. Again and again until you are satisfied with the coverage. Dust on some be blush, and then dust on some finishing dust, and you are flawless!

OMG. That happened once. It was Frown
Iagree I've used BE exclusively for the past 6-7 years. heart it. There is NO WAY I could go back to using liquid foundation EVAH!

laugh out loud It's my ghetto fab Target! It's across the street from a Super Walmart, so it's a forgotten entity which means mofome Coverlaugh - lots of untouched Glade, clearance items, and peelies!
Send me your addy, I have some of the $3/2 Starbucks I can send you. My Giant Eagle had $2/2 peelies on their SB bags.

And I think the Stovetop TPC started Sunday, but I could be wrong.

Hmmm... That sounds an awful lot like my son, who's 4. He never said it hurts, but he holds it for 3 or 4 days before finally going. He was streaking his underwear, but is slowly growing out of that. In fact, now he seems to know when he has to go and is letting us know. Its very odd, because up until he was 2 1/2 or 3 years old, he would go like clockwork, right before afternoon naptime. Every day. I still have him sit and try at that same time every day, but he only goes two or three times a week. Very strange. Is this normal??

Weird. Mine has an issue where when he has to go, he has to go right then and there, no waiting. He goes 2-3x a day. If we don't catch it in time, that's our problem.

Mine does what we call the Humpty Dance, trying NOT to go. It drives us crazy! He is also on daily miralax to help the process, but still holds it! They tested him for Celiac's and an underactive thyroid...but my suspicion is that it's behavioral b/c when we first took him to the gastroenterologist, he miraculously stopped doing it for awhile, then went back to the witholding and then when we got his bloodwork done for the tests, he stopped again.

I apologize for asking someone else to do my diligence. Oh, and i have a lot of those $3/2 starbucks peelies. Is that a good thing? Big Grin

thanks so much and have a great day! woot

heart me some free baby wipes!

M2CK: Sorry about your CC. That is no fun... Do you think someone could've gone into your wallet at the hospital and wrote the numbers down? Scratchhead

This is what I am doing with all the Glade. Ebay seems to be saturated. The baskets are $5 with 2 products on the inside. The baskets came for the $1 spot at 75%off. Med baskets with 5 products are $10 and Large baskets with 10 products are 20. Single products are $1.50 I am selling them at work and they are going like crazy... The single products for $1.50 are moving....Im selling bags of those.. I sold alot of the small baskets. The closer it gets to Christmas I know more will sell...bounce

The pic in the middle is sitting on a charger..I found some 4pks for $1.48 (75%off). The ribbon is from 90%off last years Christmas from various stores...

i was only able to get one of the tin planters in pic #1. can i ask what kind of plastic you wrapped it in? looks like shrink wrap in the pic.

i haven't had the time to haul it out of the top of the closet yet, but i'm hoping the ashtray and refill will work in those xmas themed felt buckets and bags i picked up 75% off at the dollar spot last yr. i remember thinking they were very cute and cheaper than buying gift bags so i bought all i could find, even though i didn't know what i was going to do w/ them at the time, haha! i took a look and this yrs are not as cute or as nice quality.

just wondering if you got the jimmy dean q's on time.

Great idea! Are you selling the baskets on ebay? Or just word of mouth or Craigslist? That is very creative Smilie

Speaking of pottying... lol... I'm reading ya'll talking and suddenly hear dd grunting - look over to see her sitting on her potty chair doing the deed without me saying anything!! yay!

When she finished, she brought the bowl to me and says "look mommy!!! brown... I proud of you!!"

ETA:

I think the starbucks peelies and b2g1 stove top q's are a fable... NEVER saw one.

I did notice lots of 3.00 of Shick razor peelies on Edge/Skintimate shave gels last time I was at T. Too busy to pilfer more than 1. Also, lots of bogo nivea peelies.
